Warranty The tandard warranty contained in S&C tandard condition of ale, a et forth in Price Sheet 150, i applicable to the S&C Serie 2000 Circuit-Switcher covered in thi intruction heet, except that the firt paragraph of aid warranty i replaced by the following: (1) General: Seller warrant to purchaer for a period of 5 year from the date of hipment that the equipment delivered will be of the kind and quality pecified in the contract decription and will be free of defect of workmanhip and material. Should any failure to conform to thi warranty appear under proper and normal ue within five year after the date of hipment the eller agree, upon prompt notification thereof and confirmation that the equipment ha been tored, intalled, operated, inpected, and maintained in accordance with recommendation of the eller and tandard indutry practice, to correct the nonconformity either by repairing any damaged or defective part of the equipment or (at eller option) by hipment of neceary replacement part. 4 S&C Serie 2000 Circuit-Switcher Outdoor Tranmiion (69 kv through 230 kv) GENERAL Interrupter Serie 2000 Circuit-Switcher employ ingle-gap SF 6 puffer-type interrupter deigned to cloe the circuit in 6 cycle, interrupt the circuit in 6 cycle, and maintain rated dielectric trength when open. Thee dual-function interrupter are factory-filled to full preure under controlled condition and then permanently ealed. Field filling i neither neceary nor poible, thu eliminating the rik of contaminating the interrupting medium. Operator The interrupter are driven by a ingle tored-energy mechanim located at ground level in a 48-volt dc, 125-volt dc, or 115-volt 60-hertz operator furnihed with the Circuit-Switcher. Refer to the STANDARD FEATURES table on page 6, and alo Figure 15 and 17. Thi operator include the following feature: Trip and cloe puh button located inide operator encloure. Manual trip lever, for tripping interrupter in the event control voltage ha been lot. Manual charging handle, for opening diconnect after interrupter have been manually tripped open in the event control voltage ha been lot. Charged and dicharged indicator for tored-energy mechanim. Non-reet electric operation counter. Eight nonadjutable ingle-pole double-throw auxiliary-witch contact which follow the interrupter. Weatherproof, dutproof encloure. Decoupling mechanim which allow decoupling and locking of diconnect-blade power train in the open poition, permitting operational checkout of interrupter, tored-energy mechanim, and relaying equipment without cloing the high-voltage circuit. Two individually adjutable auxiliary-witch contact which follow the diconnect-blade power train and operator when coupled, operator only when decoupled. The mechanim in the operator ha an intantaneou trip-free capability: hould the Serie 2000 Circuit- Switcher be inadvertently cloed into a fault ened by Model 2010 With Horizontal Interrupter and Vertical-Break Power-Operated Diconnect uer-furnihed relaying, the mechanim will trip immediately. To accomplih trip-free operation, the mechanim utilize two pring aemblie: one for cloing, one for opening. Both pring are charged by the operator motor before the Serie 2000 Circuit-Switcher can be cloed. Recharging time after a trip operation i approximately 5 econd for Circuit-Switcher rated 69 kv through 138 kv, and approximately 10 econd for Circuit-Switcher rated 161 kv and 230 kv. Power Train The operator directly drive the interrupter open and cloed through a imple high-peed power train leading from the top of the operator, through a horizontal interphae linkage encloed in a teel-heathed box-type bae, to reciprocating-action inulated operating rod which pa through the center of inulating upport column. A tranfer linkage at the top of each inulating upport column convert the vertical reciprocating motion of the operating rod into horizontal reciprocating motion, to drive the interrupter. The operator alo drive the diconnect open and cloed through a low-peed power train which rotate the inulating upport column. The diconnect on model rated 69 kv through 138 kv i capable of opening and cloing without heitation under ³ ₄-inch ice formation. The diconnect on model rated 161 kv and 230 kv i capable of opening without heitation under ³ ₄-inch ice formation and of cloing without heitation under ¹ ₂-inch ice formation. A decoupling mechanim allow decoupling and locking of the diconnect-blade power train in the open poition, permitting operational checkout of the interrupter, the tored-energy mechanim, and the relaying equipment without cloing the high-voltage circuit. Permanently lubricated bearing are ued throughout both the high-peed and low-peed power train. The inulating upport column are filled with a lubricated dielectric filler which prevent contamination from affecting the dielectric integrity of the column or the inulated operating rod. An aerator i utilized at the upper end of each inulating upport column to eliminate water being pumped-in due to preure differential caued by temperature cycling. Page 4 of 26

Uual Operating Condition Serie 2000 Circuit-Switcher will perform a intended at temperature within the range of 40ºC to +40ºC ( 30ºC to +40ºC for 161-kV and 230-kV model), at altitude of up to 5000 feet, and at wind loading of up to 80 mile per hour. Further, Serie 2000 Circuit-Switcher, when intalled with the recommended S&C anchor bolt and with flexible-conductor connection at all ix terminal pad, are capable of withtanding eimic loading of 0.2 g ground acceleration in any direction, a well a performing a intended during uch loading and afterward. For application at temperature not within the pecified range, at higher altitude, at higher wind loading, or where higher eimic withtand capabilitie are required, refer to the nearet S&C Sale Office. Inpection Schedule and Procedure To aure Serie 2000 Circuit-Switcher continued proper performance, it hould be inpected in accordance with S&C recommended chedule and procedure contained in S&C Intruction Sheet Catalog Number Decription The following table lit the baic catalog number and rating of Model 2010 Serie 2000 Circuit-Switcher. 9 BEFORE STARTING INSTALLATION Checking the Shipment An S&C catalog drawing will be found in a water-reitant envelope attached to the platic bubble-wrap around one of the inulating upport column. Study thi drawing carefully and check the bill of material to verify that all part are at hand. The Model 2010 Serie 2000 Circuit-Switcher hipment hould include the following item, a hown in Figure 2 and 5: 1. Three pole-unit, each coniting of an interrupter, integral diconnect blade, inulating upport column, upport inulator, and channel bae all factoryaembled and adjuted. 2. A ingle cro bae, encloing the high-peed interphae power train which drive the interrupter. 3. The appropriate number of mounting pedetal, complete with upport arm and channel. A ingle pedetal i ued for Circuit-Switcher rated 69 kv (with 48- inch phae pacing); a et of two pedetal i ued for Circuit-Switcher rated 69 kv (with 84-inch phae pacing), 115 kv, and 138 kv; and a et of three pedetal i ued for Circuit-Switcher rated 161 kv and 230 kv. 4. A Serie 2000 Circuit-Switcher Operator. 5. A low-peed interphae power train which drive the diconnect blade. 6. DO NOT INTERMIX COMPONENTS FROM DIFFERENT INSTALLATIONS Serie 2000 Circuit-Switcher are completely factory-aembled and thoroughly teted. To peed intallation and maintain proper adjutment of the Circuit-Switcher and it operator, it i imperative that component belonging to a pecific Circuit- Switcher intallation not be intermixed with component belonging to a different intallation. For thi reaon, each Serie 2000 Circuit-Switcher i erially numbered. Thi erial number appear on the individual pole-unit, the cro bae, the mounting pedetal, and the operator. It i further important that component from different intallation not be intermixed in that S&C maintain an hitorical record by erial number of every Circuit-Switcher produced. Thi record lit information pertinent to each intallation, uch a application, date of hipment, and any ervice performed by S&C field ervice pecialit. Thi record i invaluable when quetion arie relative to modification or replacement. Pleae complete and mail the Circuit-Switcher regitration card (encloed in a vinyl envelope located inide the operator) after the Circuit- Switcher ha been intalled. The information requeted on thi card i vital to enure prompt notification in the event field modification are needed. Storage If the Circuit-Switcher mut be tored before intallation, keep it in a clean, dry, corroion-free area to protect it from damage. If toring outide or in a non-climate controlled area, connect control power to the pace heater inide the Circuit-Switcher Operator per wiring diagram. Inpect the Circuit-Switcher regularly when tored for prolonged period. NOTICE The Serie 2000 Circuit-Switcher Operator i equipped with a pace heater that mut be energized during torage to prevent condenation and corroion within the operator encloure. Page 9 of 26

