1 Nevada Department of Transportation SB 377 Quarterly Report January 1 to March 31, 2011 In the 2009 Legislative Session, Senate Bill 377 (SB 377) was passed into law. This allowed the Director of the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) to solicit informal bids for projects with an estimated cost not in excess of $250,000. Per the quarterly reporting requirements contained in SB 377, this report provides the following information (refer to attached spreadsheet): (a) The name of the contractor to whom the contract was awarded (b) The amount of the contract awarded (c) brief description of the project (d) The names of all contractors from whom bids were solicited SUMMRY In the period of January 1, 2011 to March 31, 2011, NDOT executed fourteen contracts that were solicited for informal bids. For the contracts executed this quarter, fifty-seven different contractors were solicited. The number of contractors contacted on an individual solicitation varied from a minimum of three to a maximum of thirteen. These fourteen contracts have a total value of $1,760, The contracted amount of projects in District I (southern Nevada) ranged from $123, to $244, The scope of work on the projects included: Bridge deck seal on Tropicana venue bridge Repave on-ramp at I-515 and I-15 interchange The contracted amount of the project in District II (northwest Nevada) $147,960. The scope of work on the project included: ITS devices on I-80 at the Trinity Interchange The contracted amount of projects in District III (northeast Nevada) ranged from $91, to $245, The scope of work on the projects included: Guardrail repair on I-80 in Eureka County Remove and replace cattle guards in Elko County Right-of-way fencing in Elko County Construct sidewalk on SR 225, Mountain City Highway The contracted amount of projects by rchitecture Division ranged from $29, to $253, The scope of work on the projects included: Vehicle storage building reroofing at Eureka Maintenance Station Epoxy paint floors at the Carson City and Las Vegas lab buildings Residential reroofs of two residential buildings and shop building roof repair at the Orovada Maintenance Station Boiler replacement at the Goldfield and Big Smoky Maintenance Stations 1
