2 AVIONICS DIVISION The Divisin carries ut scientific and research wrks and design and engineering wrks, as well as small series prductin f avinics systems and devices, measurement and diagnstics devices, and electrical installatins and systems fr planes, helicpters and unmanned aerial vehicles. The Divisin is als equipped with a certified Labratry fr Envirnmental Research. The Divisin takes part in Plish and Eurpean grants (ERA, EPATS, SOFIA, Super SKYSENSE, CESAR). The Divisin is als apprved as a Prductin Organizatin and a Maintenance Organizatin. The Prductin Organizatin f the Aviatin Institute, apprved by the Civil Aviatin Authrity (Urząd Ltnictwa Cywilneg) by Regulatin 16/008 f the Eurpean Parliament and by the Eurpean Cuncil and Eurpean Cmmissin Regulatin 170/003 under Part 1, Sectin A, Subpart G, is authrized fr prductin f the prducts, parts and appliances listed in its apprval list, and fr issuing an apprved prductin rganizatin authrized release certificate EASA FORM 1 frm. Design and Cnstructin Wrks The Divisin ffers design and cnstructin wrks as fllws: - systems invlved in airplane and RPAS mvement in civil airspace, in all flight stages, - avinics systems, especially stabilizatin and classical, indirect and autmatic steering f airplanes, RPAS, satellites and ther steering systems, - avinics devices fr mvement measurement (a..: CDA, radialtimeter), spatial psitin (a..: INS, AHRS) and peratinal values (a..: fuel meters), - mathematical mdelling f aircraft flight dynamics, - design f micrprcessr systems as cnversin devices dedicated fr measurement systems and devices, stabilizatin, cntrl and diagnstics systems, especially fr ariplanes, RPAS, satellites avinics equipment, and als fr ther devices and system elements that demand the use f a cmputing platfrm fr implementatin f numerical algrithms, - fast prttyping f avinics devices, their assembly and certified prductin fr the cmmercial user, - testing the resilience and strength regarding mechanical cnditins (vibratins and hits) and climatic cnditins (ambient temperature, increased misture, lw pressure) f technical devices and installatins, aerstructures and avinics, and als ther devices and system elements designed in the Institute f Aviatin, which demand such testing.

The Divisin has the ptential t manufacture prttypes and carry ut shrt-run prductin f smart systems aimed at precise measurement and diagnstic & indicating tasks. Our labratries are equipped with the necessary test beds and measuring systems t carry ut the cmplex analysis f prducts. Examples f systems designed and manufactured in the Avinics Divisin, which are installed in Plish aircraft, as well as used in labratries: - rudder trim cntrller fr the Orlik airplane, - fuel gauging systems (capacitive type) fr the I- Iryda, the PZL M-8 Bryza and the Skytruck airplanes and the W-3 Skl helicpter, - radialtimeter the RWL-750M, used as avinic equipment in the I- Iryda, the PZL M-8, the Bryza airplanes and the Anaknda helicpter, - trquemetering system used in the W-3 Skl helicpter, - lighting regulatr and warning systems fr the I- Iryda and the PZL M-8 Skytruck airplanes, - telemetric data transmissin system fr an unmanned aircraft, - autnmus cntrl system fr an unmanned aircraft RAC analg/digital data recrder designed fr data acquisitin, strage and playback, - GPPA-3, GPPA-4 generatrs and the GWE- electrstatic discharge generatr, - AROS - an autnmus fatigue lads data recrder, - testing instruments: - TRS fr n-bard radi-transceivers, - TPPM-1 fr fuel gauging systems, - T4S fr radialtimeters, - UD-100M fr trquemeters, - MRT-3 fr radi/navigatin systems.

4 Avinics Divisin Envirnmental Labratry The Labratry acquired Testing Labratry Certificate N. AB 13, issued by the Plish Center fr Accreditatin in February 005, in cmpliance with PN-EN ISO/IEC 1705:005 standard requirements. The scpe f this certificate cvers tests f resistance t mechanical hazards, climate stresses and functinal inspectin f prducts.
