This damage results in slw r pr split shift perfrmance and Fault Cde 42 n autmated units. Crrective Actin: Design changes t the splitter yke and cylinder have mved the frward and rearward stps frm the internal pistn area t external cntacts. The splitter yke nw cntacts the auxiliary drive gear bearing retainer when in the frward psitin and the extended cylinder husing when in the rearward psitin. The A-8043 yke assembly has a reduced diameter bar t balance the high and lw side pistn surface area n autmated units. Due t main case differences, the RTLO 13-speed and RTLC 9-speed mdels (excluding the RTLO-20913A) use a different yke casting and are n lnger interchangeable with 18-speed mdels. A-8044 Yke Assembly A-8043 Yke Assembly RTLO 13-Speed Yke Main Case Changes: (RTLO 13-speed, RTOC/RTLOC 9-speed) Imprtant: The A-8045 yke assembly cannt be used in 13-speed / Cnvertible 9- speed transmissins with main case part numbers and manufactured befre July 19, An interference issue with a bearing retainer capscrew will prevent full engagement f the splitter clutch in the frward psitin. Frced lube case assemblies manufactured after July 19, 2013 are cmpatible with the ESS system (replaces ) (replaces ) Frced lube case assemblies manufactured befre July 19, 2013 are nt cmpatible with the A-8045 yke (S-2999, S-3000) Nn-frced lube cases will nt be updated with the blt pattern change and are nt cmpatible with the A-8045 yke (S-2083) (S-2258) Page 2 f 5
