2 GETO Van Frame Base Assembly Please read through these fitting instructions carefully before starting installation work! In order to conserve the quality of TITGEMEYER kits, and to ensure that they function as specified, the pallet containing the components must not be left in the open or otherwise exposed to the elements. Please note that no claims can be accepted if you fail to observe this condition! GETO Van Frame is suitable for chassis with an approved gross weight up to 7.t. 4 Place the longitudinal members (Items ) onto the mounting brackets in readiness for assembly and align to the width of the chassis frame. The chamfers on the longi - tudinal members should be pointing downwards in the direction of travel. Loosely bolt the cross-member (Item ) to the front longitudinal member (Item 6) and the mounting brackets (Items /) and align to the width of the longitudinal member and chassis frame (Item ). 5 Attach the end member (Item 11) to the front auxiliary longitudinal member (Item 6) (e.g. using screw clamps) and align the compo nents as shown in Fig. 2. Loosely attach the assembly plates (Item ) to the front auxiliary longitudinal members (Item 6) Always observe the installation guidelines provided by the vehicle manufacturer when fitting and aligning the base assembly to the chassis. Fig * * If necessary, adjust the spacing between the front edge of the longitudinal member to the front edge of the auxiliary longitudinal member at 2 mm intervals starting from 1 mm. 7 Align the components as shown in Fig. (rear portal frame conne ctor). Loosely bolt the assembly plates (Item ) to the rear auxiliary longi tudinal members (Item 7). 7 Always observe the installation guidelines provided by the vehicle manufacturer when fitting and aligning the base assembly to the chassis. If assembled professionally and correctly, the spacing from the inside edge of the floor recess to the centre of 1st cross-member should total around 62 mm allowing for all tolerances. 8 Loosely bolt the rear auxiliary longitudinal member (Item 7) to the longitudinal members (Items ) using the assembly plates (Item ). 7 Once the rear components have been fitted, begin fitting the remaining cross-members. Depending on the gross vehicle weight in question, the cross-member spacing may not exceed 62 mm (on vehicles up to 7. t) or 00 mm (on vehicles up to 12 t). When arranging the cross-members, always take the position of the rear axle into account. 00 / 62 Loosely bolt the cross-members (Item ) to the angle brackets (Items /) and the longitudinal members (Items ) and align to the width of the longitudinal members / chassis frame. 9 Once the rear components have been fitted, begin fitting the wheel arch cut-out (Items 9/10). When aligning the cross-members (Item ), always take the position of the rear axle and the plate joints into account. Spacing of cross-members (Item ) depends on the wheel arch cut-out being installed: 1000 mm or 120 mm. Loosely bolt the cross-members for the wheel arch cut-out (Item 9) to the longitudinal members for the wheel arch cut-out (Item 10) and the cross-members (Item ). Align the angle brackets (Items /) to the width of the longitudinal members / chassis frame and loosely bolt to the cross-members (Item ) and the longitudinal members (Items ) / / 62 Once the components for the wheel arch cut-out have been fitted, begin fitting the remaining cross-members. Depending on the gross vehicle weight in question, the cross-member spacing may not exceed 62 mm (on vehicles up to 7. t) or 00 mm (on vehicles up to 12 t). 10 Check that the baseframe dimensions are correct, the components are perpendicular and the cross-members are correctly positioned. Then tighten all fasteners to the required torque (see technical data). After mounting the body Corner reinforcements are fastened to the header and rave of the bulkhead. Corner reinforcements are fastened to the rave of the side wall. Please follow the fastening procedure! 1. Fasten the bulkhead to the header 2.
