3 Column 3 Values in family and social life Somesh Chandra Kakar Family life is under severe stress today. Distortions in work-life balance is causing many adverse effects on family life, leading to disintegration and neglect of children. This will ultimately effect the future of the society at large and the country itself with poorer citizenry. Similarly, social evils are on the rise, racing towards a saturation point. Cleansing is overdue. We have moved away from the laid down values for long. Unless corrected, it will break. People will start taking law into their own hand. It has already started. Dimapur incident, taking away a rape accused, from jail and lynching him is only a beginning. Decline of the social values and system failure to check crimes, punish the guilty fast is creating tensions, which is now bursting at seams. It is time to sit up and take notice. The correction is overdue. Most of the evils appearing in the horizon, can be traced back to the loss of values in family life and society. Materialism has overtaken us. Money has replaced everything. Our yardstick for everything we do is what is in it for me. Nothing else matters. Until we are struck with a calamity. We then wake up and start introspection. But it is too late. The damage is done. Do we all need to be hit by misfortunes to initiate us into action. Can we not learn from the incident in others lives. Look across the world. Syria, Ukraine, Chechenya, Iraq, Afghanistan and others. Inaction has led to the crises there, which are difficult to control now. No signs of abating. They lie dormant for some-time and erupt again. Because troubles lie inherently. Do we wait for such situations to develop or take action while still we can. Villages have moved to the cities, in a false hope of better lives. They have not only congested the urban areas, making lives more difficult for the residents there, but in the process, the rural migrants have lost values they cherished and which helped them live peacefully. Peace which has become a rare commodity, in business life, in family life and in the society where tensions build-up in volcanic proportions. Take businesses. The unhealthy competition makes us unethical. In order to survive and forge ahead, we resort to wrong moves. We adulterate foods. Our businesses survive, but at the cost of the health of the individuals that make a society. We no longer get the kind of purity in eatables like ghee, milk etc. Even water is contaminated. Not only Airtel is credited with pioneering the business strategy Honey Sehgal Bharti Airtel Limited is an Indian global telecommunications services company based in New Delhi, India. It operates in 18 countries across South Asia, Africa, and the Channel Islands. Airtel provides GSM, 3G and 4G LTE mobile services, fixed line broadband and voice services depending upon the country of operation. It is the largest mobile network operator in India and the third largest in the world with 325 million subscribers. Airtel was named India's second most valuable brand in the first ever Brandz ranking by Millward Brown and WPP plc. Airtel is credited with pioneering the business strategy of outsourcing all of its business operations except marketing, sales and finance and building the 'minutes factory' model of low cost and high volumes. The strategy has since been adopted by several operators. Airtel's equipment is provided and maintained by Ericsson and Nokia Solutions and Networks whereas IT support is provided by IBM. The transmission towers are maintained by subsidiaries and joint venture companies of Bharti including Bharti Infratel and Indus Towers in India.[11] Ericsson agreed for the first time to be paid by the minute for installation and maintenance of their equipment rather than being paid up front, which allowed Airtel to provide low call rates of 1 (1.5 US)/minute. Mr.Chand has been selected best SRM (Store Relationship Manager) 3 times in his 2 years of experience. He is very much talented, helpful and very much hardworking. He is a great team team who provides direction, instructions and guidance to a group of individuals, who can also be known as a team, for the purpose of achieving a certain goal. An effective leader will know her team members strengths, weaknesses and motivations. Currently Naveen is working in a Bharti Airtel as a Manager and handling 2 Airtel Stores with his full hardwork. Role Of A Manager Develop a strategy the team will use to reach its goal Provide any training that team members need Communicate clear instructions to team members Listen to team members' feedback Monitor team members' participation to ensure the training they providing is being put into use, and also to see if any additional training is needed. that we have to pay for it, and now pay through the nose, without being sure of its being safe for drinking. Is this mad race we are into, worth it. At the end of it all what matters is, how well we have lived our lives, how happy we have been and what have we contributed to the society and the family we belong to. The wealth we accumulate here, does not go with us. We are mortals and will surely die one day. Death, like taxes is certain. We do not take our wealth away, with us. It remains here. Then why accumulate and sacrifice the flavours of life. Earn as much as you need for leading a reasonably good life. Dreams are good. Being ambitious is