Emission factors by veh-km (with no consideration of occupancy rate) Ratio between passenger cars-taxis-urban buses: Palacio de Cibeles. 26 th November 2014
Specific analysis for passenger cars within M-30
In Madrid, diesel passenger cars account for 86% of the NOx emissions Within M30, this value rises to the 89% Palacio de Cibeles. 26 th November 2014
NOx emissions are driven, basically, by diesel vehicles (89%) NO 2 emissions are even more driven by diesel vehicles (99%) PM emissions are also generated by diesel vehicles (86%) Petrol influence on CO 2 emissions is higher (39%)

Comparison with the previous study Mileage distribution
Increase of passenger car contribution to NOx and NO 2 emissions in 37% and 24% compared to 2009 For diesel an increase of 46% and 26% while a 7% and 36% decrease for petrol Urban buses (EMT) emission decrease of 33% and 57%
Conclusions Concerning NOx emissions in the city: 1. Passenger cars are the main contributor (65%) (80.7% in terms of mileage) 2. Diesel passenger cars corresponds to a 56% of total NOx emissions (55.1% in mileage) 3. Urban buses contribute to a 7.5% while taxis to 4.1% (0.88% & 5.05%, mileage) 4. Secondary emission factors for cars-taxi-emt are: g/km With respect to CO 2 emissions in the city: 1. Passenger cars are also the main contributors (73%) (Diesel: 48%, Petrol: 25%) 2. Urban buses (EMT) emit a 4.1% while taxis emit a 4.3% 3. Emission factors for cars-taxi-emt are: g/km Within M30: 1. The main contributor to NOx emissions is the diesel car (53.5%), followed by bus (17.6%) and taxis (9.3%) 2. Compared to 2009 data, passenger cars contribution has raised (+37%) while urban buses has decreased (-33%) as well as taxis (-4%) Palacio de Cibeles. 26 th November 2014
