4 < RUT > RUT RUTS RUTS recaution for Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) "R " and "ST T R-TSR" : The Supplemental Restraint System such as R and ST T R-TSR, used along with a front seat belt, helps to reduce the risk or severity of injury to the driver and front passenger for certain types of collision. nformation necessary to service the system safely is included in the SR and S section of this Service anual. WR: To avoid rendering the SRS inoperative, which could increase the risk of personal injury or death in the event of a collision which would result in air bag inflation, all maintenance must be performed by an authorized SS/T dealer. mproper maintenance, including incorrect removal and installation of the SRS, can lead to personal injury caused by unintentional activation of the system. or removal of Spiral able and ir ag odule, see the SR section. o not use electrical test equipment on any circuit related to the SRS unless instructed to in this Service anual. SRS wiring harnesses can be identified by yellow and/or orange harnesses or harness connectors. RUTS W US WR TS (R R TR) RS WR: When working near the irbag iagnosis Sensor Unit or other irbag System sensors with the gnition or engine running, T use air or electric power tools or strike near the sensor(s) with a hammer. eavy vibration could activate the sensor(s) and deploy the air bag(s), possibly causing serious injury. When using air or electric power tools or hammers, always switch the gnition, disconnect the battery and wait at least three minutes before performing any service. recaution for Work : When removing or disassembling each component, be careful not to damage or deform it. f a component may be subject to interference, be sure to protect it with a shop cloth. When removing (disengaging) components with a screwdriver or similar tool, be sure to wrap the component with a shop cloth or vinyl tape to protect it. rotect the removed parts with a shop cloth and prevent them from being dropped. Replace a deformed or damaged clip. f a part is specified as a non-reusable part, always replace it with a new one. e sure to tighten bolts and nuts securely to the specified torque. fter installation is complete, be sure to check that each part works properly. ollow the steps below to clean components: - Water soluble dirt: ip a soft cloth into lukewarm water, wring the water out of the cloth and wipe the dirty area. Then rub with a soft, dry cloth. - ily dirt: ip a soft cloth into lukewarm water with mild detergent (concentration: within 2 to 3%) and wipe the dirty area. Then dip a cloth into fresh water, wring the water out of the cloth and wipe the detergent off. Then rub with a soft, dry cloth. - o not use organic solvent such as thinner, benzene, alcohol or gasoline. - or genuine leather seats, use a genuine leather seat cleaner. -4

The electronic verification is performed between and ntelligent Key when the push-button ignition switch is pressed, while the ntelligent Key is within the detection area of inside key antenna. T: The driver should carry the ntelligent Key at all times. ntelligent Key has 2 s [ntelligent Key and VS (TS) ]. t can perform the door lock/unlock operation and the push-button ignition switch operation when the registered ntelligent Key is carried. When ntelligent Key battery is discharged, engine can be started by operating push-button ignition switch after contacting ntelligent Key backside to push-button ignition switch. t that time, the VS (TS) verification is performed. f the is successfully verified, when push-button ignition switch is pressed, the engine can be started. Up to 4 ntelligent Keys can be registered (ncluding the standard ntelligent Key) upon request from the customer. or initialization and registration of ntelligent Key, refer to mmobilizer mode and follow the onscreen instructions. -9
