5 Strength of build At the heart of the Maniscopic is the patented Monobloc chassis which allows the engine to be mounted to the side enabling the boom to be nestled within the frame for maximum visibility. The axles are fitted with extra torque reduction gears which multiply torque at the wheels whilst reducing stress inside the axles, thereby ensuring an extended service life. Maximum protection All major components - especially the engine block and the transmission - are fully protected from stress and shock loading within the chassis but are fully accessible for routine service and daily maintenance. Quality assurance All fabrications are manufactured to the highest standards in the industry. Computer aided design allied to the latest tool technology and the use of only the highest grades of steel, ensures the Maniscopic is the strongest machine available today. The Perkins engine on the new 1104 Series is transverse mounted (MANITOU PATENT), and offers even better performance and power (Atmo : 81 HP and Turbo : 101 HP at 2200 rpm, to ISO/TR standard). The 1104C-44 and 1104C-44T direct injection models were specifically designed to meet the criteria of the European directive on regulation of gas emissions. Using the new Vista combustion system, the engine has both reduced noise levels and lower fuel consumption. 7 All round vision Excellent visibility from every angle Safety on site must be the first and most important consideration when choosing any items of lifting machinery. It is absolutely vital that the driver should feel safe and have confidence in the machine being operated. The Maniscopic with its comfortable spacious ROFS/FOPS cab, very low noise levels and easy to operate controls gives that confidence. The very low anchor point combined with the reduced rear overhang and the integral wings together provide outstanding visibility Unrivalled all round visibility ensures that the driver is in total control at all times and is fully aware of everything happening both inside and outside of the machine. You have maximum visibility through 360. Very good visibility to the rear of the machine

8 Operator comfort The cab has been redesigned to give you extra working space. It is mounted on silent blocks, as required under the exating ROPS / FOPS and ANSI standards. Even better ventilation and heating We have positioned adjustable nozzles in the cab, to ensure a uniform temperature and total demisting of the windscreen. In hot weather, the top section of the door and the rear window can be opened. However, when working in really arduous and dusty conditions, we recommend that you use optional air conditioning. All within hand s reach On your right, all the controls have been positioned by function : gear lever, hydraulic control levers, heating and air conditioning. On your left, is the hand brake. It is fitted with a safety catch and disconnects the transmission. An internal lever opens the vandal proof door. There is easy access to the hydraulic and fuel tanks. The illuminated dashboard includes a fuel gauge and hourmeter. On starting, all warning lights and an audio warning device confirm that the machine is operating correctly. A safe load indicator with buzzer and warning light will advise reserve load capacity. For additional safety, an automatic cutout facility is available as an optional extra (compulsory when handling suspended loads).

The load is positioned in perfect safety, no matter how confined the working space. Each model has been structurally designed so as to achieve perfect weight balance : Lengthways : the machine gains extra balance from its wheel base and reduced front and rear overhang, Sideways : the engine's weight is balanced on the other side of the boom by the weight of the cab and fuel and hydraulic tanks. The machine gains its outstanding rough terrain capability and stability from its substantial ground clearance and oscillating rear axle assembly.

11 Full control of transmission The operator has full control of his machine through the 2 pedals, accelerator and service brake (power-assisted oil immersed multiple disc braking system on both axles). The clutch pressure modulation valve makes for a gradual start and very smooth directional changes. For extra comfort and effortless operation, there is an electro-hydraulic reverser with neutral detent for aditional safety. 15 Choice of equipments The quick fit attachment system means that the forks carriage can be easily replaced by a jib or a concrete mixer, bucket, etc. An integrated side shift carriage (option) makes for greater handling precision with no loss of load. Easier maintenance The patented sideways mounting of the engine across the chassis gives full and unrestricted access to both sides of the engine, an essential feature for ensuring maintenance is not neglected.
