WRNN S/NTR S WRNN S/NTR S : System iagram N: WN0009 WRNN S/NTR S : System escription N: RSSUR WRNN The oil pressure warning lamp is controlled by the /R (intelligent power distribution module engine room). ow oil pressure causes the oil pressure switch to provide a ground signal to the /R. The /R then signals the combination meter (unified meter control unit) via the N communication lines and ground is provided to the oil pressure warning lamp. When outside temperature is less than 3 (37 ), display shows Y. The indicated temperature is not affected by engine heat. t changes only when one of the following conditions exists. When vehicle speed is more than approximately 20 km/h (12 ). The ignition switch has been turned for more than 3.5 hours. 12 < UNTN NSS > TR SYST This warning appears when the windshield washer fluid level is low. When the windshield washer fluid level is low, the washer level switch provides a ground signal to the combination meter (unified meter control unit). The message will be displayed after the ignition switch is turned on for 3 minutes. nce fluid is added, the message will stay on for 30 seconds and then turn off. RN R NTR When the ignition switch is in the N position and the parking brake is applied, the indicator will turn on. When the parking brake is applied, the parking brake switch provides a ground signal to the combination meter (unified meter control unit). Then, when the ignition switch is turned N and vehicle speed is greater than 5 km/h (3 ), the message is displayed. RUS NTR The cruise indicator message is displayed when the cruise control main switch is turned on. The provides an S N signal to the combination meter (unified meter control unit) via N communication lines. RUS ST NTR The cruise set indicator message is displayed when the vehicle speed is controlled by the S system. 13 < UNTN NSS > SS escription SS N: SRTN With the ignition switch in the N position, and the mode (N) switch N, the compass display will indicate the direction the vehicle is heading. Vehicle direction is displayed as follows: N: north : east S: south W: west ZN VRTN STTN RUR The difference between magnetic north and geographical north can sometimes be great enough to cause false compass readings. This difference is known as variance. n order for the compass to operate properly (accurately) in a particular zone, the zone variation must be calibrated using the following procedure. Zone Variation hart 0447 W W etermine your location on the zone map. 2. Turn the ignition switch to the N position. 3. ress and hold the mode (N) switch for about 5 seconds. The current zone number will appear in the display. 4. ress the mode (N) switch repeatedly until the desired zone number appears in the display. nce the desired zone number is displayed, stop pressing the mode (N) switch and the display will show a compass direction after a few seconds. 14 < UNTN NSS > SS The compass display is equipped with an automatic correction function. f the compass display reads or the direction is not shown correctly, perform the correction procedure below. 1. ress and hold the mode (N) switch for about 9 seconds. The display will read. 2. rive the vehicle slowly in a circle, in an open, safe place. The initial calibration is completed in about three turns.
