1 Request For Bids Solid Waste Refuse Hauling and Disposal in the Midas Solid Waste Management Districts is requesting bid proposals for the Solid Waste Refuse Hauling and Disposal for the Midas Solid Waste Management Districts. Midas District area includes Midas which has a waste bin facility located near town. This request for bid proposals will include service of the district named above, with a four (4) year contract and with the option of a four (4) year renewal agreement upon favorable review. Businesses, Companies or Contractors must be properly licensed in the state of Nevada for this activity and qualified to submit a bid in writing, as per the instructions. They must be able to furnish the services for the Midas District area. Bids shall be on a per haul basis including these items: Tipping fees per ton Hauling costs Bin rentals Equipment rental reserves the right to set haul frequency, including seasonally or per event. The provider will ensure they are capable of supplying bins and hauling service on an as called basis. 2 A bid amount shall include the following description of service and equipment: Description of service: MIDAS SOLID WASTE DISTRICT: Provide steel solid waste containers at various community locations to receive acceptable solid waste. Provide transport service to exchange empty containers with loaded containers at least every other week to include cleanup of the container area. Provide solid waste disposal service at a facility that meets or exceeds all local, state, or federal regulations or standards. Description of equipment: Provide one (1) steel roll-off container [forty (40) cubic yard minimum capacity] at each of the community locations. Trailers shall have covers suitable for hauling and storage of solid waste. Provide a semi-tractor and driver to transport, place empty refuse containers and to transport out the full refuse containers. In addition to the twice monthly service, this waste transport service is an on-demand or as-needed service and the provider must be capable of responding to a call for service. The provider must be able to demonstrate the ability to provide necessary back-up equipment for all the above listed equipment in working order to keep accumulations of solid waste from occurring at either community locations. Certification not to boycott Israel Provider will certify that it is not currently engaged in, and agrees for the duration of the contract not to engage in, a boycott of Israel pursuant to NRS (2). 3 Solid Waste Refuse Hauling and Disposal in the Salt Lake Basin and Salmon Falls Solid Waste Management Districts BID SUBMITTAL INSTRUCITONS FOR THE MIDAS SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT DISTRICT: Sealed bids shall be submitted no later than November 26, 2018 at 3:00 P.M. (PST) at the Office of Community Development, 540 Court St. Suite 104,, Elko, Nevada Sealed bids will be publicly opened and read at 3:15pm (PST) on Monday November 26, 2018 in the Office of Community Development Department, 540 Court Street, Suite 104, Elko, Nevada Award recommendations will be made on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 during the regularly scheduled Commission meeting. Bids shall be clearly marked BID FOR: ELKO COUNTY SOLID WASTE REFUSE HAULING AND DISPOSAL FOR THE MIDAS SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT DISTRICT. Bids shall not be accepted that are sent via fax or that do not conform to the specifications as stated. reserves the right to review all bids and to select the bid proposal that best fits with the needs of the area and s management policies, or to reject any or all bids for inconsistencies in the proposal or if it is deemed that the bidder cannot meet the intent of the specifications. further reserves the right to verify that all equipment listed is in good serviceable condition. In the event that back up equipment is on a rental basis the bidder shall supply a list of equipment and place where it is kept along with an agreement signed by the rental agency for timely supply of the equipment. All bidders shall supply with the bid document a reference history showing at least five (5) years of service with facilities similar to the operations listed herein. The reference list shall be complete with contact names, fax or telephone numbers, and mailing addresses.
