It is battery perated and is intended by Minuteman t be used in accrdance with this manual, the labels n the machine itself, as well as applicable federal, state, and lcal safety and envirnmental statutes, regulatins, and rdinances (cllectively the "gvernmental regulatins"), applicable cmmercial standards, and cmmn sense.. Therefre, as a starting pint, this manual must be read and understd thrughly prir t the machine being switched n fr the first time. Its intended scpe f applicatin is fr wet cleaning f level, smth, hard-surfaced flrs in accrdance with the prvisins f this instructin manual, applicable gvernmental regulatins, manufacturer specificatins, and machine labels (cllectively, "prper use"). Using the E Ride 26 SPORT beynd its prper use will be deemed imprper use by Minuteman. 7 Safety Infrmatin 1.2 General Prvisins Please read this user manual and instructin plates / labels n the E Ride 26 SPORT unit in their entirety befre peratin. These materials cntain valuable infrmatin regarding the safe peratin f the machine. Minuteman recmmends that peratrs receive training by qualified Minuteman technicians befre start-up, peratin, use, servicing, r repair f the machine. This user manual is nt intended as a substitute fr applicable gvernment regulatins; nr des it include r address same. Users, and emplyers f users, shuld familiarize themselves with applicable gvernment regulatins that may impact use and peratin f the E Ride 26 SPORT, including, but nt limited t, regulatins prmulgated pursuant t the federal Occupatinal Safety and Health Act. The precautins and imprtant safety infrmatin cntained in this user manual must be made available current users and dwnstream users f the machine. When re-selling r renting ut E Ride 26 SPORT machines, it is recmmended that cpies f this user manual be prvided and that any illegible machine labels r instructin plates be replaced. The E Ride 26 SPORT is designed fr indr use nly. Stre machine indrs. Keep the electrical cmpnents f the machine dry. Make sure that all warning labels and instructin plate n the machine are maintained, legible, and prperly attached. 7

8 Safety Infrmatin Operatinal Precautins The E Ride 26 SPORT is a batteryperated hard surface flr cleaning system that utilizes a water / cleaning slutin that is applied t the flr and then vacuumed back int the machine by way f an integrated squeegee fr later dispsal. Liquid residue remaining n the flr during peratin can represent a slip and fall hazard t the peratr and thers in the vicinity f machine use. When wrking with the machine, peratrs shuld use firm and skid-prf shes. Areas where flr cleaning will ccur shuld be apprpriately marked with suitable slip and fall hazard signs / markers / pp-up cnes, etc! It is indispensable fr the peratr r user f the machine t becme thrughly acquainted with attached implements and cntrls - as well as their varius functins - befre peratin cmmences. Befre cmmencing peratin f the machine, check fr bvius signs f lse parts, ptential cnditins indicative f malfunctins, etc. Any signs f ptential prblems must be remedied befre actual peratin cmmences. The electrical system in the machine is nt designed t suppress sparks. Accrdingly, use f the E Ride 26 SPORT where fire r explsin hazards may exist due t flammable gases r vaprs, flammable liquids, cmbustible dust, r ignitable fibers r flyings, must be avided. The machine can cause an explsin when perated near such areas. Use cautin when perating the machine n a ramp r incline. D nt turn the machine n an incline, as it may becme unstable and flip ver. D nt leave the machine unattended n a ramp r incline, as it culd rll freely and result in persnal injury. The E Ride 26 SPORT is nt designed fr use n surfaces with a greater than 6% incline r slpe. Adpt peratin habits t lcal cnditins t ensure machine is always under peratr's cntrl. The E Ride 26 SPORT is nt designed fr decntaminatin purpses and shuld nt be used in areas where hazardus wastes r materials are stred r have been spilled. Use f the E Ride 26 SPORT in these areas culd result in the spread f hazardus wastes r materials and peratr expsure t same. Remve the key t avid unauthrized use f the machine.

