3 Funding The project is estimated to cost approximately $1.225 billion, of which approximately $785 million is for infrastructure costs and the remaining $440 million is for rolling stock. The project will be financed through a combination of local, state, and federal sources. The project cost estimate and funding plan are being updated to reflect current designs and assumptions. Schedule The preliminary project schedule (subject to change) is as follows: Environmental/ Design/ Permitting: 1-2 years Construction: 3-4 years Commissioning and Testing: 1-2 years The goal for electric revenue service is Project Delivery schedule has not been finalized yet.
