4 Activity 3 Part A: Fllw these instructins fr bld typing carefully lest yur patient die frm yur carelessness. 1. There are fur statins ne fr each f the patients: Mr Smith, Mr Jnes and Mr Green and Mrs Brwn. At each statin: 2. Obtain a clean three well bld plate. 3. Drp three t fur drps f the simulated bld int each f the A, B and Rh wells. 4. Place 3-4 drps f the simulated anti-a serum int the A well. Place 3-4 drps f the simulated anti-b serum int the B well. Place 3-4 drps f the simulated anti-rh serum int the Rh well. 5. Obtain three tthpicks, ne fr each well. Stir each well with a separate clean tthpick fr 30 secnds. T avid splattering the simulated bld, d nt press t hard n the typing tray. 6. Observe each slide and recrd yur bservatin in the table belw. T cnfirm agglutinatin try reading reading text thrugh the mixed sample. If yu cannt read the text, assume yu have a psitive agglutinatin reactin. 7. Rinse yur slide in the main sink and dry with a paper twel and return it t the statin. Part B: Recrd yur lab test results here t determine yur patient s bld types. Place a + t indicate agglutinatin and - t indicate n visible reactin.
