The name Challenger, synonymous with high horsepower machinery, is shaking up the tractor market yet again with the introduction of the all-new Series articulated 4-wheel drive tractor. When Challenger introduced the MT875B tracked tractor at 570 hp, it set the benchmark for extreme power in an agricultural setting. Now we have matched that with an incredibly versatile 4-wheel drive tractor. Ideal for heavy pulling such as deep rippers, large harrows, air seeders or towed scrapers, Series tractors provide the operator with another reliable, high-horsepower option from their Challenger dealer. 5 More power, more control, more productivity Reliable Output Standard on the Series is the reliable CAT engineered and tested 16F and 4R Powershift transmission. With a heavy-duty, cast iron housing and high-capacity bearings and shafts, this transmission is designed to handle the output of the largest and most powerful agricultural tractor engine on the market. Eight gears in the popular 6.5 to 15.0 km/h operating range provide excellent choice for enhanced productivity. Closely spaced gear splits were designed specifically with the engine torque rise and operating rpm in mind to deliver the most usable power over the operating range. With a 39.7 km/h transport speed, you can spend less time on the road and more time getting the job done. Completing the transaxle are the new Front and Rear axles. Both have electro-hydraulically actuated differentials. Contained within the rear axle are dual inboard planetary final drives, and a 145 mm bar axle, the largest in the industry. Versatile Hydraulics A standard 164 l/m hydraulic pump, and an optional 223 l/m pump provide all the hydraulic power needed for even the most demanding applications. Series machines come with 4 electro-hydraulic valves as standard, and optional 5th and 6th valves, which give the tractor more versatility to satisfy the needs of larger equipment. The hydraulic system also comes equipped with the Challenger-exclusive Comfort and Control The Series surrounds the operator with luxury and comfort. The cab has been ergonomically designed to make long hours in the field a pleasure for the operator. The standard air-suspension seat and the new optional VRS Deluxe Seat are designed to support any operator in complete comfort, with convenient access to all controls. Load Independent Flow Division TM (LIFD). In simple terms, the LIFD ensures proportional flow to all circuits when the system is operating at full capacity. Instead of diverting hydraulic flow from one job to another when pump capacity is exceeded, the LIFD reduces flow to all demands proportionally. That means that all hydraulic operations continue even when the demands are high. 5

With real-time monitoring of temperatures, pressures, efficiency and performance, the operator is constantly aware of what is happening within the tractor and can make adjustments on the move, to keep the tractor running at peak efficiency. The TMC also monitors service intervals and alerts the operator when service is needed. It will also sound the alarm in the event of a failure so that the operator can take the necessary actions to prevent damage to the tractor.
