4 The stry f ur practice as seen thrugh sme f ur key prjects : The fllwing is a summary f ur jurney seen via key prjects we have undertaken ver the last 24 years: The new Ettalng Beach War Memrial Club & Mantra Resrt : This was ur first majr prject after cmmencing practice in We were intrduced t the Club wh needed t prvide a new carpark facility but did nt have the funds t d s. We prvided the cncept f a strata apartment htel in the air-space ver their Club and then assisted them in all stages f bringing this int reality. Frm the prceeds they were able t build bth a new car park but als a new majr Club facility. PTI prvided Architecture, Interir Design and Develpment Management Services fr the prject. Mantra Sydney Apartment Htel, 433 Kent : Our next majr prject in the mid 1990s was ne f the first majr serviced apartment develpments in the Sydney CBD. We prvided the develpment cncept fr a Client wh had purchased this cmmercially zned site and were lking fr the way t best develp the site. We assisted them with all aspects f the reslutin f the cncept, the Architecture and Interir Design and the management f the develpment and cnstructin prcess. The prperty achieved the highest prices at the time fr strata htel apartments. Thrugh ur cntacts we intrduced a htel manager t the develper and frm this the Pacific Internatinal Htel Grup was brn. This was ultimately bught by the grup which has becme Mantra Htels. Mantra Htel and Serviced Apartments, Parramatta: with the success f the 433 Kent St, ur next majr prject was t develp a similar but larger prject in Parramatta. Cnsisting f 2 twers, ne a htel the ther serviced apartments, it was ne f the first suburban prjects where turism strata apartments were sld fr investment. This prject was develped in time fr the Sydney Olympics where it hused the US Dream Team (men s basketball). Prpsal fr PTI Services Octber

5 Entrance Plaza Htel : Als develped in time fr the Sydney Olympics this prject n the NSW Central Cast als capitalized n the investment market that ur Ettalng prject had expsed. Fr this prject we assisted ur Client t win a cmpetitin t develp the site and then prvided Architectural services t undertake the prject. It is nw perated by the Oaks chain. A number f Accr time share prperties : One f ur next majr tasks was as Architect fr Accr s time share divisin. We prvided Architecture and Interir Design Services fr a number f prperties arund Australia including their Bwral and Palm Cve prperties and thers arund Asia and the Pacific. 8 Htel s The Pensine, Sydney : One f the first prperties f this grup was The Pensine in Sydney. Needing smething different t enable the prject wrk financially, PTI assisted t cnceive the idea fr the prperty based n the successful Eurpean Pensine mdel. We then assisted t develp the cncept fr what was a new idea in the lcal market, the melding f a butique htel with a backpacker facility. The prperty has been very successful and has led t a range f ther such prperties arund the cuntry. Unildge@UNSW and ther student accmmdatin prperties: PTI has als been the Architect fr a range f ther managed accmmdatin buildings. 6 PTI p770 / Bsd Prperties fr Base backpackers : PTI has been wrking fr Base nw fr mre than 10 years. Fr many years it has been the leader and at the fre-frnt in this market with its cmbinatin f backpacker accmmdatin, htel accmmdatin and extensive F&B facilities. Peppers Hervey Bay : in 2005 PTI was engaged t assist ur Client t create a majr strata resrt facility in Hervey Bay, Queensland. PTI intrduced a develpment partner t ur Client and tgether they develped the prperty. Like the Entrance Plaza prject it was an pprtunity t create a majr htel facility in a twn that was yet t have such a prperty. There are many issues t address in such a case and PTI assisted ur Client with many including intrducing Peppers t the develpers. 2 new brand prperties fr Turaust : At arund this time, PTI als wrked fr Turaust crpratin, ne f Australia s largest htel cmpanies at the time. We designed their new Cncept Cuntry Cmfrt 3 star brand and their Chifley Htel 4 star brand prperties. This led t the develpment f a number f htels including the flagship Chifley Dvetn which was develped by Lend Lease. Prir t the GFC this chain was being expanded cnsiderably with PTI designing many prjects. This stpped with the GFC. This prperty has since been bught by AHL and re-branded as an Atura Htel Prpsal fr PTI Services Octber

7 Over the time f the GFC there were a very limited number f new htel prjects being undertaken in Australia. Over this time, PTI was invlved in a number f prjects in Papua New Guinea. These included the design f a new twn and majr mining accmmdatin facility, that was intended t later be a resrt cmplex, n the island f Lihir, as well as a majr new htel fr Prt Mresby and several ther significant prjects. Over this time we became invlved with mdular prefabricated cnstructin which prvides many advantages when building in the Pacific islands. Over the last few years we have wrked fr AHL (the wners f the Rydges and QT brands) as the Architect fr their new Atura brand f htels. These are being develped fr the mdern business traveler wh seeks an experience that is high n character, service and value. The first prperty has been cmpleted in Blacktwn. The prperty was named at the 25th annual NSW Turism Awards as winner f the Standard Accmmdatin Award fr Excellence, as well as Best Mid-Range Accmmdatin Australia at the natinal 2014 Australian Htel Assciatin Awards fr Excellence, and best Mid- Range Htel Accmmdatin f the Year at the 2014 Turism Accmmdatin Awards (NSW) Awards. Always lking fr new ways t deliver mre cst effective htel and accmmdatin prperties fr ur Clients, ver the last few years PTI has been further investigating the advantages f prefabricated, mdular cnstructin. These are the culminatin f ur years f experience and research int designing prperties that enable guests t cme away truly relaxed, re-energised and re-juvenated.