BOLTED AND PINNED CONNECTIONS A typical bolted connection for field aembly require a flat waher under the cap crew and one under the nut. In intance where elf-locking hex nut are pecified, it i eential that the thread of the aociated cap crew be lubricated with a general-purpoe greae, to facilitate tightening. All pin ued in the field aembly hould alo be lubricated to facilitate inertion. Model 2010 With Horizontal Interrupter and Vertical-Break Power-Operated Diconnect Step 1 Cut the teel trap that bind the mounting pedetal to the cro bae, the trap that bind the container of micellaneou operating-mechanim component and hardware, and the trap that bind the pole-unit. Alo remove the wood bracing between the pole-unit terminal pad. See Figure 2. For Circuit-Switcher rated 161 kv and 230 kv: Remove the lifting angle attached to the pole-unit channel bae; retain thee lifting angle and aociated hardware for re-ue in Step 13. 11 INSTALLATION Continued Step 2 Intall the mounting pedetal. See Figure 3. Make certain that the grounding pad on each mounting pedetal i properly poitioned for thi particular intallation. Adjut the lower et of anchor-bolt nut at each pedetal to generally plumb and level the pedetal. The upper et of anchor-bolt nut hould be only looely attached at thi time. Two nut and two flat waher provide leveling mean Pedetal Step 3 Attach four uitable lifting ling to the cro bae. See Figure 4. Unbolt the bae from the hipping kid and lift the bae atop the mounting pedetal, a hown on the catalog drawing. Avoid udden tart and top. Verify that the witch-poition indicator on the bae i viible on the deired ide (thi i alo the ide on which the operator door will open). Step 4 Looely bolt the cro bae to the mounting pedetal uing the ⁵ ₈ 11 2¹ ₄ hex-head galvanized teel cap crew, flat waher, and elf-locking hex nut furnihed. Then uing a level verify that the cro bae i horizontal, both lengthwie and ide-to-ide; adjut the lower et of anchor-bolt nut at the pedetal to achieve thi condition Concrete pad Anchor bolt Step 5 Securely bolt the cro bae to the mounting pedetal. Shim are furnihed and hould be intalled a neceary between the cro bae and the mounting pedetal, to compenate for any irregularitie greater than ¹ ₈ inch between the mating urface. Step 6 Check the lower et of anchor-bolt nut at each mounting pedetal to verify that all nut are in contact with the bottom of the pedetal. Hand-tighten thee anchor-bolt nut a neceary. Remove the plate and place them and their hardware aide on a clean urface. Alo remove the ³ ₄-inch tainle-teel pin and cotter pin from the interphae drive lever encloed in the cro bae. See Figure 10. Retain thee pin for re-ue in Step 17. Step 8 Wrap a lifting ling around the tored-energy houing of the operator, a hown in Figure 5 (left). Now carefully raie the operator to the upright poition o that it ret on it bae kid, a hown in Figure 5 (right). Do not remove the lifting ling around the tored-energy houing, a the operator i top-heavy and mut be adequately upported until it i attached to the Circuit-Switcher. Model 2010 With Horizontal Interrupter and Vertical-Break Power-Operated Diconnect Remove the kid and bracing which run the length of the operator, tored-energy houing, and operator upport tube. Alo remove the protective cover atop the operator upport tube, a well a the protective cover on the operator encloure louver. Step 9 Repoition the lifting ling around the front of the toredenergy houing and wrap another lifting ling around the back of the tored-energy houing, a hown in Figure 6. Make certain that the operator door face the ame way a the witch-poition indicator on the cro bae. Then carefully hoit the operator into place. Be careful not to damage the uni-ball coupling on the operator connecting link during hoiting and attachment of the operator. Attach the operator upport tube mounting plate to the underide of the cro bae uing