3 Page 3 Parts Lst for DML36SH-CAM (R800) 02/12/ Electrcal Connecton & Wrng Dagram Machnes suppled for use n the UK are ftted wth a 3 pn plug conformng to BS1363, ftted wth a fuse conformng to BS1362 and approprate to the current ratng of the machne. Machnes suppled for use n other countres wthn the European Unon are ftted wth a 2 pn Schuko plug conformng to CEE 7/7. Machnes suppled for use n Australa & New Zealand are ftted wth a 3 pn plug conformng to AS/NZS3112. In all cases, f the orgnal plug or connector has to be replaced for any reason, the wres wthn the mans power cable are colour coded as follows: 230 V (Sngle Phase) Brown: Lve (L) Blue: Neutral (N) Green and Yellow: Earth (E) The wre coloured brown must always be connected to the termnal marked L or coloured red. The wre coloured blue must always be connected to the termnal marked N or coloured black. The wre coloured green and yellow must always be connected to the termnal marked E or wth the earth symbol: or coloured green / green and yellow. It s mportant that the machne s effectvely earthed. Some machnes wll be clearly marked wth the double nsulated logo: In ths case there wll not be an earth wre wthn the crcut. In the case of the BS1363 plug for use n the UK, always ensure that t s ftted wth a fuse conformng to BS1362 approprate to the ratng of the machne. If replacng the orgnal fuse, always ft a fuse of equvalent ratng to the orgnal. Never ft a fuse of a hgher ratng than the orgnal. Never modfy the fuse or fuse holder to accept fuses of a dfferent type or sze. Where the current ratng of the machne exceeds 13 A at 230 V, or f the machne s desgnated for use on a 400 V 3 phase supply a connector conformng to BS4343 (CEE17 / IEC60309) wll be used. 230 V machnes wll be ftted wth a blue 3 pn connector. The wrng for ths type of ths connector wll be the same as shown above. 400 V, 3 phase machnes wll be ftted wth a red 4 or 5 pn connector. The wrng for ths type of connector s as shown below: 400 V (3 phase) Brown: Lve (L1) Black: Lve (L2) Grey: Lve (L 3) Blue: Neutral (N) Green and Yellow: Earth (E) The wre coloured brown must always be connected to the termnal marked L1. The wre coloured black must always be ftted to the termnal marked L2. The wre coloured grey must always be connected to the termnal marked L3. The wre coloured blue must always be connected to the termnal marked N or coloured black. The wre coloured green and yellow must always be connected to the termnal marked E or wth the earth symbol If n doubt about the connecton of the electrcal supply, always consult a qualfed electrcan. Check tems suppled aganst Fg 15.1 shown before proceedng wth converson of the lathe. 2. Clear unnecessary tems from the area of your lathe to ensure that no parts are lost durng the change over.

Release M12 nut and washer securng end bracket, Fg 15.3. NOTE: If the lathe s mounted on the DML24S Legstand, the legs must also be removed and reftted to new end bracket. Fg.15.2 5.

Bowl Rest Banjo Part No. (CKBJ) 1. Check tems suppled aganst Fg 15.1 shown before proceedng wth converson of the lathe. 2. Clear unnecessary tems from the area of your lathe to ensure that no parts are lost durng the change over. End Bracket Part No. (CKER) M12 Ratchet Handle Part No. (CKRH) Part No. (ZABO) 3. Unlock headstock clamp and slde the assembly towards the talstock end of the bed tubes, Fg Release M12 nut and washer securng end bracket, Fg NOTE: If the lathe s mounted on the DML24S Legstand, the legs must also be removed and reftted to new end bracket. Fg Now Re-attach the DML24S Legstand (f used) to the replacement end bracket, Fg Reft bed rals and secure usng M12 Nut. Threaded bar and washer, Fg Check bed rals for algnment as outlned n secton 6 before proceedng. Move Headstock 8. Secure Bowl Rest Banjo to End Bracket usng M12 x 50mm Bolt, Washer and M12 Ratchet Handle. 9. Adjust banjo/toolrest to sut your workpece. Your bowl rest s now ready for use.
