Provide pricing to furnish and deliver gear reducers, torque arm and belt guards for Rotating Biological Contactors for the Rockland County Sewer District # 1, located at 4 Route 340, Orangeburg, NY Reducers are to be Browning #415SMT148 or approved equal. This bid does not include the motor, just the gear box. Bidder s are to provide pricing for standard torque arms and belt guards for the Browning #415SMT148 or approved equal. 2. REQUIREMENTS 2.1. The gear reducers shall be triple reduction unit with an input power rating of 5 horsepower The reducers shall be designed for Class 2 service according to the specifications of the American Gear Manufacturers Association The design shall be based on maximum anticipated service loading conditions Seals shall be adequate for high moisture, high humidity service. 3. MANUFACTURER S DESCRIPTION AND SPECIFICATIONS 3.1. Bidders must submit manufacturer s product description and specifications with bid. 4. PRODUCT WARRANTIES 4.1. Bidders must include all product service warrantees with their bids. 5. APPROVED EQUAL OR EQUIVALENT ITEMS 5.1. Bidder SHALL submit Manufacturer s product description and specifications the bid Bidder shall list five entities currently using the product with similar equipment (see certificate of experience page in the bid package) Bidder shall submit with their bid a written guarantee attesting to the compatibility of item bid with existing equipment in the Rockland Count Sewer District # If offering an equivalent product, bidder shall submit, with the bid proposal, an item by item listing and explanation of any differences between their product specifications and the listed bid specifications, drawings and requirements. Failure to supply this information shall result in your bid being deemed non responsive The Gear reducers are part of an engineered system and require exact replacements (no adapters) due to mounting configurations. 6. BRAND NAME 6.1. The use of a brand name is for the purpose of describing a standard of quality, performance and characteristics desired and is not intended to limit or restrict competition. Any alterations to this document made by the Offeror may be grounds for rejection of the proposal, cancellation of any subsequent award, or any legal remedies available to the County of Rockland.