9 Safety Infrmatin 1.4 Maintenance Precautins Maintenance and repairs must be perfrmed by qualified persnnel nly. Maintain adjustments n machine pursuant t specificatins nted in the service manual. Maintenance and repair wrk must be perfrmed by using apprpriate, undamaged tls. Spare and replacement parts must cnfrm with factry machine specificatins. Failure t d s may result in machine malfunctins. Genuine spare and replacement parts are highly recmmended. Switch ff and remve the machine's key befre inspecting the machine r perfrming any maintenance r repair wrk. Failure t d s may result in accidental machine activatin and persnal injury. When perfrming maintenance r repair wrk n the machine's electrical system, be sure t discnnect the machine's battery plug first. Failure t d s culd result in accidental machine activatin and persnal injury. Befre cmmencing peratin f the machine, check fr bvius signs f lse parts, ptential cnditins indicative f malfunctins, etc. Any signs f ptential prblems must be remedied befre actual peratin cmmences. 10 Safety Infrmatin Battery and Electrical System Precautins The E Ride 26 SPORT perates n either lead acid r AGM batteries. Batteries can generate gases which can ignite r cause an explsin. Keep sparks and flames away frm the batteries. Charge the batteries nly in well ventilated areas. Wear eye prtectin when wrking near batteries. D nt put any type f metal bjects r tls acrss the battery terminals r n tp f batteries. D nt clean the machine's electrical parts r system, including batteries, by means f highpressure cleaning equipment. Such activities culd cause shrt-circuit r battery explsin hazards, resulting in persnal injury. Only use a charger designed fr yur specific battery type. Only qualified individuals shuld attempt t undertake maintenance and repair activities assciated with the machine's electrical system in accrdance with apprpriate industry standards and gvernment regulatins, if any. The electrical system f the machine shuld be inspected at regular intervals. Any bvius defects, such as lse cnnectins, damaged r frayed electrical cables, crrsin, shuld be repaired befre the machine is put back int use. Failure t d s culd cause machine malfunctins r electrical hazards. In case f a malfunctin f the machine's electrical system, including, but nt limited t, unexpected lss f pwer r individual system shutdwns, the machine shuld be shut dwn immediately fr inspectin and required maintenance and repair. Batteries must be selected and seated apprpriately in accrdance with factry machine specificatins. Failure t d s culd result in inapprpriate changes t the machine's center f gravity which, in turn, culd result in machine peratin and cntrl hazards (especially n inclined surfaces) and related persnal injury. Observe all perating, use, and safety instructins prvided by the apprpriate battery manufacturer. Used batteries must be handled, dispsed, r recycled prperly in accrdance with gvernment regulatins. Used batteries shuld never be dispsed f as nn-hazardus waste (e.g. dmestic r husehld waste). Used batteries shuld be dispsed r recycled by apprpriately trained and permitted entities and /r dispsal facilities.

11 Safety Infrmatin 1.6 Cleaning Slutin Use and Dispsal Precautins Only cleaning agents / detergents suitable fr autmatic machines (lw faming) shuld be used in the E Ride 26 SPORT. Cleaning agents / detergents shuld be mixed with water in ratis established by prduct labels and r manufacturer recmmendatins. All safety precautins established by the cleaning agent / detergent's manufacturer (including, but nt limited t, use f glves and safety glasses) must be fllwed. These safety precautins can typically be fund n the cleaning agent / detergent's prduct labels, accmpanying cllateral materials, and related Material Safety Data Sheets Used r spent mixtures f water and cleaning agents / detergents cllected in the machine's recvery tank must be dispsed f in accrdance with applicable gvernment regulatins and r lcal permits btained by the facility in which flr cleaning activities ccur, if any. Vilatins f such gvernment regulatins and lcal permits can result in significant penalties. Never dispse f the cntents f the machine's recvery tank utdrs r int strmwater systems r basins! 11

