Any damage of the apparats may reslt explosion protection nll and void. This manal represents the most relevant information abot the prodct, applicable codes and reglations shall spplement it. Non-observance will endanger persons, plant and the environment. The person in charge is reqired to secre its employment in the indstrial nit. Any improper sage, as well as non-compliance with the rles nder this manal, shall release the manfactrer s all responsibilities. The flameproof joints are not intended to be disassembled or repaired. The lminaire shall not be opened 1.1 Before assembly/commissioning: 1.2 When operating the device: Read throgh the operating instrctions. Give adeqate training to the assembly and operating personnel. Ensre that the contents of the operating instrctions are flly nderstood by the personnel in charge. The national installation and assembly reglations (e.g. IEC/EN ) apply. Ensre the operating instrctions are made available for the person in charge on location at all times. Observe these instrctions, other working instrctions and national safety reglations. Verify the implementation of safety instrctions. 2. Intended ield of Application The Universal Explosion Proof LED Lighting, Model L1319 is intended for sing in gas explosive atmospheres (Zone 1 and Zone 2 according to IEC ) and dst explosion hazards (Zone 21 and Zone 22 according to IEC ). The se in other potentially explosive atmospheres does not correspond to 1

2 the designated se and is therefore not allowed. The apparats is designed for sing in indoor and otdoor environments. 3. Assembly and Installation 6.1 Electrical Connection Overview 1: Jnction Box ( Provide by cstomer) 2: Cable (Length(min):1.5 m) 3: L1319 Lighting Electrical Connection 1. Insert the cable (2) of the lminary into the Ex certified Jnction Box (1). 2. ix and Introdce the wires of lminary with the terminal post of Jnction Box (White-wire connects to Netral; Red-wire connects to Live; Green-wire connects to Grond.) Attention: 1. The Jnction Box mst be pass the Ex db/ex tb certification that approved by IECEx/ATEX. 2. The minimm diameter of sitable cable for cable gland is 7.5 mm. 3. The cable types are: SJTW or SOOW, 18/3C AWG, 1 m length. 3

4 6.2 Monting Bracket Installation Wall & Hanging Mont Bracket The mont bracket is for the se of both Wall mont (igre 1) and Hanging mont (igre 2). Position the bracket holders and fix it by means of the provided M8 screws, 61 kgf-cm. Secre the Wall/Hanging monting bracket to the strctre by sing for fasteners (not provided). The angle of lighting fixtre can be adjsted. igre 1 igre Ceiling Mont The monting bracket is for the se of Ceiling monting. Position the bracket holders and fix it by means of the provided M6 screws, 24.5 kgf-cm. (igre 3) Secre the wall monting bracket to the strctre by sing for fasteners (not provided). igre Pendant monting The monting type is for the se of bending tbe monting (igre 4). Tbe monting thread is NPT 3/4. Thread the tbe monting on condit and torqe ntil wrench-tight as reqirement, 2700 kgf-cm. igre Stanchion monting 25 The monting types are for the se of bending tbe monting (igre 5). Tbe monting thread is NPT 1-1/2 Thread the tbe monting on condit and torqe ntil wrench-tight as reqirement, 6600 kgf-cm. igre Grond wire External earth screw location as showing in the Red Circle of right pictres. The external earth grond wire installation and terminal type as show the right pictres. Grond wire cross-sectional area=4mm²,max LED Both grond screw and washer material is stainless steel. Screw hole spec: M5. Torqe reqirement: 14.5 kgf.cm. Ensre wire is tied assred. 4

5 6.4 Ptting into Service Before ptting into operating, it s necessary to ensre that: the lighting is correctly installed. the connection has been correctly made. the cable has been inserted correctly. the voltage is correctly 7. Maintenance To avoid dangers de to energized parts, all connections and wiring mst be disconnected from the power spply. Secre the connections against nathorized activation. To avoid risk of brn to hands, let the hosing, the cable gland and the protective glass cool down for approximate 30 mintes before toching them. Maintenance work is not permitted on flameproof enclosres. Repairs are only to be carried ot by the manfactrer. Unathorized repair shall case the manfactrer s liability and warranty expires. Reglar Maintenance Conslt the relevant national reglations (e.g. IEC/EN ) to determine the type and extent of inspections. Arrange the plan of reglar inspection with the eqipment, one time per 3-month at least, so that any defects in the eqipment which may be anticipated are promptly detected. To check as part of the maintenance schedle as following: Cracks or damages on the glass cover and/or on the enclosre. Condition of the connecting cables. Screws of the monting bracket are tightened. 8. Accessories and Spare Parts Use only original THT-EX accessories and spare parts. or accessories and spare parts, see data sheet at 9. Transport, Storage and Disposal Transport and storage is only allowed in the original packaging, on the way pointed ot on the carton box. Transport Shock-free in its original carton, do not drop, and handle careflly. Store Store in a dry place in its original packaging. Disposal Ensre environmentally friendly disposal of all components according to the legal reglations. 5
