Terms of delivery: ll KUP attachments up to class 4 mountg, with the exception of tegral attachments and sideshifter models 2T151P4N and T151P2, can be supplied with hoses and couplgs if specified. 2. and safety: The T-classes 1T-40T are based on the capacity of the forklift truck. ttachment capacity is the maximum weight at a given load center that the attachment can safely support. Please note: the capacity listed for clamps is an dication of the maximum weight that the clamp structure can safely support. It is not necessarily the maximum weight that can be picked up and held between the arms, as different loads vary shape and friction. KUP attachments correspond to the requirements of the valid NI/ITDF regulations regardg quality, safety and technical documentation. ll KUP attachments with dependent sideshift are equipped with components from the T151P2 sideshifter range. This means that all attachments with dependent sideshift feature OFTTOP end-of-stroke slowdown, which automatically throttles the shiftg speed over approximately the last 0.6" (15 mm) of sideshift stroke. This greatly improves truck stability when stackg at high levels. ll Kaup attachments also corporate MOOTHROLL bottom hooks with compact rollers. 3. Dimensions, weight and technical data are non-bdg and are subject to change. 4. Toe-: The distance between the arms or forks of clamps like the ale Clamps, rick Clamps, Fork Clamps is different at the rear side of the arms than it is at the tips. This is called clamp toe-. The openg ranges given our brochure are always measured at the rear of the arms. With an arm length of 39.4" (1,000 mm) the toe- is approximately 1.2" (30 mm) total, 0.6" (15 mm) on each side. This is necessary to compensate for the natural deflection of the clampg arms durg transport. Without toe-, loads (such as fragile goods like television sets) that are clamped at the rear side could slide off the tips. ppliance Clamps and Carton Clamps with adjustable toe- are available. 5. Operation hazardous areas: everal attachments from the KUP range are, after appropriate modifications, suitable for operation explosion hazardous areas. ll these attachments are manufactured accordg to the appropriate UL and NFP standards. These versions are the most common sizes, widths and openg ranges. These attachments have more favorable delivery times. 7. Weldg certificate: Kaup s products are quality products which require a substantial amount of weldg. KUP weldg conforms to DIN EN IO : and accordance with German Lloyd regulations. Products made by Lift Technologies conform to the W 1.11 standard North merica. 8. Foundry versions: The foundry versions of rotators feature closed fork carriage plates and closed base plates, and the hydraulic hoses are protected agast heat. They are suitable for operation environments with extremely high temperatures. 9. Fishg dustry versions: There are two types of KUP Fishg Industry Rotators: The T351.1 has 2 layers of sea water resistant pat (RL 5005), galvanised screws and drill holes sealed with silicon. The T has 3 layers of sea water resistant pat (navy grey), galvanised fork carriage and flange, galvanised screws, drill holes sealed with silicon and draage for water

9 ttachments with sideshift function Nearly all KUP attachments are available with either dependent sideshift or valveblock sideshift, as required, at no extra cost. Independent sideshift The advantages of dependent sideshift: Independent sideshift allows the attachment to reach the maximum allowable sideshift stoke (e.g. ± 3.9" (100 mm)) specified by the forklift truck manufacturer without restrictg the the residual capacity. ideshift function is always available, dependent of fork or arm position (clamp or fork positioners). OFTOTP end of stroke slowdown reduces the speed over the last 0.6" (15 mm) and improves stability. MOOTHCROLL lower roller guides provide a smoother lateral movement, to reduce wear and tear and save energy. KUP dependent sideshifters are designed so that the lost load center of the attachment does not crease, and accordgly the residual capacity of the truck is not reduced. alveblock sideshift In addition to the dependent sideshift system, all KUP clamps and fork positioners are available with tegrated or valveblock sideshift function. This version uses the rest stroke of the cylder for the sideshift function. alveblock sideshift is not available when the attachment is completely opened or closed. 10 Hydraulic ystem Workg Pressures and Oil Flow Rates Most of the attachments listed this booklet are operated hydraulically usg fluid from the forklift truck's hydraulic system. The number of hydraulic functions required is listed with each attachment. If an attachment requires more than two hydraulic functions, one of the hydraulic circuits can be split by usg a solenoid valve. In these cases, the solenoid valve is a part of the attachment. The assembly kit necessary for the actuation of the solenoid valve must be ordered separately. When mountg the attachment on a truck with standard or duplex mast, the assembly kits listed on page 143 are the most suitable. If mountg on a truck with triplex mast, an electric sprg cable drum as offered on page 144 should be used. If the truck is equipped with a joystick, please consult Lift-Tek to fd the right assembly kit. To ensure correct operation of the solenoid valve, please provide Lift-Tek with the exact voltage specifications of the forklift truck. In order to ensure the proper function of the KUP attachment we recommend that you take note of the recommended oil flow rates and hydraulic pressures for the different attachment groups. 11 FORK CRRIGE and IDEHIFTER KUP Fork Carriages KUP Fork Carriages can be used to extend the existg fork carriage of the forklift truck and to quickly change between attachments and/or forks. They can also be used as adapter carriages to change the connection class. KUP ideshifters ideshifters are the most common attachments encountered on forklift trucks. Dependg on the capacity of the truck ideshifters allow lateral shift of the load from ±3.9 to ±6.3. This saves time and creases maneuverability. Contaer ideshifters have even larger lateral sideshift strokes. KUP has two different versions of ideshifters their product range - a hang-on version and an tegral version. KUP ideshifters can be combed with other KUP attachments to suit a wide variety of applications. 31 Multi ideshifters ideshifters Multi sideshifters can handle two to five pallets. KUP Multi ideshifters are equipped with one ma sideshifter, which allows the entire load to be shifted together. Each carriage can be moved separately, usg solenoid valves, or they can be moved simultaneously, usg flow dividers. Multi ideshifters should not be used to carry fewer pallets than the sideshifter can support (for example, a triple sideshifter should not be used to carry one or two pallets). If these loads are off center or unbalanced, they might damage the fork carriage or mast. Use multi pallet handlers for applications where the number of pallets might vary. 76 Clamps Clamps s part of the Kaup modular build system, all clamps can be combed with rotators (models T451-8) and/or with additional sideshift function (models T491-8). They come standard with dependent sideshift (see page 7). ll clamps feature liftg lugs that also serve as fixg pots for load backrests. Clamps are always fitted with a manometer gauge and clamp valve. This valve corporates an adjustable pressure relief valve for the clampg function and a preset pressure reducer to prevent damage to the arms when the clamps are opened, which could occur if the pressure the cylder is too high. They can be attached to the top mountg rgs that come standard on the clamp body. The fasteng and spacer elements are serted through the mountg rg and the backrest is secured with the two M16 bolts provided.
