4 Service, Maintenance and Parts. Description The adapter is available for 49 / 2 " rotary tables of the type NATIONAL and belongs to our adapter family. MPCH, split casing bushing, power slips can be used with this adapter. The adapter is inserted directly into the rotary table. This ensures that the casing being run is perfectly aligned with the center of the hole. Adapter can be used together with adapter It is possible to reduce the diameter of 60 / 2 down to 37 / 2 2. Installation Procedure Inspect the top side of the rotary table bore for damaged edges. Chamfer as required to allow the adapter to enter the rotary table freely. Clean and grease the inside surface of the rotary table. 2. Inspect the blocks () and screws with the retaining rings (2) which secure the screws. If the screws are loose, they must be screwed down. The blocks must fit well in the adapter. 3. Inspect the hinges and lifting eyes (3)(4) before the adapter is to be lifted. 4. Screw down the lifting eyes and inspect them before using. 5. Engage lifting sling hooks in the lifting eyes (4) provided in the adapter, lift and lower into the rotary table. 6. After the adapter has been fitted in the rotary table, the lifting eyes have to be removed. This provides proper and safe work with this adapter 4

5 3. Maintenance and Inspection. Clean and remove abrasive material from inside of the adapter. Use a disc grinder to remove any rough surfaces or gall marks. 2. Remove, clean and lubricate the hinge pins after using the adapter. 3. Inspect all edges of the blocks () and their fit in the adapter. 4. Regularly inspect the condition of the hinge pins (crack or other wear) 5. The adapter should be well cleaned and painted before it will be stored. 5
