Subject: Addendum No. 1 ADDENDUM NO. 1 This Addendum shall form part of the Contract Documents. The Bidder should acknowledge receipt of this Addendum on the Form of Tender FT-1. General: Contractors are advised that on January 3, 2018 the Clean Water and Wastewater Fund (CWWF) deadline of March 31, 2018 was extended by the government. As such, the following dates revisions are made to the Rodney Pumping Station upgrades, Tender : Revise Tender Closing Date: 2:00:00 PM on January 17, 2018 Revise Tentative Commencement Date (Contract Award): January 25, 2018 Revise Question Deadline: January 12, 2018 Page SP-1, Clause 2: o Delete A minimum of 60% of the Total Contract Value shall be completed and billed prior to March 31, o Revise the Contract Completion date to: July 31, 2018 Page SP-3, Clause 7: o Revise Clause to: It is agreed by the parties to the Contract that the work shall be Substantially Completed by August 31, If these stipulated milestones are not met, then damages will be sustained by the Municipality, and that it is and will be impracticable and extremely difficult to ascertain and determine the actual damages which the Municipality will sustain in the event of and by reason of such delay, and the parties hereto agree that the Contractor will pay to the Municipality the sum of $1, for each and every calendar day delay in finishing the work beyond the Substantial Completion date noted in the Special Provisions. It is also agreed that this amount is an estimate of the actual damages to the Municipality that will accrue for failure to have the work completed before the required completion date. Page 1 of 3

2 Contractor Questions: 1. Question: When will the Contract be Awarded? See General section above. 2. Question: Please confirm where the hauled sewage for the project shutdowns can be hauled to and confirm the flow rates we are dealing with. There is a sludge lagoon located close to the site, at the Rodney wastewater treatment plant location. The address of the lagoon is Pioneer Line, Rodney, ON. The Contractor may discharge at the lagoon at no charge. The flow rates are as noted in the last paragraph on SP-5. The peak flow rate is 50 L/s, while the average flow rate is 15 L/s. Operations staff can assist the contractor in selecting a period with relatively low flow rates to avoid peak periods. 3. Question: Where is the new service grounded? Can t use the ground on the pole. The service is to be grounded at the main breaker in the building. Coordinate with local hydro and ESA inspector for the final location. 4. Question: Do you want a building ground? See answer to question 3 above. 5. Question: Clarify if you are wanting a 3 phase transformer or single phase? Contract drwgs shows 1 phase 10 kva Provide single phase transformer. Modify drawing E102 as noted below: Delete, Delta Star (Δ- Y) symbol Replace 3ɸ with 1ɸ from transformer TXR-100 description. 3 6. Question: Clarify if you are wanting a 3 phase or single-phase LP? Contract drawings show 3 phase. Provide single phase panel board. Modify drawing E102 as under Delete the middle bus bar from LP-A. Replace 3ɸ with 1ɸ from LP-A description. 7. Question: Is there a ventilation control drawing on how you like the exhaust fan to operate? Refer to drawing M101 and provide wiring accordingly. 8. Question: Specification A says 60dBA at 7M & 50dbA at the property line while 3.01E calls for 45dBA at 10M which corresponds to 48dBA at 7M. The best standard enclosure we can offer with a 60kW genset is 69dBA at 7M. Would this be acceptable? CAT Specsizer; the genset sizing program, recommends a 100kW genset for the loads described in Table A, while limiting the transient voltage dip to 25% & Freq dip to 10%. (Sizing report is attached). Should we quote a 60kW genset as requested? The design and sizing is based on first named supplier of contract specification Alternate suppliers mentioned in spec will need to meet the design requirement and size their products to meet the requirements including upsizing of the generators, if required. Refer to contract specification section 3.02 for the additional requirements should the Contractor supply a unit other than the first named. The enclosure shall provide sound attenuation to achieve 50 dba at property line and 60 dba at 7 meters. Specifications: 1. Specification Section Clause 1.10 E.
