4 Flashings and accessories From ngle bracket to Z-profile Standard flashings Flashings which are frequently used for structures are offered as standard flashings. Their geometry, material thickness and coating which are adapted to suit the Hoesch building elements are represented in this brochure. Standard flashings may be ordered simply by indicating their part number, without any need for a sketch. In a particular case items such as angles may be required. Unless otherwise stated in the specification, standard flashings have a length of * Forms for stretches can be downloaded and printed from our website Customised flashings Flashings produced according to the customer s specification are customised flashings. These special flashings are ordered by supplying a sketch. This sketch should contain all data relating to dimensions, angles and the nature of the coating. Dimensions should always be internal dimensions. The maximum length that can be produced is 8000.* For ion possibilities and supply, delivery dates, coatings, colours, minimum quantities and prices, please contact us. Base material This is steel sheet as per DIN EN This material is available with the following processing properties: steel sheet with a Z 275 coating, zinc layer 275 g/m² on both sides steel sheet with GLFN Z 255 coating, layer thickness 255 g/m² on both sides (95 % Zn, 5 % l) steel sheet with GLVLUME Z 185 coating, layer thickness 185 g/m² on both sides (55 % l, 43.4 % Zn, 1.6 % Si) steel sheet with ZM EcoProtect 130 coating, layer thickness 130 g/m² on both sides (>98 % Zn, 1 % Mg) 0.75 unless otherwise specified for logistic, structural or constructional reasons. Using the standard material thickness, overlapping in the joint area is made easier. Standard overall length 6000 unless otherwise specified for a flashing (max ). This also applies to cover and corner profiles which are cut to length and made ready to fit on site. Coatings When ordering, please indicate surface finish of sides and B respectively. The side is always the visible side. Higher corrosion protection categories can be achieved depending on the chosen coating. Flashings can also be supplied from coil coated material or individually printed. 4

For individual piece painting, RL colour shades or special colours are available; please contact us for information on colours available. The coating system chosen for the visible side of flashings must correspond to that of the elements for roof and wall, if the same colour is used. In the case of special colours, it may be necessary to use the same batch. Please take this into account when placing your order. Installation In normal industrial construction flashings can be fitted in such a way that they overlap. ny return folds and folded edges of flashings must be notched on site. Overlapping joints must be sealed during installation using amino hardening sealants with a silicone base. Dimensions and tolerances ll dimensions of our standard flashings are internal dimensions unless otherwise indicated on the drawings. The cross sectional tolerances are ± 2 (up to 2 material thickness). Load-bearing structural flashings are made from at least S280GD. The thickness tolerances correspond to those of the base material, i.e. to DIN EN
