ACCUMULATOR MODULES The Accmlator Modle consists of a welded strctral steel skid assembly with a flid reservoir, provisions for monting the electric pmp, air pmp system, hydralic control manifold, interface modle and the type and qantity of accmlators. 5 42 ELECTRIC MOTOR DRIVEN PUMP MODULES The Electric Motor Driven Pmp Modle is the primary sorce for generating hydralic energy which is stored in the accmlators to operate the BOP stack. These pmps are offered in a variety of options and operating voltages to meet cstomer reqirements. Standard Electric Pmp Modle is designed for operation in hazardos locations where the presence of explosive gases is anticipated and incldes atomatic electric explosion-proof starters, motors and pressre switches. Electrical components that meet NEMA, NEC and UL specifications are standard in these modles The Electric Pmp Modle is set to atomatically stop when system reaches working pressre and restart when system pressre drops to 10% below working pressre Each Electric Pmp Modle is sized to meet the greater of the following two conditions: a. Close the specific annlar preventer in se and open the hydralic-actated choke valve within two mintes (with the accmlators blocked) b. 6 5 AIR OPERATED PUMP MODULES Air Operated Pmp Modle is the secondary sorce sed to provide high pressre flid energy to charge the accmlator and operate the BOP stack fnctions. Air Pmp Modle is spplied in many options to meet the specifications and economic reqirements of the cstomer The design performance ratios offered ensre that the rig air spply system is not overbrdened while at the same time the system can still develop the hydralic system operating pressre even in the event of low rig air pressre flow Air Pmp Modle has a hydro pnematic pressre valve which is set to stop the pmps at slightly below operating pressre and restart atomatically when system pressre falls to approximately 400 PSI TYPES OF MODULES T-SERIES This series featres a Sper Sixty (60:1) pmp ratio with self adjsting packing and tngsten carbide valve seats driven by an 8-1/2" air motor prodcing the highest flow rate M-SERIES This series featres the same flid end design as the T-Series bt with pmps available in 7-3/8" air motor E-SERIES This economy series maintains the ability to reach system opening pressre even if the rig air spply pressre is low. 8 7 INTERFACE MODULES The Interface Modle is monted on the BOP Control System and provides remote control capability of hydralic control manifold fnctions. TYPES OF MODULES A-SERIES The A-Series Interface Modle is applicable for air remote panels only and contains no solenoid valves or transdcers. 9 8 REMOTE CONTROL PANELS Located at a safe distance from the rig floor to ease space restrictions and increase safety, Remote Control Panels give the driller complete control of the BOP stack and provide intitive operation of the BOP Control System with its hydralic control manifold. DRILLER REMOTE PANEL Easily accessible to the driller This panel is located at the driller station and is capable of operating every BOP stack fnction, controlling reglated pressre to the annlar preventer for stripping operation and is capable of immediately switching from reglated pressre to the fll accmlator pressre to the RAM preventer. It can also provide additional closing force that may be reqired dring extreme well control conditions This panel incldes gages or meters for remote indication of the varios operating pressres and open-close stats of the manifold control valves position AUXILIARY REMOTE PANEL A second Remote Panel is recommended near the emergency exit or in a safe location from where the BOP stack can be controlled.
