48 High Frequency What is High Frequency? In electrical engeerg, high frequency refers to any frequencies above 10 khz. In the case of power tools, however, this term generally refers to all power frequencies that are higher than standard power frequencies (50/60 Hz). A frequency of 300 Hz is the most popular for high cycle tools today. To operate these tools, special generators are needed to brg the power to the elevated frequency from 440 volt 3 phase (575 volt 3 phase Canada) to 200 volt 300 Hz. The ball bearg matenance terval is approximated at 20,000 operational hours. The frequency transformers are easy to set up. The place of stallation must only have unimpeded air supply and draw (maximum temperature +40 C).