good. But only so long they do not drive you to criminality, unethical practices, undue stress. We urgently need to bring moderation into our lives. Do you have diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure? Lucky if you do not have. But most of us suffer from these common ailments. These are some of the symptoms of going against the nature, against the ethics, distorted family norms, social distensions. Corporate life tries to squeeze out every minute of our life for it s own good. We deprive the family of our minimum time for their upkeep and welfare. We neglect our own healthcare, succumbing eventually to diseases mentioned earlier, to mental stress, making it difficult to take considered cool-headed decisions. Take a cue from western, more developed societies. Higher divorce rates. Family break-ups. Juvenile crimes. Depression, psychosomatic illnesses. What they face today, we will encounter tomorrow. There is a time lag, both in following unhealthy family practices and their ill effects. We have the advantage of seeing beforehand, what is coming, so we can act. We can prevent bad things to happen. Only if we decide, in time. kakarsomeshchandra@gmail.com Politicians and Sex Scandals Part 2 In my previous Editorial on the issue of Politicians and Sex Scandals Part 1, I wrote about some infamous sex scandals which had given immense exposure by media. In my today s article, I want to put some of the lesser known scandals by the politicians. Raghavjee, a veteran of Madhya Pradesh politics, has been accused of having unnatural sex with his servant. A CD showing the then finance minister of Shivraj Singh Chouhan s Madhya Pradesh government in compromising position with a man has done irreparable damage to the party. Raghavjee had to resign and the matter is now subjudice. According to Raghavjee, the man who has accused him of sexual exploitation worked part-time for him, occasionally massaged the minister s arms and legs, and had quit a month ago. However his 29-year old domestic help had a different story to tell. He is in several extra-marital affairs with the wives of those who work at his official residence. I want to tell that he has done to other employees what he had been doing to me, the 29-year old victim said while addressing the media at leader of opposition Ajay Singh s residence. In 1987, Kerala was rocked by a sex scandal known as ice-cream sex parlour scandal. The sex scandal came to light after a Kozikode based NGO filed a complaint alleging that an ice cream parlour was being run as a brothel and a number of girls were being sexually exploited there by powerful sections of the society including politicians, judicial officers and other VIPs. P K Kunhalikutty, a minister belonging to IUML leader, came under scanner in this case and had to resign that time. The case resurfaced in 2011, when a relative of Kunhalikutty alleged that he had helped him in wriggling out of the case using illegal means including bribing the witnesses.

4 4 Delhi/ NCR/ National Dr. Meenu Walia, first DNB Medical Oncologist of India Speaks on Targeted Therapy cnp bureau Delhi: Targeted therapy which is different from traditional chemotherapy is a cancer treatment that uses drugs. The drugs known as targeted therapy help stop cancer from growing and spreading. They work by targeting specific genes or proteins. The genes and proteins are found in cancer cells or in cells related to cancer growth, like blood vessel cells. The drugs that are used are like Avastin, Herceptin and Erbitux. These drugs are used in treatments that include surgery and radio therapy apart from treating cancerous cells. These therapies include hormone therapy, signal transduction inhibitors, gene expression modulators, apoptosis inducer, angiogenesis inhibitors, and immunotherapy and toxin delivery inhibitor. Targeted therapy blocks the growth of cancer cells by interfering with specifictargeted molecules needed for carcinogenesis and tumour growth, rather than by simply interfering with all rapidly dividing. 6 6 18 dead, 52 wounded in blast at court; 4 suicide bombers killed in Peshawar At least 18 people were killed and more than 52 wounded after a suicide bomber attacked a court in the Pakistani city of Mardan, police said, the latest assault targeting Pakistan s legal community. The bomber shot his way through the main gate leading to the district court, before throwing a hand grenade and detonating his suicide vest among the morning crowds, senior police official Ejaz Khan said. Rescuers were picking their way through scattered human remains and bloodstained office equipment and files to collect survivors, witnesses said. Amir Hussain, president of the Mardan Bar Association, said he was in a room nearby when the bomb detonated. There was dust everywhere, and people were crying loud with pain, he said. His suit drenched in blood, he added: I 7.1 quake in New Zealand generates mild tsunami, no damage A powerful 7.1 magnitude earthquake that hit the east coast of New Zealand s North Island on Friday generated a mild tsunami but caused no damage, authorities said. A tsunami warning had been issued following the severe earthquake but was cancelled shortly after, EFE news reported. