5 Current distribution switch- disconnectors 1-pole switchable Size 00/160A to size 4a/1600A Product Definition 3-pole strip-type fuse switch-disconnectors formountingonbusbars. They combine three lengthwise-arranged 1-pole fuse switch-disconnectors in one unit. One contact of each phase (incoming contact) is connected to one phase of a 3-pole busbar. The other contacts (outgoing contacts) are equipped with conductor terminals. Applications The universal fuse switch-disconnectors are used in low voltage distribution cabinets, network and transformer stations and cable distribution cabinets of power supply and industrial companies, where they comply with all power distribution requirements. The following current ratings are available: 160A, 250A, 400A, 630A, 910A, 1000A, 1250A and 1600A. Operational principle The fuse switch-disconnectors are used for accomodating LV HRC fuse-links and thus for breaking of circuits. They are 1-pole switchable and can be switched under load. The universal swing-in devices allow the use of current meters in conjunction with meter fuses and piggyback fuses for piggyback fuses with sockets for temporary supply. The upper parts of the strips, which are protected to IP3X when fitted, have inspection holes for voltage testing in accordance with DIN VDE 0680 Part 5. The cable outlet (top or bottom) can be freely selected on site. Product construction The one-piece strip body, which accomodates current-carrying parts, consists of high-strength glass-fibre-reinforced polyester. The silver-plated contact for accomodating the fuse-links equipped with tin-plated discharge rails ensures low power loss, optimum thermal characteristics and high switching capacity. The downward connecting bars are designed for flat termination as standard, but it is also possible to fit direct-connection terminals. The live parts of size 1-3 strips, such as contacts and discharge rails, remain back-of-hand proof after removal of the upper part due to the contact covers with integrated arcing chamber which remain at the base. Twist locks allow straightforward removal and fitting of the upper parts of the strips with the swing-in devices. 13 Current distribution switch- disconnectors Accessories Terminals and adapters Product Definition TERMINALS Terminals are connectors for direct connection between connecting bars and lines. BUSBAR TERMINALS Busbar terminals are used for drill-free direct contacting of the strip-fuseways on the busbars. BUSBAR ADAPTERS / ADAPTER CLIPS The adapters are required for combining different strip sizes, e.g. size 00 with sizes 1to3. Anwendungen CLAMP-TYPE TERMINAL The S00 terminals are suitable for fitting to size 00 strips for the connection of circular Cu conductors and Cu ribbon conductors. V-TERMINAL CLAMP The P0070 V-terminal clamps are suitable for fitting to size 00 strips for the connection of circular and sector-shaped Al and Cu conductors. BOX TERMINAL The K2G/A box terminals can be retrofitted to size 1 to 3 strips with screw or stud terminal M12 x 35 and aresuitablefortheconnection of circular and sector-shaped Al and Cu conductors. KIT FOR 2 CABLE LUGS The FK-2x240 kit is used for the connection of 2 cable lugs of max. 2 x 300mm² per phase to size 1 to 3 strips with screw terminal. It is suitable for cable lugs up to a width of 43mm. BUSBAR TERMINALS Busbar terminals are used for drill-free direct contacting of size 00 strips on the busbars. They are available for bar thicknesses of 5mm to 10mm and 10mm to 15mm. BUSBAR ADAPTER Busbar adapters allow 2 size 00 strips to be placed on a 185mm busbar in combination with size 1 to 3 strips. ADAPTER CLIP Adapter clips allow a size 00striptobeplacedona 185mmbusbarin combination with size 1 to 3 strips. 9-12

15 Current distribution switch- disconnectors Accessories Covers Product Definition TERMINAL COMPARTMENT / TERMINAL COVER The terminal compartment and terminal covers provide probe-safe frontal protective covering of the terminal compartment. BUSBAR COVER The busbar covers can be screwed or latched on the busbars for covering exposed strip locations. BLANKING PLATE / RESERVE PANEL COVER The blanking plate and reserve panel covers are used for frontal covering of exposed strip locations. COVER HOLDER / LATERAL COVER SUPPORT The cover holders and lateral cover support are used for fixing and supporting lateral covers. Applications TERMINAL COMPARTMENT COVER The terminal compartment cover provides protective covering of the terminal compartment. It is mainly used for screw and stud terminal connection. TERMINAL COVER The HRV terminal cover is used to cover individual KM2 multiple box terminals.usedinconjunction with the KM2G-G terminal, it allows cable connection whiletheisenergized. In addition, it provides phase partitioning. BUSBAR COVER, CLIP-TYPE The clip-type protective covers of 100mm width are suitable for bar thicknesses of 5mm (6mm),10mm and 15mm and bar widths of 30mm to 100mm.
