1 NOTICE INVITING BIDS 2018 DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS VEHICLE CITY OF BEAVER DAM, WISCONSIN Sealed volumes, containing proposals, will be received at the City Clerk s Office of the City of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, in the City Hall Building at 205 S. Lincoln Avenue until 2:30 P.M. on Wednesday, September 5, Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud at a Bid Opening at the City Hall Building in the Engineering Office at 2:30 PM on Wednesday, September 5, Proposals will then be reviewed, tabulated and presented to the Operations Committee at its regularly scheduled meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 17, 2018, for recommendation of Award of Purchase to the Common Council at its next regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, September 17, 2018, to furnish the following: ONE (1) 2018 PICKUP TRUCK Specifications, including proposal forms, are attached. All proposals must be on forms furnished by the City of Beaver Dam. The City of Beaver Dam reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding procedure. 2 GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS AND PROVISIONS PROCEDURE OF LETTING EQUIPMENT CITY OF BEAVER DAM BEAVER DAM, WISCONSIN 1. All bids must be in the office of the City Clerk, City Hall, 205 S. Lincoln Avenue, Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, by 2:30 p.m. on the date specified on the Notice Inviting Bids. Bids must be sealed and properly identified, giving the name and address of the bidder and marked with the name of item of equipment bid on. All bids are F.O.B., Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, with freight fully prepaid to destination at the Department of Public Works, 640 South Center Street, Beaver Dam, WI. 2. Bids will be publicly opened and read on the date specified in the Notice Inviting Bids. 3. Bids which are entered upon any other form or proposal than the one specified by the City of Beaver Dam may be rejected and not considered for award purposes. 4. The City of Beaver Dam reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to accept such bid as they deem most advantageous to the City of Beaver Dam. The City reserves the right to consider the bids for a period of thirty (30) days from the date of the opening of the bids and will then either award the contract or reject all bids within that time. No bidder may withdraw its bid within the (30) day period.

Size: 4-wheel drive pickup truck, ½-ton rated 3. Engine: Gas V8 5.0 Litre, approx. W/freeze plug type engine heater installed. 4. Transmission: Automatic, 3 forward speeds minimum with cooler. 5. Steering: Power steering 6. Brakes: Power brakes; also mechanical parking brake. 7. Rust Through Warranty: To be included with quotation. 8. Batteries: Dual Heavy-duty and maintenance free. 650 CCA Minimum. 9. Alternator: 130 Amp. Minimum. 10. Box: Standard 8 with spray-in liner meeting the following specifications: Fabick Custom Bedliner including top rail coating or Line X. 11. Tires: 265/70 R17 all season radials with identical spare tire and rim. 12. Painting: Red to match existing Department of Public Works fleet color. Firms submitting quotations must include color swatch or paint chip sample of paint color proposed with the quotation. 13. GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS 1. Operating Manual: To be furnished by successful bidder with delivery of vehicle. 2. Guarantee/Warranty: Manufacturer s guarantee on defective parts and workmanship shall be supplied with bid. Firm awarded purchase shall arrange transportation for minor or major warranty work to be performed outside a 5-mile radius of the City of Beaver Dam. 3. To his proposal, the bidder shall attach literature on the vehicle. Said literature shall list specifications and illustrations of unit offered. Information shall be explicit, showing equipment being bid. The City of Beaver Dam desires this literature so marked as to specifically indicate exactly what will be furnished by the bidder in meeting the requirements herein set forth. Any deviations from specifications must be cleared by the Public Works Management prior to bidding. 4. All questions or inquiries which any proposed bidder may have prior to bidding shall be directed to the Department of Public Works Office at 640 South Center Street, (920) No bidder shall plead ignorance due to lack of prior information. Bids shall be complete in accordance with these specifications, including proposal. 5.
