3 Jan/08/2019 Carrt River Fire and Rescue Reprt 2019 budget has been cmpleted waiting n qutes fr equipment t be purchased in 2019 Sizing fr tw sets f new bunker gear will be n Thursday Jan/10/2019. Cnstructin within the seacans is 90% cmplete fr training in the spring. Air cmpressr air reprt has cme back and has passed all tests. Radis in E421 have been fixed and are back in service. First Respnder curse is bked fr Jan and Feb Any ne that is interested in attending will need t register within the next week. Met with the Fire Chief f Arbrfield n Jan/07. Meeting with Premier Hrticulture Rep n Jan/09. The deadline fr nminatins is February 20 th and frms can be fund at the Twn Office. - Prgrams: Vlleyball and Pickle ball cntinue, pickleball has pened t tw nights a week. Wrking with Shirley Zeller t ffer a new yga class fr winter/spring Indr Archery with CROC cntinues, the next date is January 15, Indr Walking cntinues Mndays, Wednesdays & Fridays at 10am at the Cmmunity Hall. Public Skate & Shinny runs Saturdays 5-6pm and Sundays 1-3pm, we encurage peple t purchase seasn skate passes frm the Rec Office. Fun, Fitness Challenge has begun, we encurage peple t recrd minutes f physical activity frm January 1 March 31, 2019 and turn their ttal int the Rec Bard by April 8 th. If ur cmmunity can accumulate 200,000 minutes (r mre) we will have access t funds raised frm the Tri-Unity Challenge summer event. These funds supprt fitness within ur cmmunity. Crkicurl has had delays due the mild temperatures and is still underway. 5 Carrt River Ecnmic Develpment Executive Cmmittee Meeting January begins with the exit f 1 Bard member and the intrductin f 2. - Rb Shmyr made the decisin t step dwn after serving since the inceptin f Carrt River Ecnmic Develpment when CRED began as a Cmmittee in the fall f It then went n t becme a wrking Bard apprved and funded by the Twn f Carrt River and the RM f Mse Range #486 in January In Chairman Kevin Mazurek s wrds, Rb brught a grand utlk n Carrt River and area. His effervescence and enthusiastic views were cntagius and helped us achieve and maintain mmentum behind sme f the main gals we have accmplished. Rb s full-time psitin n the Bard will be greatly missed. Hwever, he has agreed t remain as an ad hc member, s we will cntinue t benefit frm his input in future planning and his ability t see the vast ptential in ur cmmunity. - Marcy Friesen is a lcal resident wh jined CRED as f January She began a hmebased business she was passinate abut in Nvember 2015 as a sideline incme t her psitin as Executive Superintendant fr KidsFirst in Nipawin SK. With the grwth f her entrepreneurial success, she made the decisin t g full time in Nvember 2017 with Trapline Creatins, handmade fur and leather prduct. Marcy has many certificates t her name, many f them relating t her previus emplyment in regards t suicide and FASD (Fetal Alchl Spectrum Disrder). Her backgrund and experience are a strng backbne fr family supprt and grwth which in turn is crucial t cmmunity supprt and grwth. - Evan Wlwski jined the Bard as f January Evan grew up n a farm in the RM f Mse Range. He is currently emplyed as Maintenance Planner at Edgewd Frest Prducts (sawmill) and he farms as well. As frestry and agriculture are tw f the majr industries and supprters f ur lcal ecnmy, his perspective n ecnmic develpment fr the cmmunity and regin will be a definite asset. Evan is an EIT, Engineer in Training, fr agricultural and bi resurce engineering with the University f Saskatchewan. As well t nte, he hlds a design patent fr his wrk n an air drill by name f Aircart Seed Meter. - Marcy and Evan have already attended their first meeting, and it is immediately bvius they are a gd fit and will be a valuable asset t the CRED Bard. With the new year just underway, and further t apprval f their prpsed 2019 budget submitted t the Twn f Carrt River fr apprval, CRED will cntinue t rll ut future planning bjectives.
