6 Cold formed Omega profile Cold rolled or cold-formed sheet piling can be produced to order for our customers. The dimensions, weight and technical specifications of this sheet piling exactly match the values laid down in the building specifications. Advantages: Larger effective width = fewer interlock seals Less material = lower weight per m² Suitable for smaller series Short delivery times Alternative to tropical hardwood Available in thicknesses up to 10 mm and lengths up to 18 meters. Below shows you the comparison between hot rolled sheet piles and our IBO cold-formed sheet piles in different thicknesses. Our Omega Profiles are developed by certified engineers whereby your requirements are the basis. We will develop for you the most advantageous profile with the required section modulus. Your requirements regarding steel grade, thickness, width, height will all be considered in the design. On the next page, you will find some possible Omega Profiles. 12 Steel tubes InfraSteel supplies steel tubes according to DIN EN or API. On request, we can deliver all grades from stock or from production including CE-marking. We deliver quickly and according to your requirements, and with or without certificates (tubes are supplied with a 3.1 certificate or a material analysis 2.1 certificate). We can also provide lesser quality or used tubes. InfraSteel can do Ultrasonic examination of welds upon request. 14 Service Interlock Sealing Pile Lock Pile Lock is the best option when the sealing needs to be completely waterproof. This product expands up to 20 times its original volume when it encounters water, enabling a waterproof solution. Intra SwellSeal Where soil is contaminated, an interlock seal based on polyurethane (PU) will often be the best solution. Intra SwellSeal expands up to 200% of its original volume when it encounters water. Intra SwellSeal can be applied to the sheet piling interlock structure on site. Pertex bituminous filling: This type of interlock sealing is very interesting from an economic point of view and significantly reduces leaking. 15 Anchoring InfraSteel offers several solutions for anchoring retaining walls. The right solution depends on the specifics of your project. Factors to consider here are the length and depth of the sheet pile wall, the soil situation, and whether the sheet pile wall is a temporary or permanent structure. Self-drilling anchors This is a hollow, thick-walled, central drilling rod with a drill bit at the top. The hollow rod and the drill bit allow flushing or simultaneous drilling and grouting. The system is modular, meaning that the most appropriate configuration can be put together to suit on-site circumstances and the forces that apply. Because of the coarse external trapezium shape thread the rod can be shortened or extended if necessary, to create the desired length. The trapezium shape thread also ensures optimum adhesion between the cement grout and the self-drilling anchor. All parts of the system can be supplied with or without surface treatment. GTB anchors These anchors are high-quality massive steel bars, which feature a coarse, rolled thread on the outside to ensure optimum adhesion between the cement grout and anchor. Installing the GTB bar anchor is done by firstly installing a casing (micro - pile) in the ground. After the casing is brought in position the massive bar finds its place in the casing. While pulling back the casing, grout cement is added to create a strong and solid anchor. Screw injection piles The base of the pipe pile is a drill head which is driven into the soil by the drill motor until the required depth has been reached. Grout mortar is injected at the bottom through the drill head while drilling. This grout mortar mixes with the soil, resulting in a pile base with a minimum diameter equal to the screw blade. A major advantage of this pile system is that there is no soil stress relief and that surrounding structures do not encounter vibrations. Folding anchors Folding anchors are quick and easy to install. The anchor is first driven into the ground, at any angle required, using a vibro hammer. It is then tilted using a removable pull rod. When it is in this position (i.e. at a right angle), the folding anchor can immediately be subjected to a load. Our folding anchors are CE-certified. Section interlocks The interlocks shall have adequate free play so that the piles can be fitted into each other and they must engage in such a manner that the in-service forces can be transmitted. The minimum interlock overlap on U and Z piles must not be less than 4 mm and on straight-web sections not less than 7 mm. *) Normally the positive tolerance shall be at the discretion of the manufacturer. At the time of the enquiry and order, a limitation on the positive tolerance can be agreed. In this case, the following values shiuld be chosen: + 0,5 mm for s < 8,5 mm and + 6 % for > 8,5 mm.
