The Basic RiderCurse License Waiver and the Basic RiderCurse 2 License Waiver include an nline cmpnent that must be cmpleted befre yu cme t campus t take the classrm and riding prtin. The MSF Basic ecurse is included with yur registratin and must be cmpleted within 30 days f yur n campus class. If yu have cmpleted the e-curse mre than 30 days befre the class start date, yu must re-take it. Keep in mind the e-curse takes abut 3 hurs t cmplete hwever, yu can stp and start and wrk at yur wn pace. Please be sure t lg ut f the curse and clse yur brwser if yu need t stp and resume later. Several students have reprted issues with curse prgress when keeping the brwser pen fr an extended perid f time. T access the MSF Basic ecurse yu will need a username and passwrd frm the cllege. If yu are a brand new student these credentials will be generated and sent t the permanent address n file after yu enrll in the curse withur ffice. If yu have any previus relatinship with the Cllege and d nt have yur credentials please cntact ur ffice t have yur passwrd reset and infrmatin mailed t yur permanent address. 9 MOTORCYCLE RIDER COURSES 2018 Curse Infrmatin: Basic RiderCurse fr License Waiver (page 1 f 2) Students: Meet Instructr in Administratin Building, Rm 105. (Nrth Rad entrance t campus 2 nd building n the right). Curse Participant Eligibility: Any individual, 16 years f age r lder, wh wishes t participate in a NYSMSP (New Yrk State Mtrcyclist Safety Prgram), and receive the rad test waiver upn successful cmpletin f the Basic RiderCurse (MSF BRC), must pssess a valid NYS driver s license OR a valid NYS DMV issued mtrcycle driver s license. Prerequisite: Students must be able t ride a bicycle. Any persn yunger than 18 years must als have the written permissin fhis/her parent r legal guardian. (See Item 3 n reverse under Bring with yu.) T qualify fr the mtrcycle rad test waiver, the student must hld a current and valid New Yrk State driver s license and will be required t btain a mtrcycle learner s permit prir tusing the cmpletin card fr endrsement. A permit is n lnger required t participate in the curse. Graduated licensing laws apply fr the mtrcycle endrsement fr persns under age 18. Per NYS DMV Regulatin: 1. Water and Snacks Bring water (8 z. water fr each hur f class) and snacks. Small clers wrk great. A wet clth t cl yur neck and face. Lunch break: deli nearby r yur wn lunch at the picnic table. This is a physically active day. Yu will need t replenish fluids and energy. YOU MUST BE ON TIME: Plan t arrive 30 minutes befre class start times. Late arrivals will be cunseled ut and frfeit all fees. Please plan fr traffic delays, finding the rm etc. NOTE: The BRC riding exercises are physically demanding. Yu will be required t push the mtrcycle while straddling it. All curses require physical stamina, mtr crdinatin and mental alertness. Sme prescriptin medicatin and ver the cunter medicatins may affect yur alertness r balance. Check with yur MD r pharmacist. 13 MOTORCYCLE RIDER COURSE 2018 Curse Infrmatin: 3 wheel Basic Rider Curse fr License Waiver (page 1 f 2) Successful cmpletin f this curse will earn yu a waiver fr a 3 wheel nly mtrcycle license (yu will be restricted t driving three-wheelers nly) If yu want t drive a 2 wheel mtrcycle yu have t take the Basic Rider Curse.
