Law Minister Farooq Naek sbmitted the draft letter to a five-jdge bench headed by Jstice Asif Saeed Khosa, which approved the docment after examining it behind closed doors. The draft letter -- the third presented by the government before the cort which had objected to the contents of the previos two -- made it clear that any proceedings in Switzerland wold be conditional to the immnity provided to the President by the Constittion and Pakistani and international laws. Referring to a letter written to Swiss athorities in 2007 by the then Attorney General Malik Qayym for closing the cases against Zardari, the latest draft said that docment shold be considered as retracted and "never written". Restoration of legal assistance between the two contries was also referred to in the draft.
