Keep all tock part from your exiting ytem a ome component may be neceary to intall your new Yohimura exhaut depending on the application. Read through all intruction before beginning intallation. Exhaut ytem can be extremely hot. Let motorcycle cool down before beginning intallation. 2 -TOOLS REQUIRED- Metric Socket Set Combination Wrench Set Torque Wrench Metric Allen Wrench Set Power Drill 3 / 64 Drill Bit. Looen the tock exhaut clamp. -REMOVAL- 2. While ecurely upporting the muffler, remove muffler mount bolt and lide tock muffler toward the rear of the bike off of the tock header. NOTE: Stock exhaut gaket will not be ued with the Yohimura Slip-On exhaut ytem. -INSTALLATION-. Slide provided exhaut clamp over Yohimura tailpipe. 2. Intall rubber heathield onto muffler clamp. 3. Slide clamp over Yohimura muffler. 4. Slide Yohimura muffler aembly over tock header outlet. 5. Align muffler clamp to tock muffler mount and intall uing tock bolt, tock waher, and tock nut. NOTE: Muffler clamp mount to the inide of the muffler mount. 6. Standing at the back of the motorcycle, check for proper alignment of the muffler. Adjut if neceary. NOTE : To adjut fitment, it may be neceary to rotate the tailpipe of the muffler independently until proper alignment of the muffler i achieved. NOTE 2 : We will be intalling a ecuring rivet in the tailpipe to prevent the tailpipe from rotating while the motorcycle i in operation. 7. Torque muffler mount bolt to 7 ft-lb (23 Nm, 2.3 kg-m). 8. Drill a 3 / 64 hole through the outlet of the tock header uing the ecuring hole located near the Yohimura tailpipe inlet a your guide. CAUTION: Alway wear eye protection when uing any power tool. 3 9. Inert ecuring rivet into drilled hole and lide exhaut clamp over rivet. 0. Torque exhaut clamp to 0 ft-lb (3.5 Nm,.3 kg-m).. Before tarting motorcycle, check for proper clearance between new exhaut ytem and rear upenion (i.e. tire, wing-arm, brake, rear hock, engine, and etc.) If any problem i found, pleae carefully follow through the intallation tep again. If problem till perit, pleae call Yohimura Tech Department at (800) / in CA (909) It i recommended that the muffler and tailpipe be wiped down with rubbing alcohol to remove oil and fingerprint. Thi will help prevent tarnihing of the finih after the exhaut i heated up. NOTE: After tarting motorcycle, it i normal for new exhaut ytem and muffler to emit moke until oil reidue burn off.
