2 The Mega Liner: Packed with mega ideas. At KRONE, we were the first to mass-produce trailers in mega-format. But we re not resting on our laurels. On the contrary: we have continued to develop the Mega Liner, which as a result has developed into an innovative volume vehicle packed with sophisticated refinements. Under run protection and light bars are always separate so that they can be replaced quickly and cost-effectively as individual components. 3 The Mega Liner lives up to its name in every respect. Not only does it boast a mega loading volume of 100 cubic metres, it also delivers numerous mega refinements. For example, the new hydraulic lifting roof with 450 mm lift height, the rear curtain tensioners for fast loading and unloading and Multi Lock / Multi Block, the awardwinning load securing system. Thanks to KTL + Powder coating (in your company s colours), your Mega Liner will never have rust perforation. We guarantee it. And just like all KRONE curtain sided trailers, the Mega Liner is also certified, regardless of load. The Mega Liner: a professional amongst mega trailers. Double impact protection on the inside of the front wall through a front-raised chassis and laminated wood liner bolted to the front wall. Nothing could be more stable. The strong coupling support with connections for electrics and air on two levels effectively prevents cables from getting tangled. Connections for a dual ride height on request. All control valves are well protected, located behind the axle assembly. Ready to go: wheel chocks where they are needed. KRONE purchases complete axles and suspension from renowned manufacturers. This ensures the best possible compatibility of axle and chassis. What s more, the vehicle stability system comes as standard. Although our Mega Liner is certainly a specialist vehicle, it s also one that can deliver much more besides. Just about everything, in fact. Thanks to the many innovative details and highly practical transport solutions that only KRONE can supply, it s thoroughly safe and sound. Multi Lock side rave come as standard. Securing positions at 100 millimetre intervals for universal load securing. Automotive container width even between the cant rails, making loading easy with the roof lifted on one side. To adjust the height of the rear frame, the lock rods are fitted with double locking claws at the top at intervals of 50 mm. The side curtains can also be opened and closed at the front wall using a quick release arm for fast loading and unloading of partial loads. The strong curtain tensioner is protected at the rear. It provides excellent leverage for a taut curtain. Simple movement of the sliding posts thanks to a one-lever operation. Making loading and unloading fast and efficient. 5 As an all-round performer, the Mega Liner must be able to meet all the daily demands of the transport business. That s why KRONE has built in dozens of ingenious details. These include the hydraulic lifting roof, which can be quickly raised for loading and unloading in all situations thanks to easily accessible separate pumps. The total lift is 450 mm. What s more, no connection are required between the pumps. What else can the Mega Liner offer? Automotive container width even between the cant rails. Optimum load securing: the awardwinning KRONE Multi Block loading bar with 22 anchor points is positioned across (optional). Part loads are ideally secured in the Mega Liner. Variable Multi Wall with removable aluminium boards as additional bulkhead (optional). A flat bar welded to the outer frame acts as a pallet stop toa prevent loads from slipping sideways. Also available: pallet stop for retro-fitting. The Mega Liner does it all: special alloy planks convert the trailer into a specialist drinks carrier in no time. Aluminium reversing planks secure bottle crates on locking bar pallets. The planks can be installed in the plank pockets both upright and horizontally. 7 Mega Liner Huckepack: Combined traffic XL At a speed of 140 km/h from Hamburg to Milan? No problem with the Mega Liner huckepack execution, which, of course, is also licensed for high-speed lines in cargo traffic. The superstructure stability is certified according to DIN EN Code XL. The Mega Liner piggyback execution may currently be transported on four wagon types: With a trestle height of 85 cm, the railway wagon Mega2 (d) by Hupac is suited for this; the following types with a trestle height of 88 cm are also compatible: the railway wagon T5 (e) by Hupac, the sail wagon and its advanced version T3000 (f) as well as the articulated double-railway wagon TWIN by AAE (g). Mega-volume for combined traffic: The Mega Liner in huckepack execution. Axles with split airbag: The air bellow lifts itself from its base and is not extended. Thus damage during spring deflection is avoided. Strong gripper edges and an aramid curtain protection allow cranes and fork-lift trucks to grip safely. 7

8 Mega Liner Coil: Mega-volume combined with coil transports 80 mm neck height, 3,000 mm internal height this is a real Mega Liner. Flexibility for high-volume transports and a coil trough with a length of 7,236 mm for transporting steel coils are combined in one vehicle. The chassis is systematically reinforced and thus withstands even extreme point loads. Even the empty weight of approx. 7,200 kg can be proudly presented. In addition, the Mega Liner Coil, of course, offers everything required for the safe transport of steel coils. Apart from the Multi Lock external frame, the vehicle is equipped with 9 pairs of heavyduty strapping rings in the external frame and 4 pairs of post sockets for the reception of coil retainer rods. The coil trough cover is, of course, forklift-compatible to allow the flexible utilisation of your vehicle. With a length of 7,236, the coil trough meets the standard. 4 pairs of post sockets and 9 pairs of heavy-duty strapping rings ensure a safe transport of steel coils. The covers of the coil tub in the floor are easy to handle and very solidly designed for forklift compatibility. The Multi Lock external frame allows down, direct, and inclined strapping of coils in any direction. The strapping angles are always optimally designed. The reinforced chassis withstands even extreme point loads. Coil retainer rods secure the steel coils to the front. Nine pairs of heavy-duty strapping rings complement the manifold strapping points of the Multi Lock external frame. The strapping trays are equipped with a cover. 8