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre said the quake generated waves of about 21 cm for about 16 minutes and recommended to maintain caution in coastal areas. The quake, one of the strongest to strike New Zealand, occurred at 4.37 p.m. 5 killed in Peshawar Christian colony attack At least one civilian and four suicide bombers were killed after terrorists attacked Peshawar s Christian Colony, Pakistani security sources said. Director General Inter- Services Public Relations started picking up the wounded and putting them in cars to take them to hospital. I did not know if the people I was rescuing were dead or alive. Lawyers were being targeted because they are an important part of democracy, and these terrorists are opposed to democracy, he said. Our morale is not dented. It is still high, he added. Mardan Rescue spokesman Bilal Ahmad Faizi said 18 people had been killed and 54 injured in the blast. Police official Faisal Shehzad, said the dead included police and lawyers. Officials said the bomber had up to eight kilogrammes of explosives packed into his vest. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack, which comes three weeks after a massive suicide blast killed scores of lawyers in the southwestern Pakistani city of Quetta, in Balochistan. Friday s blast came as security forces fended off four suicide bombers who were trying to attack a Christian colony in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provincial capital of Peshawar, 60 kilometres (37 miles) to the west of Mardan. Soldiers backed by army helicopters exchanged gunfire with terrorists in suicide vests who had tried to attack the colony near Warsak Dam, just north of Peshawar, the army said. Clinton leads Trump by 7 Pts in One Poll, trails in another She was ahead in the Northeast by 58 per cent to 34 per cent and in the West 52 per cent to 37 per cent, the polls said. However, in the right-leaning Rasmussen polls, Clinton for the first time is seen trailing Trump, albeit by just one percentage point. Trump has 40 per cent support to Clinton s 39 per cent, Rasmussen said. As per RealClearPolitics.com, which keeps tracks of all major national polls, Clinton is leading Trump by 4.9 percentage points in the average of all major polls.the 2016 US presidential elections will be held on November 8. Trump and Clinton are the two major candidates. Asim Bajwa confirmed all four suicide bombers were killed and a clearance operation is underway, DawnNews online reported. Firing reportedly began around 6 a.m., when the terrorists attacked the colony, the sources told DawnNews. The gunmen were wearing suicide jackets. Two of the attackers detonated their suicide jackets, and two others were killed by security forces, the sources added. International Russia, US could reach Syria cooperation deal soon: Putin Russian President Vladimir Putin said in an interview aired Friday that Moscow and Washington could reach a cooperation deal on Syria soon. In my opinion we re gradually heading in the right direction and I don t exclude that we ll be able to agree on something in the near future and present our agreements to the international community, Putin said in an interview. Russian and American officials are holding negotiations in Geneva aimed at reestablishing a ceasefire in Syria and cooperating militarily against the Islamic State and other jihadist groups in the country. The talks are very difficult, Putin said. One of the key problems is that we insist, and our American partners do not object to this, that the so-called healthy part of the opposition should be separated from the radical groups and terrorist organisations such as Jabhat Al-Nusra. Russian President Vladimir Putin said Moscow was keen to resolve a territorial dispute with Japan ahead of talks on September 2 with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, although a solution appears far off. Tokyo-Moscow relations are hamstrung by a row dating back to the end of World War II when Soviet troops seized the southernmost islands in the Pacific Kuril chain, known as the Northern Territories in Japan. We are not talking about some kind of exchange or some kind of sale, Putin said. Pakistan expediting process to bring back Baloch separatist leader Bugti through Interpol Pakistani authorities have decided to speed up the process to bring back Baloch separatist leader and Nawaz Akbar Khan Bugti s grandson Brahamdagh Bugti, who is currently living in self-exile in Switzerland. Brahamdagh s grandfather Akbar Bugti was killed in an Army operation in Balochistan in 2006, which angered several young Balochs who took up arms. Balochistan Police Department has contacted the interior ministry for acquiring the required identification documents of Brahamdagh in order to complete the Red Notice application requirements for Interpol, The Express Tribune reported. After the completion of the required paperwork, Pakistan would formally contact Interpol for issuing a Red Notice against Brahamdagh for his extradition to Pakistan. Interpol notices are international requests of cooperation or alerts allowing police in member countries to share critical crime-related information. In the case of Red Notices, the suspects are wanted by national jurisdictions for prosecution or to serve a sentence. Interpol assists the national police in identifying and locating these wanted people for lawful action. According to preliminary identification details submitted by the Balochistan police, the 33-year-old chief of the banned Baloch Republican Party is known in his close circles as Sahib.

