SUBMITTING DEPARTMENT: Department olrublic Services - Field Operations Division CITY MANAGER APPROVA~".vi1 (1L & EXPENDITURE REQUIRED $32,497 AMOUNT BUDGETED $119,000 ($38,000 for Lifts) LINE ITEM NUMBER BACKGROUND INFORMATION: As part of the City Budget, Council allocated funding for the purchase of a mobile lift system to augment the two fixed floor lifts located in DPS maintenance bays. The portable lifts will give the City enhanced flexibility to lift up to 72,000 pounds from one control interface on any level hard surface. The attached photographs show an elevated truck using the Stertil KOI\l1 lift system. On September 30, 2009 nine bids were received following a public bidding period. Upon a thorough evaluation, the Department determined that CTT Equipment, llc met all specifications by providing a responsive bid on the portable equipment lift system, consisting of four (4) portable 18,000 pound equipment lifts, including all specified hardware.
