7 Safety infrmatin nance wrk must be cmpleted at yur lcal Hak service center. The maintenance wrk and maintenance intervals prescribed in the perating manual must be adhered t. Suitable tls must be used fr cleaning and maintenance wrk. The machine must be inspected by a recgnized technical expert in respect f peratinal safety, within the terms f the applicable accident preventin laws, at reasnable intervals (we recmmend at least nce a year) and fllwing mdificatin r repairs. Spare parts must cmply with the minimum technical requirements stipulated by the manufacturer! This is ensured by the use f riginal spare parts. The machine must be switched ff prir t cleaning r servicing it r t replacing parts. The drive bar must be ut f peratin! Always discnnect the battery plug befre starting any wrk n the electrical installatin. When wrking in the area f the raised hd, it must be hinged pen fully t prevent it being kncked shut r further pen and dwn unintentinally. It is nt permitted t clean the machine with a pressure washer r steam blaster. It is nt permitted t use aggressive and crrsive cleaning agents. Allw the machine t dry after being cleaned, e.g. ver the weekend. Only start the machine up when all the safety equipment has been installed and brught t its prtecting psitin. 1.5 Particular risks Electrnics In the case f defects in the electrical installatin, switch the machine ff immediately and clear the fault. Wrk n the electrical equipment may nly be carried ut by electricians wh have received the necessary training and in accrdance with the electrical engineering regulatins. The machine's electrical equipment must be inspected/checked at regular intervals. Defects, such as lse cnnectins and cable damage, must be rectified immediately. Batteries Observe the infrmatin in the perating manual prvided by the battery manufacturer. It is pssible that sparking will ccur when cnnecting the batteries. Batteries may nly be handled and changed by prperly skilled maintenance persnnel. The machine has been set up fr peratin using maintenance-free batteries. If ther battery types are used, the machine must be set up fr use with them by an authrized Hak service center. Never lay any metallic bjects r tls n batteries - risk f shrt circuit! Fr further safety infrmatin, refer t supplementary sheet ntes n driving batteries. 7

8 Safety infrmatin 1.6 Envirnmental prtectin A certain factual expertise is required in rder t use substances which culd represent a risk t health and the envirnment. Observe the applicable laws and lcal regulatins when dispsing f waste. Used batteries with the recycling symbl cntain reusable cmmdities. In accrdance with symbl with the crssed ut bin, these batteries must nt be dispsed f in dmestic waste. The return and recycling f batteries must be agreed n with Hak's authrized dealers in accrdance with 8 BattV (Battery Directive)! 8