SCRAMJET: Another Upward Stride by ISRO Delhi: Indian Space Research Organisation, ISRO successfully tested two indigenously developed scramjet engines on the 28th August. The test of the engines was conducted on board a Rohini sounding rocket, also called Advanced Technology Vehicle, ATV which was launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh. The successful technology demonstration of scramjet engines in flight is a modest yet important milestone in ISRO s endeavour to design and develop such engines. With this, India has now joined the elite club of nations that have designed, developed and successfully tested scramjet engines. The United States first successfully tested scramjet engines in July It was followed by Russia, European Agency, Japan and then China. Significantly, the Indian space agency achieved this feat in its maiden attempt. The 3277 kg ATV which carried the scramjet engines touched down in the Bay of Bengal approximately 320 km from Sriharikota after a flight of 300 seconds. ISRO later informed that when the ATV reached a height of 11 km, the on board scramjet engines started breathing air directly from the atmosphere. ISRO s main concern was igniting the engines in the air and then sustaining the flame at supersonic speed. However both the engines on board the ATV ran for six seconds and they enabled the rocket to fly at Mach 6 speed which is at about 7200 km per hour. Prime Minister, Narendra Modi in his congratulatory message said that the successful testing of scramjet rocket engines is a testimony to the hard work and excellence of Indian scientists. What is a scramjet engine? A scramjet engine means a supersonic combusting ramjet engine. Both scramjet and ramjet engines use the space craft s forward motion to compress incoming air without an axial compressor. Since scramjets cannot produce thrust at zero airspeed, they cannot move a space craft from a standstill. A scramjet-powered vehicle, therefore, requires an assisted take off by a rocket to accelerate it to a speed where it begins to produce thrust. It has been found that scramjet engines work most efficiently at supersonic speeds between Mach 3 and Mach 6. A ramjet engine on the other hand can work at subsonic speed. Both ramjet and scramjet engines use atmospheric oxygen as oxidizer. While exit flow from the inlet of a ramjet engine is subsonic that from a scramjet engine is supersonic. The word Mach comes from Ernst Mach, a brilliant 19th century scientist whose most famous contribution was in the area of the speed of sound. Mach 1 means the speed of sound that is 1195 km/hr in air. A rocket flying at Mach 1 speed means it is going at the speed of sound in a particular medium say air. Mach 2 means twice the speed of sound. Banking sector in India should focus on supporting Growth Delhi: Banks in India need to give top Priority to support the growth possibilities in the country. Small newspapers will come forward to protest no other newspapers New Delhi: Since the beginning of time, art has taken various shades. To some, it should look like things around us, while others use art to see with the mind what one cannot see physically with eyes. Evidently for renowned Delhibased architect and artist Rohit Raj Mehndiratta, art is an exploration into unknown areas which allow him to express himself with unfettered freedom. The abstract artist looks beyond the tangible, to extract the infinite out of the finite, though others may see these as weird shapes smeared together. Expectedly, his first solo art exhibition in the capital was titled (Un) Fettered. It opened at the Alliance Française de Delhi on the evening of 26 August. Eminent Guest Classical Vocalist and Composer Shano Khurana was present at the opening. In the words of Rohit Raj: I am trying to capture the inner real it has no spatial limit or concept of time. It is constantly shifting from moment to moment that at the same time urges the consciousness to find stability in the outside, in the 'other' space. I am playing with this dichotomy in my art: marking moments and their spiritual intensity. (Un) Fettered represents the artist s desire to give form to these inner-landscapes, their co-existence and conflict with the external world and to critique the idea of the timelessness of one s inner reality. Raj plays with the concept of space inside oneself, its constant state of motion as it moves, moulds, fuses and contorts. He seeks to (un) fetter this space by representing moments of time. By doing this, he brings the spiritual and emotional, both conflating together, into the artistic realm, to be experienced by the viewer, in their moment of time. Thus, the artist urges