four ¹ ₂ 13 1¹ ₄ hexhead galvanized teel cap crew, flat waher, and elflocking hex nut. 13 INSTALLATION Continued Step 10 Attach the operator upport angle to the appropriate mounting pedetal uing two ⁵ ₈ hex-head galvanized teel cap crew, four flat waher, and two elflocking hex nut furnihed. Refer to the catalog drawing and Figure 6. Then attach the operator upport plate to the angle on the ide of the operator encloure and to the operator upport angle on the mounting pedetal uing four ¹ ₂ 13 1¹ ₂ hex-head galvanized teel cap crew, flat waher, and elf-locking hex nut furnihed. Securely tighten the crew. See Figure 1 and 6. On Circuit- Switcher utilizing two or three mounting pedetal, inert the hole plug furnihed into all unued hole in the pedetal. Step 11 Attach the upport arm to the mounting pedetal a hown on the catalog drawing, uing ⁵ ₈ 11 1¹ ₂ hexhead galvanized teel cap crew and flat waher furnihed. The crew hould only be looely attached at thi time. Make certain that the rigging doe not tre the interrupter, tranition box, or diconnect. Unbolt the bae from the kid. Raie the pole-unit a few feet, then remove Model 2010 With Horizontal Interrupter and Vertical-Break Power-Operated Diconnect the two ¹ ₂ 13 1³ ₄ hex-head galvanized teel cap crew, flat waher, and hex nut which attach the hipping bracket to the bottom of the pole-unit channel bae. Note: The inulated operating rod i under preure; removal of the two crew may reult in the operating rod quickly moving down approximately ³ ₈ inch. Remove the ¹ ₂-inch ilicon-bronze pin and cotter pin from the inulated operating rod and retain thee for re-ue in Step 16(d). Dicard the hipping bracket and aociated hardware. Remove the protective cover on the cro bae at the pole-unit mounting poition. See Figure 4. Now continue to raie the pole-unit to it mounting poition at the center of the cro bae, a hown on the catalog drawing. Carefully guide the pole-unit to avoid damaging the inulated operating rod. Do not attempt to lift the pole-unit by the interrupter or diconnect. If neceary, looen the cap crew ued to attach the outboard pole-unit channel bae to the cro bae, interrupter-end upport arm channel aembly, and diconnect-end upport arm angle, and hift the pole-unit in order to level the channel aembly and upport arm angle. See Figure 8 (left). Remove the cover and place it and the hardware on a clean urface. (b) Check that the tranition lever i in the open poition. The lever hould be turned fully counterclockwie. See Figure 8 (right). If the lever i not in the open poition, complete the following tep: Ç CAUTION Keep finger clear of the tranition lever travel. The tranition lever i under preure and could quickly rotate counterclockwie. Injury to the finger could reult. Carefully turn the tranition lever to thi poition. If the tranition lever cannot be freely rotated to it fully counterclockwie poition, mialignment of the interphae drive i occurring in the cro bae. Temporarily wing the inulated operating rod end link up, away from the interphae drive linkage lever, and again try Model 2010 With Horizontal Interrupter and Vertical-Break Power-Operated Diconnect rotating the tranition lever to it fully counterclockwie poition; ee Figure 9. (c) Remove the ³ ₈-inch tainle-teel connecting pin ued to attach the tranition lever to the operating rod link. See Figure 8 (right). The pin i locked in place by a retainer; lift and turn the retainer to remove the pin. Keep the pin for re-ue in Step 16(e). (d) Attach the inulated operating rod end link to the interphae drive linkage lever in the cro bae, uing the ¹ ₂-inch ilicon-bronze pin and cotter pin retained from Step 13; ee Figure 9. The inulated operating rod may be moved up or down, a required, to make the connection. (e) Replace the ³ ₈-inch tainle-teel connecting pin retained from Step 16(c). See Figure 8 (right). Connect the factory-adjuted interphae pipe aembly to the center pole-unit inulating upport column drive lever uing a ¹ ₂-inch tainle-teel pin, two galvanized teel pacer, and two tainle-teel X waher furnihed. See Figure 11. Then attach the interphae pipe aembly to the two outboard pole-unit inulating upport column drive lever. In the event that the interphae pipe aembly cannot be connected to an outboard pole-unit inulating upport column drive lever, looen the appropriate