When sed in conjnction with reverse acting actators they become normally closed valve assemblies. The water diverts in the valve and mixes in the T the flow enters the common port The side port mst be connected to the spply of the coil The bottom port mst be connected to the bypass arond the coil. The valve body mst be installed in the direction indicated on the valve body cavity OIL Stem Up Stem own WY - V2 MIXING VLVE OY - 2 and 4 The mixing valve body is installed on the retrn side of the coil. The water diverts in the T and mixes in the valve. Piping example No: The flow enters port from the coil and port from the bypass and exits from the common port STEM UP: FLOW - STEM OWN: FLOW - Piping example No 2: The flow enters port from the coil and port from the bypass and exits from the common port STEM UP: FLOW - STEM OWN: FLOW - Example Example 2 OIL OIL SOLER INSTRUTIONS If direct solder bodies are sed, remove the stem packing cartridge before installation as the heat will damage the packing. If solder nions are sed, solder the nions withot the sealing O-ring. IMPORTNT INSTLLTION NOTES The complete valve assembly can be installed vertically or horizontally; it cannot be installed pside down. The ctator monting thmbnt is to be tightened by hand only, sing tools may reslt in over-tightening.