consciousness to find stability in the outside - or the 'other' space through the inner realm. By playing with this dichotomy, through various artistic means, he captures the spatial intensity of moments - otherwise confined to the inner realm. The mediums chosen vary from pen-ink, photomontages to acrylic on canvas. The process involves emotive moments that translate into comes to support. He said we need to conduct camps like Eye camp, dental check up,for journalist and conduct seminars in college for journalism students. The large response from readers to online appeals show the credibility of NAI. You can dream, but unless you work hard and try you cannot succeed. Commenting on the present-day media, he said, "In today's world media has become most powerful. In many instances it can be biased too. They make claims that they are fair to all political parties and communities, but only about 10 percent of the media are so. We are not stupid - we can make out when a media is biased. Some of them repeatedly project unwanted news. Whereas, NAI has become the voice of the voiceless specially for the weaker sections. I thank Vasudev Rao Kashyap for giving the new premises for our NAI South Zone office and also individually thank all the state presidents and members of NAI and our well-wishers especially those who had come from other state specially for the programme, Vasudev Rao Kashyap in his address said, "It is a great honour and privilege to work with NAI and have its corporate office in heart city of Bengaluru. "We say media is not projecting the kind of stories that it should. We have seen distorting and sensationalization of news. NAI will change that and become a proactive media and project the good happening around the globe. It is my privilege to witness this great morning to have the General Secreatery coming all the way from Delhi to inaugurate the office. Sridhar Murthy, (Executive Secretary) proposed the vote of thanks. Abstract art helps put the unfettered reality of thoughts on canvas intense sketching or pen and ink work. His work also revolves around photographing aspects of the physical realm that evokes the inside. Rohit Raj Mehndiratta graduated from the School of Architecture CEPT, Ahmedabad and pursued a postgraduate degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he received the ANN M BEHA Award in 2001 and Merit Recognition Awards in and He has also received the J N TATA Endowment Scholarship 2000, American Alumni Award 2000, and Piroj Shah Godrej Scholarship His professional work experience includes an initial training in India from Arcop Associates and Sachdev Eggleston Associates in Delhi and BV Doshi in Ahmedabad. His international exposure started with CA Ventin Associates, Toronto, Canada and Frei Otto s Institute for Light Weight Structure in Stuttgart, Germany. He went on to work for five years in New York City with Davis Brody Bond (DBB) and Elizabeth Kennedy Landscape Architects (EKLA). Kissing on screen extremely scary: Kriti Kharbanda Mumbai: Newbie Kriti Kharbanda, who is making her Bollywood debut with horror film Raaz Reboot, says kissing on-screen was a tough task for her. Kriti has worked extensively in down South, but had inhibitions while filming the intimate scenes. My first kiss was with Emraan Hashmi and I was extremely scared. I was saying to myself I don t know how am I going to do this. It freaked me out and how. I was very uncomfortable about it because I was doing it with a stranger which became very difficult for me, Kriti said in an interview. Directed by Vikram, Bhatt, Raaz Reboot is the fourth film in the horror film franchise Raaz. The 27-year-old actress made her acting debut with the Telugu film Boni in 2009 before bagging her breakthrough role with romantic comedy Googly. Kriti says when Raaz Reboot was offered to her, she was a bit apprehensive as the character in the film was in contrast to the roles she had done in the past. Mumbai: Yet nothing has tempted me to make a return on big screen. I don t know.. I think everybody has a different definition of comeback. I don t think I went anywhere. I am very much in public eye with all the phases I ve been, she said at a product launch. When we talk about television, I did it just after Sarfarosh and Hum Saath Saath Hain while nobody was doing television. So for me, who did what or anyone else is doing it or not, is not at all important. I ve always done what I felt like doing, she Review: Akira : Ace performances with a strong story Film: Akira Director: A.R. Murugadoss Cast: Sonakshi Sinha, Anurag Kashyap, Konkona Sen Sharma, Amit Sadh, Nandu Madhav, Mukesh Hariawala Rating: 3 Stars (3 / 5) A crime based