2 Written Questions and Answers CCK--8 Maxwell Street Security Surveillance Project 2018 No. Question Answer Reviewing the 2800 Specification; 2.5 Talk-A- Phone Tower raises a question. There are two different Talk-A-Phone units referenced via the part numbers shown. There is the ETP-MTE (Emergency Call Station ECO Tower) drawn on ESS-7 and ESS-10 with the ETP-MTE-ARM camera mounting arm and indicated in the spec (2800; 2.5; General A -1), which has not historically been installed on campus. 2800; 2.5; General A -3 lists that the tower is to include VOIP-500 IP Phone, WEBS-BACK hr backup power, and WEBS-CONTACT WEBS contact MNS Software Paging & Diagnostics Package. This eludes to the unit that has been installed on campus, the WEBS MT/R (Wide-Area Emergency Broadcast System {WEBS} Radius Tower). Installed specifically for the mass notification ability. The wide-area emergency broadcast system as is available in the WEBS MT/R unit is not available in the ETP-MTE unit. Also, the WEBS-BACK and WEBS-CONTACT are not available in the ETP-MTE unit. What does the University really want? The MOOG 16 Dome that is being requested is a clear dome. Most all other such domes on campus have a smoked dome. Should the domes for this project stay clear or would the University prefer the tinted, smoked dome? The Talk-A-Phone units specified in this project are different than the units used at other locations on Campus. They do not include the WEBS option. They will have the camera arm included. Product should be: ETP-MT/R OP4 with Camera Arm Option, including VOIP500 Phone For this project the clear dome should be used. 3. Concerned that the selected 16 Moog Superdome (SDP16) will not fit on the TAP tower. If it is decided that the housing will not fit and another is selected, there is concern that the 3 specified Axis cameras will not fit into a smaller housing. 3 Requesting confirmation that there is an existing usable, un-congested conduit pathway(s) extending from manhole U-164 into the C Telecommunications Room within the Marksbury building. For Camera locations 12 & 13, it seems that there are conduits embedded at the utility pole that extend into the selected building structure. However, the blueprint/drawing s FPN # 8 calls for there to be an aerial feed spanning to that building structure. Please clarify which pathway is to be selected for these camera service feeds. There will be a need for hardened POE switches with optical connectivity at the selected optical served far end point locations. Will CNS provide these hardened switches, or will the responsibility rest with the contractor / integrator? If this is the case, will there be a specification for that hardened POE switch published? Are there blueprint/drawings available for the Good Sams property, mainly plotting and/or showing where the Telecommunication Room (0339) is located, along with any internal, above ceiling cable tray deployments? This request is with respect to exterior wall camera locations 1,2 & 7. Regarding question #4, If there are no internal, above ceiling cable pathways extending to telecommunications room from where the external wall penetrations will be made, will the horizontal camera cabling be required to be installed in metallic conduit raceway into the telecommunications room? Yes, there is available conduit space. On sheet ESS-8 Photos 19 and 20 should be labeled Camera Camera pathway is aerial and use existing conduit located on pole adjacent to camera pole. Existing Fiber cable takes the same pathway. POE Switches will be supplied by UKCNS. Cameras 1&2, mounted on Pedway, are terminated in Telcom room 339 in the Medical Office Building which is on the opposite end of the building from PED- Way. Camera 7 will to be terminated in Com Closet B-9. Camera 6 should be terminated in Com Closet C-. See attached Good Sam PDF s. Yes, cabling entering the building from outside would be required to be in conduit to Com Closet, surge protection equipment should be located in the Com Closet.
