THREE (3) INSTALL BACKUP GENERATOR TERMINAL BUILDING SALISBURY, MARYLAND Delta Project No MARCH 15, 2017 From: To: Delta Airport Consultants, Inc Farrar Court, Suite 100 Richmond, Virginia All Plan Holders of Record This Addendum is hereby made a part of the contract documents and specifications of the above referenced project. All other requirements of the original specification shall remain in effect in their respective order. Acknowledge receipt of this addendum by inserting its number and date in the proposal form. STATEMENT OF WORK 1. REVISE the first sentence of the Introduction to the following: The Salisbury-Ocean City: Wicomico Regional Airport (SBY) issues this Request for Bid for a diesel fueled Standby Generator System REVISE Fuel Supply paragraph to the following: Fuel Supply. The generator shall be supplied by a double wall diesel fuel tank either integrated with the generator or standalone. The fuel tank size shall be sufficient to supply enough fuel for a 72-hour duration. The fuel transfer system shall include all piping (double wall if tank is not integrated), pumps, meters, valves, alarms, etc. as necessary for a complete generator system that meets current code. 3. ADD to the end of Generator Foundation the following sentence: The contactor shall provide a foundation design sealed by a Maryland Registered Professional Engineer. 1

4 ATTACHMENT TWO (2) Addendum 3 SALISBURY, MARYLAND QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS 1. QUESTION: When running conduit from Generator to ATS and Sub Panels, can we utilize the existing barrier wall that has conduit running to the Electrical closet? No. 2. QUESTION: Do we have to trench from new generator pad to ATS and Electrical Sub Panels? Yes, see revised plan sheet A3, part of Addendum QUESTION: Is the Diesel Generator still an option? Generator shall be diesel. Propane is no longer an option or desired. 4. QUESTION: In Addendum No. Two, dated March 3 under the SOW #2 it states the Airport desires not less than a standby rating of 225 KW and #4 of the SOW states NEW Propane Generator 200 KW to 225KW. If you want standby rating of 225 KW with a Propane system, you would have to size a 300 to 350 KW Generator to give you the 225 KW standby. Provide a diesel generator with not less than a 225kW standby rating 5. QUESTION: We want to price either the 225 KW or a 350 KW unit. Should we price a 200 to 225 KW unit? OR the 300 to 350 KW unit to meet the standby requirements? The contractor shall provide a generator that provides not less than a 225 KW standby rating. 6. QUESTION: The revised generator intent section states that the Airport desires a standby rating of 225 KW. Does the Airport still desire 25% growth or have they included it? If it is determined that a larger KW rating is required, would that become an extra? 25% growth is no longer required 7. QUESTION: On drawing A3, two antennae are shown as being permissible to be relocated. 1.) Who would be responsible for the relocation if necessary? 2.) New locations should be approved by Airport? Antenna will be moved by the Airport only if necessary. ATTACHMENT TWO 1

5 ATTACHMENT TWO (2) Addendum 3 8. QUESTION: Addendum #1 states to use location #1 on Drawing A3. Drawing A3 also shows one antenna that cannot be moved. 1.) Would new generator cause any negative interference to that antenna? 2.) Are there any disturbances required by antenna to be considered? There are no concerns with interference nor disturbances with antenna. 9. QUESTION: This generator is described as a stand by generator. Is this generator required to be a life safety generator? No. 10. QUESTION: Original document states generator to have sound attenuated enclosure. 1.) Are there any sound level requirements for enclosure or for emissions? 2.) Is there a list of acceptable manufacturers? 3.) What is minimum run time required? 1. Generator sound level requirements should comply with OSHA standards listed below. However, more stringent sound restrictions may be required to meet the functional requirements of the occupied spaces. The generator location is adjacent to the outdoor baggage handling area. Frequency Band (Hz) Maximum Acceptable Sound Levels (Decibels) Industrial , ,200-2, ,400-4, ,800-10, Emissions standards shall meet all applicable federal, state, and local requirements. 2.
