3 Important information Intended use Tilt-and-slide-fittings are intended for use only in stationary buildings. They are used for the horizontal opening and closing of windows and window doors. The tilt-and-slide elements must be installed perpendicularly, and under no circumstances may they be in a skewed position. Prerequisite These installation instructions and the installation of the fittings demand specialist knowledge corresponding to successfully completed training in at least one of the following trades: construction carpenter, construction metal worker, window and glass facade installer. pplications mentioned on page 2 of these mounting instructions apply to HUTU fitting system. Quoted tightening speeds and torques are binding. When installing the fittings, use screws delivered with the package. Under all circumstances comply with the handling guidelines of the profile manufacturer. Fittings can be used for aluminium profiles, only. Guide track and bottom track must not be varnished. Tilt-and-slide-elements may be surface-treated only before the installation of the fitting parts. Subsequent surface treatment may have a negative effect on the operability of the fitting parts. In this case, all guarantee claims against the fitting manufacturer are nullified. The steel component parts described in these installation instructions have been passivated and sealed as per IN EN 1229 using a colourless process. They must not be used in environments with aggressive and corrosive air components. Keep the runner rail and all rebates free of deposits and contamination, in order to avoid damage to the fitting and to ensure optimum functioning. In particular, protect the fitting from cement or plaster residues. o not use acid-curing sealants, as these can result in corrosion of the fitting parts. - Use acid- and solvent-free oils and greases, only. void directly exposing the fitting to moisture, and prevent acid-containing cleaning agents from coming into contact with the fitting. Take appropriate precautions to prevent the element from being overstrained by forced closing in special environments such as hotels, schools, kindergartens, etc. The fitting manufacturer shall not be liable for any malfunction of or damage to the fittings as well as the windows or French doors fitted, if the malfunctions of the tilt-and-slide-hardware can be traced back to the use of bought-in fittings, insufficient invitation to tender, non-observation of the rebating instructions or application diagrams. The installing party shall be responsible for the adherence to the functional dimensions given in these mounting instructions and workshop drawing as well as for a perfect installation of the fittings and safe attachment of all components. 7 Mounting of bogies, parallel alignment of bogies Mounting of bogies please refer to Information for TWIN-bogies, too For bogies 1 and 2, keep a lateral distance of 10 mm to sash edges and ensure flush positioning with bottom edge (.1). Tighten with four screws 4.8 x 50 each at sash (.2). Tighten cover fillet support(s) 4 with two screws 4.8 x 50 each at the designated position(s). For FG 100 kg: fix 2 riveting nuts Ø 7 mm /H in the designated holes. Tighten support arms with two screws M5 x 25 %Od each (.1/.2). ut connecting rod $Ö to size according to marks on bogies (.1/.2). 9 Installation of central locking Installation of central locking onnect the concerning parts of the central locking step-by-step to each other and slide them into the profile groove of sash. Put the drive pin G 8 through the handle cutout and connect with middle part &Ö (2x M5 x 8). heck equal alignment of stays in release position (handle turned up): equal dimension x at both stays. 10 Mounting of handle G, strikers, tilt lock bearings, end stop for anti-mishandling device, guide Mounting of handle G Mount handle 20 G 6/7, turn by approx. 60 relative to shut position and tighten with screws 4.8 x 50 (4x) and M5 x 25 with square nut (each 2x; open by boring Ø 5 mm at handle housing). 11 Mounting of guide track/ bottom track to frame and stay connecting profile to sash Mounting guide track to frame Total length of guide track G: distance between outer edges of sliding sash and fixed sash minus 8 mm. Tighten guide track with screws.9 x 45 as shown. Shorten cover profile H according to size of guide track and clip on guide track. Insert 2 sliders F for stays laterally into guide track (additional slider in case of mounting of a spring stay). Safety pushers must be moved out laterally (condition upon delivery). Mounting bottom track to frame E Shorten bottom track J (at non-handle side) until it is flush with outer corners of sliding sash and fixed sash. F Fix bottom track at frame at a distance of 5 mm from bottom edge of bottom track to bottom edges of sashes. Use screws.9 x 45 (fig. 1). In case of FG > 160 kg, visible deformation or unusual (well audible) noise in the area of bottom track, provide continuous lining (on site) at bottom track for load transfer (fig. 2). Mounting stay connecting profile to sash G Length of stay connecting profile K: sash width minus 8 mm (G.1). Fix centered to sash with.9 x 9.5 (G.2). H If spring stay &L is required: remove transportation clip (H.1). Pay attention to correct positioning of spring stay at the pin to enable spring tensioning (H.2). push spring stay &L into stay connecting profile (H.). The cam has to be positioned centered to the stay connecting profile (H.4). Tighten safety screw (, Nm - H.5). 12 Hanging and removing sash Installing sash onto guide track ring handle in slide position (.1). Lift sash slightly in oblique position and place it together with bogie rollers on front edge of bottom track J (.2). heck position of rolls by sliding the sash and adjust, if necessary. onnecting sash with guide track Insert stay cams from below into central slider openings until they engage in sliders (audible click!) (1). orrectly fixed position of screwable cams in sliders (2). In case of correct installation, the lateral safety pushers must have locked flush with edges of slider housings. Warning: If the stay cams are not engaged safely in sliders, the sash is not protected against falling out. Severe injuries could be the consequence. It is imperative to check the proper engagement by pulling and pushing down the stay arms. in case of spring stay J.2 ogie J Important information on sash removal Open sash. ring bogie safety device in unlocked position (refer to page 14 - ogie safety device, position ). 13 +6 Installation of guide block, horizontal sash alignment Installation of guide block Set guide block $K on handle side at a distance of approx. 121 mm from outer edge of bottom track. Tighten it slightly with a screw (, < 1 Nm). Put sash in tilt position and check fittings cavity on both sides ( mm). Reset guide block, if necessary. 1. Tighten upper screw firmly at guide block (,... 4 Nm). 2. Then tighten bottom screw (, Nm). $K $K ~121 < 1 Nm $K Nm 2. max Nm Horizontal sash alignment please refer to Information for TWIN-bogies, too heck fittings cavity top and bottom on both sides (not shown). Remove anti-twist protections. Lift bogies (Torx 40) by means of adjusting screws in order to align sash. The adjusting screws are allowed to be turned out max. 11 mm. ttention: If the adjusting screws are turned out more than 11 mm, the bogies will be destroyed. Put anti-twist protections on adjusting screws; at first, correct orientation of adjusting screws, if necessary.