locknut at the adjutable coupling and rotate the affected interphae pipe ection o that the connection can be made; then tighten the locknut. See Figure 11. Verify, at each outboard pole-unit inulating upport column, that the clearance between the rotating-pindle cloed-top bolt and the bumper i ¹ ₁₆ inch or le. See Figure 12 (left). (At the center pole-unit inulating upport column, the cloed-top bolt mut touch the bumper.) In the event that the clearance between the cloed-top bolt and the bumper exceed ¹ ₁₆ inch at either outboard poleunit inulating upport column, remove the pin at the appropriate inulating upport column drive lever, looen the appropriate locknut at the adjutable coupling, and rotate the affected interphae pipe ection o that the aforementioned clearance i attained. Then replaced the pin and tighten the locknut. See Figure 11. Do not adjut the cloed-top bolt. Step 20 Attach the clevi end of the interphae drive link to the longer of the bell-crank arm on the cro bae, uing a ¹ ₂inch tainle-teel pin and cotter pin furnihed. See Figure 11. Step 21 Attach the C -haped clevi at the lower end of the vertical operating-pipe aembly to the take-off haft on the rear of the operator, uing a ⁵ ₈-inch tainle-teel pin and tainle-teel X waher furnihed. See Figure 11 (inet). Then attach the traight clevi at the upper end of the vertical operating-pipe aembly to the horter of the bellcrank arm on the cro bae, uing a ⁵ ₈-inch tainleteel pin and cotter pin furnihed. See Figure 11. If neceary, looen the locknut at the top and bottom of the vertical operating pipe and rotate the pipe o that the connection can be made; then tighten the locknut. Refer to Figure 16. (a) Open the acce hutter and place the manual charging handle on the manual charging haft. (b) Rotate the haft, clockwie only, jut to the point at which the diconnect-blade tongue contact clear their repective jaw-contact finger. See Figure 13. With the diconnect blade maintained in the poition hown in Figure 13, check each blade to verify that it centerline ha not hifted left or right by more than ¹ ₄ inch a meaured to the centerline of it repective jaw contact. If any blade centerline ha hifted by more than ¹ ₄ inch, looen the leveling-crew locknut located under the aociated jaw-contact upport inulator. See Figure 14. Adjut the locknut a neceary to hift the jaw-contact centerline to correpond to that of the blade centerline, ±¹ ₄ inch. Then tighten the locknut. To avoid changing the effective height of the upport inulator, do not adjut more than three of the four et of locknut. (c) Continue to rotate the haft, clockwie only, until a firm reitance i felt. At thi point, the diconnect blade hould be open pat 90 degree. If the diconnect blade are not open pat 90 degree, looen the locknut at the top and bottom of the vertical operating pipe and rotate the pipe clockwie (a viewed from the top) to increae blade travel; then tighten the locknut. Now verify, at each pole-unit inulating upport column, that the rotating-pindle open-top bolt doe not touch the bumper. See Figure 12 (right). If any open-top bolt doe touch the bumper, looen the locknut at the top and bottom of the vertical operating pipe and rotate the pipe counterclockwie (a viewed from the top) to decreae blade travel; then tighten the locknut. Do not adjut the open-top bolt. (d) Remove the manual charging handle from the manual charging haft. Step 23 Attach the high-voltage conductor to their repective Circuit-Switcher terminal pad uing flexible-conductor connection. Oberve the terminal-pad loading limit pecified on the catalog drawing. Ç DANGER Conductor mut be de-energized and grounded in accordance with tandard ytem operating practice. Failure to do o can reult in eriou injury or death. Model 2010 With Horizontal Interrupter and Vertical-Break Power-Operated Diconnect Ue the following procedure for attachment: (a) Thoroughly wire-bruh the current-tranfer urface of each connector and immediately apply a liberal coating of Penetrox A (available from Burndy Corporation) or other uitable aluminum connector compound to the bruhed urface. (b) Wire-bruh each Circuit-Switcher terminal pad and apply a coating of Penetrox A. Then bolt the connector to the terminal pad. (c) Prepare the conductor uing etablihed procedure and clamp them in their repective connector. Step 