31 Preliminary Transportation Demand Management (TDM) Plan An initial meeting between the Arlington Transportation Partners (ATP), DES Staff, and the applicant was held on January 11, 2018 to discuss potential TDM measures. Physical Facilities and Improvements Streetscape Improvements along the N. George Mason Drive, N. Edison Street, and 19 th Street N. Installation of traffic signal and pedestrian infrastructure at new site driveway on N. George Mason Drive. Installation Rapid Flashing Beacon on N. George Mason Drive at 19 th Street N. Provide bicycle parking/storage facilities and showers. Provide preferred parking to car pools and van pools. Transportation information displays in lobbies. Promotions, Services, Policies Designate a TDM coordinator. Distribute new-employee packages. Prior to occupancy engage employees and disseminate information about alternative transportation options. Provide references to Ballston-MU Metro station and local bus routes in promotional materials and advertisements for the campus. Participate in regionally sponsored traffic mitigation promotions. Assist the County in implementing a transit-advertising program. Performance and Monitoring Submit an annual report to the County describing TDM related activities. Conduct transportation and parking performance monitoring at two (2) years, five (5) years which may include, but not limited to driveway counts, mode-slip surveys, and/or parking occupancy counts. 31
