The mst hly Mther f Gd is ne and the same in all f Her cns. The clergy and laity wh accmpany the miraculus KurskRt cn must recgnize and understand that a particular mercy f the allhly Thetks has been revealed t them, and that this bedience must be undertaken with fear f Gd, piety, and respnsibility. 2. When transprting the miraculus cn n an airplane, it must abslutely be placed in the hard case t keep it frm any damage. Under n circumstances is it permissible t place the KurstRt cn in a suitcase and place it in checked luggage. The priest carrying the cn with him shuld have an fficial letter f explanatin frm the Higher Church uthrity regarding the Kursk cn. t is allwed t place the cn in the XRay machine if the airprt security authrities request this. 3. n churches, the Kursk cn is placed n a sturdy analgin, and under n circumstances n a flding ne. place fr dnatins is placed near the cn. The size f the Kursk cn is apprximately 14 wide by 16.5 tall. 4. During utdr services with the cn (fr example, at a majr hliday r a yuth camp), all necessary measures must be taken t prtect this ancient cn frm the heat f the sun and frm rain. The cn shuld be placed either in the shade r under a canpy. 5. When the cn is taken in a car t visit hmes and apartments f parishiners, ther parishes, hspitals, and s n, n fewer than tw peple must accmpany the miraculus cn. 6. f the icn must be transprted withut the supervisin f a dicesan clergyman a blessing fr this must be btained frm Bishp Peter fr each specific instance. 7. The Kursk Rt cn is never t be left withut supervisin, neither in a church r in a private hme. 8. t night, the cn is kept either by the ruling bishp, r the Rectr f the church being visited, r with the priest assigned by the hierarch t accmpany the cn. 9. During parish meals, the cn is slemnly carried int the parish halltrapeza with the singing f the trparin f the Kursk cn: s an unassailable wall..., and is placed n a sturdy analgin. 10. Remving the metallic riza (cver) frm the cn is frbidden.

2 11. On church prperty, the Kursk cn may be carried withut its case (the priest being vested in the epitrachelin fr this purpse). Outside f the church and its prperty, the cn is carried in either the sft r hard case, even fr the shrtest f distances. 12. Visitatin f the hmes and apartments f parishiners 1. The priest wh visits the hmes f parishiners is vested in the epitrachelin when he accmpanies the miraculus cn. 2. n the hme t be visited a table shuld be prepared where the cn may be set during the mleben. t is recmmended that the table be cvered with a clean white tableclth, and that all be arranged s the cn will be in a maximally stable psitin (a pillw wuld be sufficient fr this purpse). 3. candle r lampada (vigil lamp) is lit either befre the cn r in the icn crner. 4. list f names (f the living nly) is prepared and placed n the table fr cmmemratin at the mleben. 5. f the visit with the cn takes place in the evening when it is dark, the lights shuld be turned n in all f the rms, since the miraculus cn will be carried arund the whle huse r apartment. 6. t is the duty f parish Rectrs t instruct their parishiners in advance (frm the amb, n the parish message bard, in the parish newsletter, as a separate instructin sheet, n the web site f the parish) hw they shuld receive the miraculus cn in their hmes and apartments.