action drama, Akira, meaning graceful strength in Sanskrit, is the story of a strong girl who fights against all odds to prove her innocence. A simple story, narrated from the Investigating Officer, Rabiya Sultan s point of view, the narrative starts off in Jodhpur. After witnessing a brutal acid attack on one of the girls in her vicinity, young Akira is inducted into martial arts, in order to defend herself by her progressive father who is mute. Soon, in self-defence, she injures a boy and lands up spending 3 years in a remand home. Years later, when she comes to Mumbai, she gets sucked into a case which four corrupt police added. T h e personnel headed by Assistant Commissioner of Police Govind Rane, Senior Inspector Manik Pawar, Inspector Rajeshwar and Constable Baburao, are hell bent upon hushing up. How Akira gets out of their clutches forms the crux of the tale. On the performance front, Sonakshi Sinha in the titular role does offer a fine act. With swift and vigorous movements she gets into the skin of Akira but there is that something that keeps her away from a cent percent performance. Anurag Kashyapas the debauched Assistant Commissioner of Police Govind Rane is impressive and does justice to his character, making one sufficiently abhor his unethical ways. He is aptly supported by Lokesh Vijay Gupte as Inspector Rajeshwar and Nandu Madhav as constable Baburao. Konkona Sen Sharma as the honest investigating officer offers nothing much Entertainment Have different definition of comeback: Sonali Bendre year-old actress said: I come from a very middle class Maharashtrian family where nobody is attached to films. Therefore, as per my family concerned, it was shocking for me to be in the industry and I am glad to be here. I ve never been the follower. When I feel like it, I will be there. by way of histrionics. But her character, Rabiya Sultan, is interestingly crafted. Her gait and demeanour are matter-offactly dealt with, as she is shown investigating the case in an advanced stage of pregnancy. In miniscule roles, Atul Kulkarni, who is naturally charming, makes his presence felt as Akira s father, while Amit Sadh as Sid is wasted. Mishiekka Arora essaying the role of young Akira is cute and charming. Based on an original story by Santha Kumar, the screenplay written by Director A.R. Murugadoss is praiseworthy. The plot is skilfully and intricately woven with well-etched characters and the right amount of action and drama. The director has astutely dealt with the subject with no major deviation. With minimal sound design and constrained camera movement, the film offers a realistic feel.

Suspended Thane jail superintendent seeks pre-arrest bail in molestation case Mumbai: Suspended Thane District Central Jail s superintendent Hiralal Jadhav, accused of molestation by a lady constable, filed an anticipatory bail application before the district Court. Thane Central Jail,Thane West, 02/02/2012 PIC BY - SAMEER MARKANDE Police, on August 31, had registered a case of molestation under section 354 of IPC against Jadhav. Earlier in the afternoon, CM Devendra Fadnavis, who has Home Ministry portfolio, ordered his suspension with the immediate effect. District Judge M M Walimohhmed adjourned the hearing, calling for the prosecution s reply. Advocate Anil Navle, Jadhav s lawyer, argued that the offence was bailable. He also contended that there was no case of sexual harassment, as reported by the media. Jadhav was framed up because he took action against some erring jail staff, he said. The complainant police-woman and Jadhav had had a dispute over non-allotment of a housing quarters to her, the lawyer alleged. Meanwhile, an inquiry by the prisons department under Rajvardhan Sinha, Inspector General (IG) of Police, was initiated and a report was filed on Thursday evening. As evidence, the complainant has turned in WhatsApp messages and audio clips that Jadhav sent her, despite her protestations. Interestingly, Jadhav has previously been suspended for 18 months over similar behaviour. Maharashtra and Goa circle, a senior India Post official said. The decision to release a commemorative stamp on the canonisation for Mother Teresa has been taken by the advisory committee of Philately. September 4 is going to be a special day for India too, the day several other countries are also honouring the great lady, the official said, adding India has been the karmabhoomi of Mother Teresa. The Vatican had earlier chosen Mumbai-based graphic designer Karen Vaswanis logo as the official emblem for the canonisation ceremony. Vaswanis design depicts the classic pose of Mother Teresa looking affectionately at a child whom she holds in her arms.

