Perfrming a thrttle relearn n GM thrttle-by-wire vehicles can be dne with yur scan tl. T perfrm a thrttle relearn n a 2008 Silverad 5.3L fr example, select and run the Idle Learn Reset test. Then start the engine and allw the ECM time t begin t learn. Clear any DTCs. In sme cases it may be necessary t drive the vehicle befre nrmal idle speed returns. Additinally, the scan tls supprt Thrttle Sweep and Thrttle Psitin tests t verify prper peratin f thrttle cmpnents. Thrttle relearn can als be dne withut a scan tl, essentially by letting the vehicle idle in park fr several minutes and allwing time fr the ECM t learn. See apprpriate service infrmatin fr vehicle specific prcedures and details if yu wish t perfrm a thrttle relearn in this way.