24 Remove the container from each interrupter a follow: (a) Remove and dicard the ³ ₈ 16 zinc-plated errated hex nut which run the length of the container. (b) Remove and dicard the ³ ₈ 16 ⁷ ₈ and two ³ ₈ 16 1 zinc-plated hex-head cap crew and flat waher which attach the upper container-half to the coupling end cating of the interrupter. Alo remove and dicard the ³ ₈ 16 ⁷ ₈ and two ³ ₈ 16 1 zincplated hex-head cap crew and flat waher which attach the upper container-half to the indicator end cating of the interrupter. The upper container-half can now be removed and dicarded lotted hole are provided o that a rope or lifting ling can be attached and the container-half more conveniently lowered to the ground. (d) Now remove and dicard the ³ ₈ 16 ⁷ ₈ hex-head cap crew and flat waher which attach the lower container-half to the coupling end cating of the interrupter, and the ³ ₈ 16 ⁷ ₈ hex-head cap crew and flat waher which attach the lower container-half to the indicator end cating of the interrupter. Then dicard thi container-half. (e) Finally, remove and dicard the foam-core inner liner wrapped around the interrupter. Now remove the hield for the preure-relief device and low-ga-preure indicator. Step 25 Remove and dicard the platic bubble-wrap from each inulating upport column. Step 26 Perform the following et-up procedure on the operator. See Figure 15. (a) To avoid accidentally energizing the operator after the external connection have been completed, open the control-ource diconnect witch. (b) Looen the clamp on the inide of the ide acce door, open the ide acce door, and remove the blocking from the motor contactor. (c) Mark the conduit-entrance location for the control-circuit wiring on the conduit entrance plate in the bottom of the operator encloure. Then remove the plate and cut out the neceary opening. Apply the ealing compound furnihed, replace the plate, and make up the entrance fitting. Verify that the entrance fitting are properly ealed to prevent water ingre. (d) Connect the external control-circuit wiring (including the pace-heater ource lead) to the terminal block at the bottom of the encloure, in accordance with the wiring diagram furnihed. Oberve correct polarity on dc-control-voltage model. Trip-circuit conductor and motor-and-cloing circuit conductor mut be adequately ized for the ampacitie indicated on the wiring diagram. Step 28 Replace the acce cover on the ide of each tranition box and ecurely tighten the aociated ⁵ ₁₆ 18 ³ ₄ hexhead tainle-teel cap crew. Step 29 Replace the bottom plate to the underide of the cro bae and ecurely tighten the aociated ¹ ₂ 13 1¹ ₄ galvanized teel cap crew, flat waher, and nut. For Circuit-Switcher rated 161 kv and 230 kv: Attach the ix 13 3¹ ₄ adjutment plate to the underide of the cro bae. Thee plate are ued to cover mall gap between the bottom plate, the operator upport tube mounting plate, and the mounting pedetal. Step 30 Inert the motor-and-cloing circuit fueholder. Then cloe the control-ource diconnect witch. Step 31 Pre the CLOSE n puh button. The motor-driven cam in the tored-energy mechanim will immediately tart retracting. Simultaneouly, the take-off haft at the rear of the operator houing will turn to drive the interphae pipe Model 2010 With Horizontal Interrupter and Vertical-Break Power-Operated Diconnect aembly, cloing the diconnect. When the diconnect ha completely cloed, the cloing latch will releae, dicharging the cloing pring. Thi action cloe the interrupter. The witch-poition indicator on the cro bae will move to the CLOSED poition. Further, if the poition-indicating lamp option ha been pecified, the red lamp will light. Step 32 Verify, at the center pole-unit inulating upport column, that the rotating-pindle cloed-top bolt touche the bumper. See Figure 12 (left). In the event that the cloedtop bolt i not touching the bumper, looen the locknut at the top and bottom of the vertical operating pipe and turn the pipe counterclockwie (a viewed from the top) to increae blade travel; then tighten the locknut. Do not adjut the cloed-top bolt. Step 33 Verify, at each outboard pole-unit inulating upport column, that the clearance between the rotating-pindle cloed-top bolt and the bumper doe not exceed ¹ ₁₆ inch. See Figure 12 (left). In the event that the clearance between the cloed-top bolt and the bumper