Reliance 4G LTE redefines voice calling in Delhi - NCR spl. correspondent Delhi/NCR: Reliance Communications, India s fully-integrated telecom service provider, offered its customers freedom from call drops by introducing Next-Gen Reliance 4G LTE app-to-app calling for calls anywhere in the country and worldwide. With the Call Drps Se Chhutkara offer, Reliance 4G LTE customers in Delhi-NCR will experience significantly better app-toapp voice calls with highdefinition (HD) quality and instant connections. RCOM s 4G LTE network in the 850-MHz spectrum band considered worldwide as the most optimal frequency for Next-Gen voice and data services will provide an unparalleled user experience. As part of the Call Drops Se Chhutkara offer, Reliance 4G LTE is offering HD app-to-app calling at an introductory price of just Rs 1. With each new Reliance 4G LTE SIM, customers in Delhi-NCR will get an India-first offer of 300 minutes of app-to-app talking, valid for a period of 30 days for just Rs 1, at 10 minutes per day for 30 days. Business promoter and industry leader Sanjay Dalmia launched Dalmia Medicare spl. correspondent Bengaluru: Stayzilla, India s largest aggregator of homestays, has revamped its mobile application to ensure that hosts and guests are connected 24/7 in locations with poor connectivity. The app has been designed to overcome data connectivity challenges in the farthest corners that often house the most beautiful homestays in the country. Most of these homestays are located in regions where there is no internet connectivity. When a guest books a stay in such remote areas, the booking often gets no response and is lost due to poor connectivity from the home owner or host s end. Says Pankaj Gupta, Chief Product and Technology Officer, Stayzilla, Stayzilla has hosts and homestays spanning the breadth and depth of India. This app release ensures that bookings can be realized end to end irrespective of the underlying data connectivity. We continue to work on exciting technical and product solutions to serve our mission of connecting travelers with hosts on Stayzilla. Stayzilla s offline feature will now connect the home owner with the guest by sending Bhattacharya hopes to begin SBI s mega process by October end Delhi: SBI hopes to kick off merger of its associates as well as Bharatiya Mahila Bank with itself by October-end and try to complete the process by March next, making it the 45th largest lender globally in terms of assets. Early August, the central board of SBI had approved the acquisition of all the five associate banks and Bharatiya Mahila Bank and finalised the swap ratios for the merger. The merger process will start by October-end. The grievance committee will come back to us hopefully by the end of this month, thereafter we have to send it to the Reserve Bank and then to the government for the final approval, which may probably take a month. cnp bureau New Delhi: Mr. Sanjay Dalmia, renowned industrialist and philanthropist launched Dalmia Medicare today at a press conference held at The Imperial Hotel, New Delhi. Announcing its foray into the healthcare industry with 32 diagnostic laboratories, Dalmia Medicare is already the largest chain of Business diagnostic laboratories in NCR offering both pathology and radiology services at the door step. Stayzilla brings Offline connectivity features to its app; Ensures seamless booking experience in remote areas notifications on the app via SMS when the host is in data offline mode. The home owner simply needs to have a phone with cellular connectivity (even without 2G/ 3G) to receive the booking confirmation on his/ her mobile phone. Additionally, Stayzilla also ensures connectivity with the host through automated IVR, wherein he/ she is able to confirm bookings. The cognitive feature of the app predicts whether the host s phone has internet connectivity or not and determines intuitively to reach out either via SMS or app notifications accordingly.