17 Operating and Indicating Elements Directin selectr (Fig. 5/1) Cntrls the directin in which the E Ride 26 SPORT will mve when the acceleratr pedal is activated. The arrw pinting frward the amber LED (Fig. 5/ 2) indicates the machine is in frward mde. The arrw pinting backward with the red LED (Fig. 5/7) indicates the machine is in reverse mde. Battery / Fault gauge(fig. 5/3) This gauge displays the remaining battery charge. This gauge als displays any fault cdes that might ccur with the machine cntrller (see Trubleshting fr fault cdes). Slutin cntrl(fig. 5/4) This cntrl will adjust the amunt f slutin that is dispersed t the flr while in ne f the scrub mdes. Adjust cntrl clckwise t increase the amunt f slutin being dispersed. The slutin flw range is frm zer (0) t a maximum f ¾ GPM. Hrn (Fig. 5/5) Activates the electric hrn. Key Switch(Fig. 5/6) The key switch turns the electrical system n and ff. Remve the key t avid unauthrized use f the machine. Mde selectr(fig. 5/11) Selects the perating mde f the machine. Regular scrub mde(fig. 5/9) This mde is recmmended fr day-tday tasks under nrmal cnditins. With the directin selectr in the frward psitin and the acceleratr pedal is activated, the slutin pump will turn n, brushes will turn n and lwer, vacuum mtr will turn n and squeegee will lwer. When the acceleratr pedal is released and the machine stps mving, the scrub deck will autmatically raise and turn ff the brushes, the squeegee will raise and the vacuum mtr will turn ff after a delay. If the directin selectr is in the reverse psitin, the machine will perate the same as in frward mde, nly the squeegee will raise up. 17

18 Operating and Indicating Elements Heavy scrub mde(fig. 5/10) This mde is recmmended fr high traffic areas and areas that have been heavily siled. The machine will perate the same as if it was in Regular Scrub Mde, nly in this mde brush pressure is increased. Duble scrub mde(fig. 5/8) This mde is recmmended if the flr is heavily siled and the cleaning chemicals will need additinal time t emulsify grease and ils that are n the flr. With the directin selectr in either the frward r reverse psitin and the acceleratr is activated, the slutin pump will turn n, the brushes will turn n and lwer t the flr. The rear squeegee will nt lwer. This allws the chemical slutin time t remain n the flr. After duble scrubbing, vacuum nly mde shuld be used t recver the dirty slutin water frm the flr. Vacuum nly mde(fig. 5/12) This mde is recmmended fr slutin remval after duble scrubbing, but can als be used t pick up spills. When the acceleratr pedal is activated with the directin selectr in the frward psitin, the rear squeegee will lwer t the flr as the vacuum mtr turns n pulling the dirty slutin water frm the rear squeegee int the recvery tank. If the machine stps mving and the directin selectr is switched t reverse, the rear squeegee will raise (prtecting it frm damage) and the vacuum mtr will turn ff after a delay. If the machine stps mving in either directin, the squeegee will autmatically raise and the vacuum mtr will shut ff after a delay. Transprt mde(fig. 5/13) When this mde is selected, nne f the cleaning functins will perate. This mde is nly used t transprt the machine frm ne lcatin t anther. 18

CB2 - Auxiliary Circuit Breaker (Fig. 6/2) This push buttn circuit breaker is used t reset breaker cntrl f the auxiliary items n the E Ride 26 SPORT. nly way t select a different SPORT mde (Brush Speed) I, II, r III, is t insert the key and turn t a new mde selectin. Remve the SPORT key t avid unauthrized Brush Speed cntrl selectin. SPORT - Key Psitin III (Fig. 6/3) When SPORT key is in psitn III, the brush speed will be 400 RPM, nminal. SPORT - Brush Speed II (Fig. 6/4) When SPORT key is in psitn II, the brush speed will be 300 RPM, nminal. SPORT - Brush Speed I (Fig. 6/5) When SPORT key is in psitn I, the brush speed will be 200 RPM, nminal. Key Psitin - SPORT mde (Fig. 6/ 6) Key must inserted t select SPORT mde (Brush Speed), I, II, r III. SPORT mde selectin will remain selected with r withut the key inserted. The 21

