9 8 9 ENGINE Record secifications Merlo technology is available for everyone The Medium Duty range is offered with two different engines: 55kW/75H and 90kW/22H, both of them Tier 4 Interim engines. The twoseed hydrostatic transmission adds km/h, unique in its category. All the versions are also equied with ED (Eco ower Drive) for electronic management of the thermal engine, heling to reduce consumtion by 8%. The ED lus version offers "Seed Control" mode, which memorises the machine's movement seed and kees it constant (ideal for yard handling oerations), and the ECO function, which limits the rm for further economic savings. In combination with the electronic joystick, the ED To D system offers automatic Diesel seed control in relation to B C joystick movements on order to increase telescoic boom A movement seed, otimise machine erformance and minimise consumtion. The «Fan Drive» is available, making it ossible to change the direction of the fan's rotation from sucking to blowing, in order to kee the radiant ack at maximum efficiency. 11 0 NEW CAB The new recordbreaking cab Even more unique and comfortable The modular system allows use of the same "New Generation" cab that equis the highest caacity models. For the Medium Duty family, there is also a version equied with the "CS" susended cab, offered only by Merlo in the field of telehandlers: the neumatic susensions rovide the best comfort in its class. At 00 mm, it is the largest cab in its category, yet even acoustic and thermal comfort involved detailed design; the cab is also ressurised to revent dust entering the cockit. The air conditioning system is comletely new and was develoed based on automotive standards, halving the warmu and cooldown times, guaranteeing an otimal temerature in all conditions. The new Merlo cab can now reach an internal temerature of 22 C with an external temerature of 4 C and full sunlight and an internal temerature of 26 C with an external condition of 5 C and no solar irradiation. The inlet vent is located on the side of the cab away from otential sources of dust and dirt. Inside, there are 8 vents (three for defrosting the windscreen) for otimal conditioning comfort. AIRCONDITIONING SYSTEM The air flow is distributed evenly inside the comartment and reaches all areas. 13 2 AXLES & BRAKES New generation of Merlo lanetary axles Designed for maximum erformance and long duration Our Medium Duty telehandlers are equied with a new generation of lanetary axles, conceived, designed and built entirely, with 22 mm track. The solution with lanetary reducers was chosen to kee the machine's height as high as ossible. The result of exerience acquired on the field, the axles consist of a central cast iron body, lanetary reducers and differential locking. Braking is ensured by 4 dry disc brakes keyed onto the axle shafts, allowing a remarkable reduction in friction and, consequently, consumtion. To comlete the secifications offered, the Medium Duty telehandlers are equied with a arking disc brake which is automatically engaged when the diesel engine is switched off, or engaged directly by the oerator in the event of work on sloing surfaces. The new axles ensure an excellent ground clearance of ±420 mm (460/7024 tyres), making it ossible to ass obstacles with agility. The manual arking brake selector is automatically engaged when the engine is switched off.
