As the ser enters the beam s effective range (22 to 42 ) the beam is reflected into the OPTIMA Pls Scanner Window and transformed into a low voltage electrical circit. Once activated, the Otpt Circit contines in a hold mode for as long as the ser remains within the effective range of the Sensor. 3. When the ser steps away from the OPTIMA Pls Sensor, the circit waits 3 seconds (to prevent false flshing) then initiates an electrical signal that operates the Solenoid. This initiates the flshing cycle to flsh the fixtre. The Circit then atomatically resets and is ready for the next ser. The test regimes assess three conditions of safety. These are: 1-Intended se simlation: Partial se, vibration, thermal shock, and mechanical shock 2-Reasonably foreseeable misse: Incorrect installation, external short-circit, free fall (ser-drop), over-discharge, and crsh 3-Design consideration: Thermal abse, mold stress CAUTION: Batteries may explode or leak, and case brn injry, if recharged, disposed of in fire, mixed with a different battery type, inserted backwards or disassembled. Replace all sed batteries at the same time. Do not carry batteries loose in yor pocket or prse. Do not remove the battery label. Keep small batteries (i.e., AAA) away from children. If swallowed, conslt a physician at once. Batteries may rptre or leak if involved in a fire. Use any extingishing media appropriate for the srronding area. Large qantities of batteries involved in a fire will rptre and release castic potassim hydroxide. Firefighters shold wear self-contained breathing apparats and protective clothing. Avoid mechanical and electrical abse. Do not short circit or install incorrectly. Batteries may rptre or vent if disassembled, crshed, recharged or exposed to high temperatres. Install batteries in accordance with eqipment instrctions. Store batteries in a dry place at normal room temperatre. Refrigeration does not make them last longer. Notify spill personnel of large spills. Irritating and flammable vapors may be released from leaking or rptred batteries. Spread batteries apart to stop shorting. Eliminate all ignition sorces. Evacate area and allow vapors to dissipate. Clean-p personnel shold wear appropriate PPE to avoid eye and skin contact and inhalation of vapors or fmes. Increase ventilation. Careflly collect batteries and place in appropriate container for disposal. Remove any spilled liqid with absorbent material and contain for disposal. 8. Disposal Considerations (GHS Section 13) Collection & Proper Disposal Dispose of sed (or excess) batteries in compliance with federal, state/provincial and local reglations. Do not accmlate large qantities of sed batteries for disposal as accmlations cold case batteries to short-circit. Do not incinerate. In contries, sch as Canada and the EU, where there are reglations for the collection and recycling of batteries, consmers shold dispose of their sed batteries into the collection network at mnicipal depots and retailers.
