1 VEHICLE ACTIVATED SPEED LIMIT SIGNS TRS-VASL VEHICLE ACTIVATED SPEED LIMIT SIGNS Vehicle Activated Speed Limit (VASL) signs measure the speed f appraching vehicles. If the speed f the vehicle is higher than the pre-defined triggering speed, the sign will display a speed limit pictgram. Only vehicles that are driven abve the speed that is cnsidered safe will activate the sign. Vehicles that are driven within the defined speed limit will nt activate the sign, it will remain blank. As the sign will nt be shwn cntinuusly the maximum warning effect increases as drivers d nt becme de-sensed t the safe speed limit. This is prven t be ne f the mst effective ways t slw dwn the traffic n critical sectins.

Maintenance functin checks prper peratin f varius hardware cmpnents: Digital clck; Battery status; Slar charging; Light sensr functin; Temperature inside the cabinet; Flash disk; Radar functin, etc. Calendar and time dependant peratin can be defined. One year calendar is stred int the sign. Each day can be divided int the several perids. This functin is especially suitable fr schl areas where lwer speed limit is valid n wrking days during schl wrking time while higher limit is valid n weekends, hlidays and n wrking day ut f schl wrking time.

There are tw statistics: Hur by hur statistic, cntaining fllwing data fr each hur Number f vehicles Over speed vehicles The fastest vehicle time The fastest vehicle speed Number f vehicles within 12 speed ranges (0-25km/h, 25-35km/h 125+km/h). Speed ranges can be prgrammed accrding t the place f installatin. Vehicle by vehicle statistic, cntaining each detected vehicle. Thse data are intended fr future traffic analysis.

7 Clud based mnitring and cntrl: Ceval clud cntrl applicatin prvides mnitring and cntrlling mre signs remtely ver the Internet. The applicatin prvides real time functins: Mnitring fr all signs in the system and visual presentatin f current displays n the sign, placed n real gegraphical lcatin.
