The OFF poston can be reached only when the man contacts are fully opened. The handle wll reach the OFF poston only f the pn A can be engaged nto the slot 8 of the operatng mechansm. n case of unbreakable weldng of any man contact due to non correct applcaton of the crcut breaker, the mechansm wll bump on ths pn. easy nstallaton reverse feedng common depth All standard and hgh nterruptng Compact crcut breakers from 50 to 00A have a common depth of 4 /". connecton CuAL pressure termnals are lsted per U L fle E 078 and can be ether factory or feld nstalled. bultn termnal blocks are provded wth the accessores, consequently ntermedate termnals are not requred for the connecton of control wrng. They are located behnd an accessory front cover. Removng ths cover gves no access to drect access to lve parts. nternal accessores are UL lsted and are feld nstallable. MERLN GERN renforced nsulaton Two nsulaton barrers separate the front face of the crcut breaker from the man contacts (4000 volts delectrc test between man contacts and front cover). Ths renforced nsulaton allows a safe operaton and safe nstallaton of the electrcal auxlares. The casng n whch they are nstalled s ndependant from the casng of the man contacts. ntegral parttonng Once the front cover has been removed, to gve access to the auxlary compartments, the man crcuts reman fully nsulated. Furthermore, nterphase parttonng allows full nstallaton between each pole even f the front cover has been removed. dsconnectng nterlock As a safety feature, n the event of dsconnectng a closed breaker, a mechancal nterlock wll trp the breaker before the separaton of the man dsconnects. 3

Ths mutual assstance notceably reduces contact wear. These performances are obtaned by combnaton of the followng technques n the current lmtng block : contact repulson enhancement of nduced magnetc feld arc quenchng. arc quenchng due to the desgn and materals of the arc chute, a magnetc force F draws the arc nto the Vshaped plates. t s then splt and coo led untl extncton. contact repulson Electrodynamc forces are generated by the current flowng n parallel conductors. 10 .... Compact CK crcut breakers trp unts neutral sensor Ground fault protecton may be appled on 304W or 303W crcuts. On 304W an external neutral sensor must be used. Ths neutral current sensor shall have the same ampere ratng as the breaker. The followng are current sensors for use wth CK breakers equpped wth ST 35ST, ST 35GT or ST 35LT trp unts. ratng 400A 800A 000A 00A for CK 400 CK 800 CK 000L CK 00 cat. no wrng t shall be as ndcated n opposte fg. and on the neutral sensor label. These termnals are ntended for use wth 8 to 4 A WG stranded copper wre. Zone Selectve nterlockng Opton Z provdes selectvty and reduces the duraton of fault compared to tradtonal tmedelayed selectvty. Tests are not desgned to calbrate the breaker.