exceed ¹ ₁₆ inch at either outboard pole-unit inulating upport column, remove the pin at the appropriate inulating upport column drive lever, looen the appropriate locknut at the adjutable coupling, and rotate the affected interphae pipe ection o that the aforementioned clearance i obtained. Then replace the pin and tighten the locknut. See Figure 11. Do not adjut the cloed-top bolt. Step 34 When the Circuit-Switcher i ready to be placed in ervice, the motor-and-cloing circuit fue can at the uer option be replaced with the lug furnihed. Thi practice i recommended for increaed reliability becaue low-voltage fue can be damaged by the repeated inruh current experienced during normal Circuit-Switcher opening and cloing operation and can thu neak out, leaving the Circuit-Switcher inoperable. Before replacing thee fue with lug, make certain that the control-ource battery i adequately protected to prevent dicharge, uing fue or circuit breaker located at the battery bu. Step 35 Pleae complete and mail the Circuit-Switcher regitration card! The information requeted on thi card i vital to enure prompt notification in the event field modification are needed. n Trip and cloe puh button are not included on operator pecified with Catalog Number Suffix -J. In uch intance, momentarily jumper terminal 1 and 3 to cloe the Circuit-Switcher.

Thi action trip the interrupter and force the opening and cloing piton in the mechanim downward, a denoted by movement of the indicator to the DISCHARGED window. The witch-poition indicator on the cro bae will move to the OPEN poition. Further, if the poition-indicating lamp option (Catalog Number Suffix -M ) ha been pecified, the green lamp will light. The motor-driven cam in the tored-energy mechanim will immediately tart riing, thereby charging both the opening and cloing pring; when the opening pring latche, the indicator will again be viible at the CHARGED window. Simultaneouly, the take-off haft at the rear of the operator houing will turn to drive the interphae pipe aembly, opening the diconnect. To cloe the Circuit-Switcher, pre the CLOSE puh button.f The motor-driven cam in the tored-energy mechanim will immediately tart retracting. Simultaneouly, the take-off haft at the rear of the operator houing will turn to drive the interphae pipe aembly, cloing the diconnect. The Circuit-Switcher may alo be electrically operated via remotely located control witche. No intruction are included for uch operation becaue control cheme vary with different intallation. 25 OPERATION Continued tripped, uing the manual charging handle furnihed. Refer to Figure 16. Ue the following procedure: (a) Open the acce hutter and place the manual charging handle on the manual operating haft. (b) Rotate the haft, clockwie only, until the diconnect open fully and the mechanim reache it open top. Manual cloing of the Circuit-Switcher cannot be performed. Decoupling The diconnect-blade power train may be decoupled in the open poition, permitting the interrupter to be tripped and cloed for inpection purpoe. To decouple, open the Circuit-Switcher electrically or manually. Then diengage the decoupling handle on the rear of the operator by pivoting it outward. See Figure 17 (bottom). In addition, the interrupter may now be cloed and re-tripped a deired, either electrically or manually. To recouple, open the Circuit-Switcher electrically or manually. Then engage the decoupling handle on the rear of the operator by pivoting it inward. See Figure 17 (top). The diconnect-lade power train may now be padlocked coupled. Adjuting Auxiliary-Switch Contact Two individually adjutable auxiliary-witch contact are furnihed in the operator. Thee contact follow the poition of the diconnect-blade power train and operator when the power train i coupled, and the poition of the operator when the power train i decoupled. Model 2010 With Horizontal Interrupter and Vertical-Break Power-Operated Diconnect Each auxiliary-witch contact i operated by a camactuated roller. A contact i cloed if it roller i diengaged from a cam and, converely, a contact i open if it roller i engaged by a cam. The cam are individually adjutable in 4.5-degree increment. Adjutment of the cam i accomplihed a follow: (a) Puh the cam toward it adjacent pring until the cam i eparated from the teeth of the inner gear. See Figure 18.
