2 GENEAL A TANSFOME VAULT IS AN ENCLOSED COMPATMENT WITHIN A BUILDING O BELOW GOUND LEVEL ESPECIALLY DESIGNED FO THE TYPE TANSFOMES SPECIFIED BY THE COMPANY. A TANSFOME ENCLOSUE IS A SPECIAL COMPATMENT SUITABLE FO INSTALLING COMPANY'S STANDAD TANSFOMES. SUCH ENCLOSUE MAY UTILIZE THE CUSTOME'S BUILDING WALL(S) AS ONE O MOE SIDES OF THE ENCLOSUE. ALL ENCLOSUES MUST HAVE A EMOVABLE COVE APPOVED BY THE ENGINEE EXCEPT THOSE LOCATED IN ISOLATED O POTECTED AEAS WHEE, IN THE WITTEN OPINION OF THE ENGINEE, THEE IS NO EASONABLY FOESEEABLE DANGE OF ACCESS BY MINOS, WOKMEN AND OTHE MEMBES OF THE PUBLIC. ONLY AUTHOIZED COMPANY PESONNEL SHALL HAVE ACCESS TO TANSFOME VAULTS O ENCLOSUES AND ALL ENTY DOOS SHALL BE KEPT LOCKED UNLESS ATTENDED. TANSFOME LOCATION IT IS THE CUSTOME'S ESPONSIBILITY TO POVIDE A TANSFOME LOCATION OUTSIDE OF THE BUILDING THAT ALLOWS US TO USE OU STANDAD MINEAL OIL FILLED TANSFOMES AND STANDAD FUSING METHODS. IF THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE, POGESS ENEGY WILL INSTALL TANSFOMES, SWITCHES AND FUSES INSIDE A BUILDING IN A CUSTOME SUPPLIED VAULT THAT IS IN COMPLIANCE WITH NEC ATICLE 45. THIS ATICLE STATES THAT UNDE CETAIN CONDITIONS, MINEAL OIL TANSFOMES CAN BE INSTALLED INSIDE BUILDINGS. HOWEVE, TO AVOID CONFUSION AND TO KEEP POGESS ENEGY FOM HAVING TO MONITO CONTINUED COMPLIANCE WITH THESE CONDITIONS, ALL VAULTS WITHIN A BUILDING WILL BE EQUIPPED WITH TANSFOMES USING A LESS FLAMMABLE DIELECTIC. IN ADDITION THE TANSFOME(S) WILL BE FUSED WITH CUENT LIMITING FUSES. AS MENTIONED IN THE FUSE SECTION ABOVE. THIS CUENT LIMITING FUSE (CL) EDUCES THE FAULT CUENT AVAILABLE WITHIN THE TANSFOME TANK. THE LESS FLAMMABLE DIELECTIC, COOPE "F", AISES THE FIE POINT OF THE TANSFOME DIELECTIC TO ABOVE C. THIS COMBINATION GEATLY EDUCES THE CHANCE OF CATASTOPHIC FAILUE DUING A PIMAY FAULT IN THE TANSFOME. TANSFOMES SPECIAL THEE-PHASE VAULT TANSFOMES AE AVAILABLE. THESE TANSFOMES AE STAINLESS STEEL UNITS AND AE FILLED WITH LESS-FLAMMABLE FLUID. THEY AE ALSO FULLY ATED FO OPEATION IN A 5 C AMBIENT ENVIONMENT. FO VAULT TANSFOME BANKS CONSISTING OF BANKED SINGLE-PHASE UNITS, STANDAD SINGLE-PHASE DOUBLE BUSHING TANSFOMES CAN BE USED POVIDING THEY AE MODIFIED. USE A STANDAD STAINLESS STEEL UNIT WHEN AVAILABLE. THESE UNITS SHOULD BE DAINED AND FLUSHED OF THE EXISTING MINEAL OIL AND FILLED WITH A LESS-FLAMMABLE FLUID SUCH AS F. AANGEMENTS SHOULD BE MADE WITH THE TANSFOME SHOP TO HAVE THIS DONE. THE TANSFOMES SHOULD ALSO BE CONVETED FOM LIVE BUSHINGS TO BUSHING WELLS IN THE TANSFOME SHOP. THE TANSFOMES SHOULD BE DEATED FO OPEATION IN THE HIGHE AMBIENT TEMPEATUE CONDITIONS BY.5% FO EACH C ABOVE A C AMBIENT. FUSES FULL ANGE CUENT LIMITING SUBMESIBLE FUSES AE AVAILABLE FO USE IN VAULTS. 3 DESIGN VAULT SPECIFICATIONS AND EQUIEMENTS SHALL BE POVIDED TO THE CUSTOME BY POGESS ENEGY ENGINEEING EPESENTATIVE. CUSTOME MUST FUNISH DETAILED DAWINGS FO EVIEW AND APPOVAL PIO TO CONSTUCTION. THE OOM'S INSIDE DIMENSIONS AE TO BE A MINIMUM OF ' LENGTH X 4' WIDTH X ' HEIGHT. THE LENGTH WILL BE EQUIED TO BE MOE THAN ' IF MOE THAN ONE TANSFOME IS EQUIED. ONLY EQUIPMENT OWNED BY POGESS ENEGY WILL BE ALLOWED INSIDE THE VAULT OOM. VAULT OOM MUST MEET ALL THE EQUIEMENTS OF NEC 45 SECTION III, TANSFOME VAULTS, INCLUDING THE CONSTUCTION OF WALLS, OOFS AND FLOOS, DOOWAYS, VENTILATION, DAINAGE, ETC. THE VAULT OOM MUST EMAIN EADILY ACCESSIBLE TO POGESS ENEGY O POGESS ENEGY CONTACTO LINE AND SEVICE VEHICLES AT ALL TIMES. THE AEA IN FONT OF THE ENTANCE FO A GOUND LEVEL VAULT MUST BE LEVEL PAVEMENT O CONCETE IN ODE TO ALLOW EQUIPMENT TO BE EASILY OLLED UP TO THE DOO. THE FLOOS MUST HAVE A 4" PVC CONDUIT SLEEVE IN EACH CONE OF THE VAULT TO ALLOW POGESS ENEGY TO INSTALL GOUND ODS. THE SLEEVES MUST EXTEND THOUGH THE FLOO TO THE GOUND BELOW.
