13 Genera Information INTORQ brakes are designed so tat te stated rated torques are reiaby attained after a sort run-in operation. Given te fuctuating properties of te organic friction inings used and canging environmenta conditions, tere may owever be deviations from te stated braking torques. Appropriate safety factors in te design must take tis into account. An increased breakaway torque may in particuar be experienced in damp conditions and wit canging temperatures after ong downtimes. Te braking torque soud be cecked wen using te brake on te customer's friction surfaces.