The Brush Speed fr this psitin is 200 RPM, nminal. lcated abve this decal. Tggle Switch - Off Aisle Wand Switch (Fig. 7/5) This tggle switch is t turn the Aisle Wand On r Off. SPORT mde II - Amber LED Indicatr (Fig. 7/2) This Amber LED Indicatr will light up when the user has psitined the key in the SPORT mde II pstin. The Brush Speed fr this psitin is 300 RPM, nminal. SPORT mde III - Red LED Indicatr (Fig. 7/3) This Red LED Indicatr will light up when the user has psitined the key in the SPORT mde III pstin. The Brush Speed fr this psitin is 400 RPM, nminal. 25 Operating and Indicating Elements Seat adjustment lever (Fig. 8/1) Use this lever t adjust the seat frward r backward. Slutin tank fill prt (Fig. 8/2) The slutin tank is filled thrugh this prt. Slutin filter (Fig. 8/3) While slutin flws frm tank t brush deck, it is cleaned by the filter element. Slutin tank drain hse (Fig. 8/4) This hse allws draining f the slutin tank. Slutin level sight gauge (Fig. 8/5) The amunt f slutin in the tank can be checked visually using this gauge. Recvery tank drain hse (Fig. 8/6) This hse allws draining f the cllected siled water frm the tank. Recvery tank lid (Fig. 8/7) Remving this lid allws access t the recvery tank and suctin filter. Suctin filter (Fig. 8/8) This filter prtects the vacuum mtr frm water and debris. Off aisle wand switch (ptinal) (Fig. 8/9) This switch activates the ptinal ff aisle wand Hurmeter (Fig. 3/12) The hurmeter displays the current perating hur level. 25

26 Operating and Indicating Elements Dirt hpper guiding rail (Fig. 9/1) The dirt hpper lcated at the cylindrical brush deck is fastened by a guiding rail. This dirt hpper may be easily remved fr cleaning. 1 Cylindrical brush hub (Fig. 9/2) This hub (bth sides) can be remved t access the cylindrical brushes. The cylindrical brushes may be easily remved withut tls. 4 3 Side squeegee pivt (Fig. 9/3) Pivt the side squeegee in lifted psitin t allw access t the cylindrical brush hub withut disturbing the alignment f the side squeegees. 30 First Operatin 4 First Operatin 4.1 Instructin Only persns trained by qualified Minuteman technicians are authrized t perate, service and repair the machine. Operatrs must read and understand this manual befre perating r maintaining this machine. 4.2 Initial charging prcedure Be sure t use prper charger per battery type. Befre first peratin f the machine, fully charge the battery with an initial charging prcedure and cmply with the perating instructins f the charger as well as with thse f the battery manufacturer. Minuteman cannt be held liable fr damages resulting frm an insufficient initial charge. 4.3 Befre Putting int Operatin Cmplete the fllwing inspectins befre taking the machine int peratin: 1. Check the area arund the machine fr signs f leakage. Hses, lines and tanks must be free frm any leakage r damage. 2. Install brushes and squeegee, see maintenance chapter. 3. Install batteries and cnnect battery plug, see maintenance chapter. 4. Check battery charge and recharge if required. An initial charge is required befre first peratin f the machine. (see Maintenance sectin) 5. Empty recvery tank and clean it if required, see maintenance chapter. 6. Refill slutin tank and add cleaning agent accrding t the manufacturer's recmmendatins. Use nly cleaning agents suitable fr autmatic machines (lw-faming) and cmply with the instructins fr use, dispsal and with the warning infrmatin specified by the cleaning agent's manufacturer. 4.4 Start Machine Prceed with the fllwing t set the machine t perating mde: Discnnect the charger and cnnect the battery cnnectr Switch n machine by actuatin f key switch frm psitin (0) t psitin (1). The battery gauge will display the remaining battery life. 30

