TCD/SB 025 Wng tps durng ground transportaton. nsdecton. ~ The revew of the complance of the Tger Cub 440 Roman Modfed wth the arworthness requrements of BCAR Secton S has ndcated a number of areas where partcular attenton must be gven by each BMAA nspector responsble for the nspecton of the Tger Cub 440 Roman Modfed, and these areas are lsted below: (1) nspecton s requred to establsh that each or the modfcatons lsted above has been carred out to an arworthy standard and that the Servce Bulletns called up have been compled wth.' (2) The bond between the fuselage longerons and the roam sdes and tops s to be checked by ensurng that there s no wrnklng or the fabrc adjacent to these bonds when loads are appled at the tal. nternal nspecton must also be made..
9 Each hand fnshed component s to be checked for corroson and adequate protecton, n addton to normal overall nspecton for corroson. A check s to be made to ensure that the aleron spar has been modfed n accordance wth MBA Mantenance Manual, page 4-4. The stablator s to be examned for satsfactory performance of the bond between ts spar and the foam. Creasng of the surface fabrc n the vcnty of the spar run, on the upper or lower surfaces, whlst loads are appled to the stablator, must not be accepted.. n vew of the ndvdual nature of kt constructon, each control surface stop must be examned for satsfactory performance, together wth ensurng control surface range of movement s wthn lmts. Cables must be examned fdr any sgns of w~ar or frayng around pulleys. Ensure satsfactory guardng of cables at all pulleys, partcularly upper rudder pulleys. Ensure that, where turnbuckles are ftted n the control system, they do not bnd aganst any surface. Ensure throttle control provdes full travel of the throttle sldes. ( '" Ensure throttle and choke controls are clearly dstngushable and arrange for easy operaton wthout foulng. Ensure satsfactory electrcal bondng between engne and arframe. Ensure compatblty of engne + reducton + propeller and satsfactory performance. Ensure that the four exhaust sprngs are wred so that they wll be prevented from fallng away from the arcraft n the event of breakage. Ensure that the layout of the fuel lnes does not gve rse to potental vapour locks. Ensure that the nternal fuselage, partcularly n the vcnty of the fuel tank, s not sufferng fro~ damage, due to fuel seepage or spllage. Ensure that fuel tank s ether readly removable or provded wth means of dranage. Ensure that the requred nstrumentaton s ftted: Arspeed ndcator, Altmeter, Slp ndcator Cylnder Head Temperature Gauge.
