9 8 9 ENGINES & TRANSMISSIONS Engines & Transmissions Higher erformance and lower consumtion è The Turbofarmer range is equied with two Tier 4 Interim engines: 90 kw/122 H 3.6 litres at 2300 rm, torque 480 Nm at 1600 rm 115 kw/156 H 4.1 litres at 20 rm, torque 609 Nm at 1600 rm è Merlo hydrostatic transmission with ED (Eco ower Drive) as standard 2. As always Merlo telehandlers are equied with hydrostatic transmissions for imroved recision and safety with "active" braking. All versions are also equied with ED (Eco ower Drive) roviding electronic control of the combustion engine, thereby heling to reduce consumtion by 18% for effective annual savings. è è As standard on the CS and 156 H models (an otion on other models) there is the ED lus version that adds the Seed control 3 mode that allows the seed of the machine's movement to be memorised and to kee it constant (ideal for yard handling oerations) and the ECO mode that limits the motor rm, thereby obtaining further savings. All models with an electronic joystick (standard on CS) has the ED To system, which adds to the ED lus version the automated control of the Diesel revs according to the movement of the joystick in order to increase the seed of the movements of the telescoic boom, otimising the erformance of the machine and keeing consumtion to a minimum. è The Turbofarmers are equied with the «Fan Drive» 1 system that allows you to change the rotation direction of the fan, from suction to blowing. 11 10 11 MERLO CVTRONIC Merlo Merlo's own continuous variable transmission version Engine and radiant ack The transmission follows Merlo s traditions in the hydrostatic field and ensures smooth acceleration without interruting torque from 0 to km/h. The transmission comrises two axial iston hydrostatic motor (2X) owered by the electronicallycontrolled hydraulic um. At low work seeds, they function in conjunction to rovide maximum torque, with an increase of + 12% with resect to conventional hydrostatic transmissions. 13 12 13 NEW CAB Comfort record World exclusive cab with susensions The new cab was develoed to ensure recordbreaking comfort for our users. At 1010 mm, it is the largest in its category, yet even acoustic and thermal comfort involved detailed design; the cab is also ressurised to revent dust entering the cockit. The air conditioning system is comletely new and was develoed based on automotive standards, halving the warmu and cooldown times, guaranteeing an otimal temerature in all conditions. The new Merlo cab can now reach an internal temerature of 22 C with an external temerature of 43 C and full sunlight and an internal temerature of 26 C with an external condition of 15 C and no solar irradiation. The inlet vent is located on the side of the cab away from otential sources of dust and dirt. On the inside there are 8 vents, three of which are for defrosting the windscreen for otimal climate comfort. THERE IS the susended cab, something only Merlo offers in the field of telehandlers: the neumatic susensions rovide the best comfort in its class. AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM The air flow is distributed evenly inside the driver's cab and reaches all areas in an otimal manner mm wide. 15 14 15 MERLO CDC Merlo Dynamic Load Control Safety as standard for everyone The Merlo Grou considers safety as an absolutely essential value and this is why it invented the M CDC system. The objective is to allow every oerator to work in total safety by fully exloiting the otential of the telehandler and the equiment used. The Merlo CDC system means that the Turbofarmer automatically recognises the attachment fitted and consequently calibrates its erformance in relation to secific load charts. The oerator can check at any time the dynamic equilibrium of the vehicle, thanks to the led on the screen or the traffic light on the front uright. For manoeuvres that may give rise to a telehandler stability risk, the M CDC system will block the boom and revent any further movements that may worsen the situation. On versions with a gear um as standard, the CDC light system ensures all Merlo safety levels but without the dislay and without automatic recognition (not comatible with latform). We are determined to ensure that Merlo telehandlers are increasingly multiurose in order to maximise return on investment for our clients. The new Turbofarmer range takes this concet to even higher limits. As well as conventional handling, logistics and maintenance alications tyical of telehandlers, the new Turbofarmers allow you to use them even for towing, thanks to the towing hook tyearoved for 21 tons and the neumatic and hydraulic trailer braking system. For tasks with attachments requiring TOs, both versions of 122 H and 156 H are available with a mechanical TO to allow towing oerations with unifeed mixer trucks, rotary balers, seeders and srayers. 21 20 21 AXLES & BRAKES Axles and brakes, effective and efficient Real benefits Our Turbofarmer telehandlers are equied with axles that have been conceived, designed and constructed inhouse. There are two tyes, both made of cast iron and with cascade reducers, for which we assure sturdiness, excellent steering erformance and ground clearance for best in class status. All of our Turbofarmer telehandlers are equied with 4 dry disc brakes that allow for consistent reduction of friction and, thus, fuel consumtion in comarison to oil bath discs. The arking brake is automatically engaged when the engine is switched off. The oerator can also engage it at will when the engine is running for stationary work on sloes. From concetion to develoment, everything is studied, designed and created in the Grou's lants. This simle "rule" also alies to attachments. Backed by years of exerience, Merlo's technicians have develoed a wide range of attachments, divided by tye and load caacity. This standard makes it ossible to adat tested and interchangeable roduction equiment to allow for targeted uses, with the intention of facilitating work and reducing its execution times.