31 First Operatin 4.5 Operatin 1. Switch n the machine. 2. Select ne f the five available mdes using the mde selectr (Fig. 5/11). 3. Set the directin the machine will travel by selecting frward r reverse n the directin selectr (Fig. 5/1). 4. Set the brush speed selectr switch t the desired brush speed setting, using the key switch n the circuit breaker panel. This switch determines the speed at which the brushes will rtate (I=200RPM, II=300RPM, III=400RPM). All speeds are nminal. The LED s n the OFF Asile Wand Switch Plate will shw the peratr what a brush speed has been selected (Green = I, Amber = II, Red = III). Be careful that yur speed setting is crrect fr the brushes yu are using. 5. Activating the accelleratr pedal (Fig. 4/21) turns n the transprt, brushes, water flw, vacuum, and lwers the rear squeegee accrdingly t the mde selected. If the acceleratr pedal is activated befre, r the key is switched ON at the same time, the machine will nt mve as a safety precautin. Remve yur ft frm the pedal, turn the machine OFF and ON, then activate the pedal t drive the machine. When the directin switch is set t reverse and the acceleratr is activated, the back up alarm will sund and the rear squeegee will autmatically raise. Hwever, the scrub brushes will cntinue t rtate and slutin will cntinue t flw. 6. Start scrubbing by driving the machine frward in a straight line at 3/4 speed verlapping each path by 2 t 3 inches. Start mving machine immediately after switching n the brush deck, therwise the brushes leave traces n the flr. Lift brush deck befre passing ver steps and ther bstacles. 7. When scrubbing, check behind the machine ccasinally t see that all f the dirty water is being picked up. If streaking ccurs, the recvery tank may be full, the suctin hse may be clgged, debris may need t be remved frm the squeegee, r the rear squeegee may require adjustment. (Refer t Maintenance sectin befre making any adjustments.) In cases where the flrs are extremely siled r dirty, the duble scrub mde may be needed. (Refer t Operating and Indicating Elements sectin.) The recvery tank has a safeguard fr verflw prtectin t guard against water entering the vacuum mtr when the recvery tank is full. The Vacuum will stay ON fr 15 secnds and then shut-ff autmatically. When this happens, immediately empty the recvery tank. 31

32 First Operatin Drive the machine t a designated dirty water dispsal area and empty the recvery tank. (Refer t Maintenance sectin fr instructins.) 9. Refill the slutin tank and cntinue scrubbing until the jb is dne r the machine runs ut f charge. The battery/ fault gauge (Fig. 5/3) will flash t signal that the machine is almst ut f pwer. When this signal is displayed, all functins will shut ff (brushes will turn ff, the scrub deck and squeegee will raise. The key switch must be turned OFF then ON t reset the machine. The machine will then nly have a few minutes left f reserve pwer fr a shrt vacuum nly mde t pick up remaining slutin n the flr and transprt pwer t drive t the battery recharging statin. If the machine is perated fr an excessive perid f time after cleaning functins have stpped, it will eventually turn itself ff. The machine will have t be pushed back t the recharging statin. 4.6 Stp Machine T stp scrubbing, select the transprt mde (Fig. 5/13). This will autmatically stp the slutin flw, raise the scrubdeck, raise the squeegee, and turn ff the vacuum mtr (15-secnd delay). 4.7 After Wrk Refer t the Maintenance sectin fr specific maintenance instructins described belw. 1. When finished scrubbing, select the transprt mde (Fig. 5/13), all cleaning functins will shut ff. Mve the machine t a suitable site fr maintenance. 2. Empty and clean the slutin tank 3. Empty and clean the recvery tank Observe the legal directives and lcal regulatins fr dispsal f detergents. 4. Remve and clean the brushes r pad hlders. 5. Remve and clean the rear squeegee 6. Check perating fluid levels, functin and setting. 7. Remve and clean the side squeegees. 8. Clean the machine. D nt clean the electrical parts by means f high-pressure cleaning equipment. 9. Check the maintenance schedule and perfrm any required maintenance befre string the machine. 10.Charge batteries. 11.Stre the machine indrs in a clean dry place. Keep frm freezing Leave the slutin and recvery tank lids pen fr ventilatin t prevent dr build-up. 12.Turn key switch OFF and remve key. Remve the key t avid unauthrized use f the machine.

Lwer the scrub deck by switching t a scrubbing mde and when the brushes start up, turn OFF the key switch. 3. At this pint the side squeegee shuld be resting vertically (n deflectin) n the flr. Press dwn n the side squeegee bracket assembly frm each end while making sure that the blade is unifrmly deflected in a 45 degree angle alng its whle length. 4. Tighten the wingnuts. 5. Turn the steering wheel all the way t the left r right and start pushing the machine t the side t inspect the blade deflectin and wiping actin. 6. Lsen the pivt blts (Fig. 19/1) and adjust the squeegee using the adjusting nuts (Fig. 19/2) s that the ends f the squeegee blades cntact the flr.
